Police and Fire are equally vital, along with AFFORDABLE, EFFICIENT garbage pickup, good streets. I feel we have great services here in our city. Very pleased!

If you take any one away, our city would not be good, so my answer is every one of them. All Are important.

1 1) Cut Library hours 2) Restructure and get rid of the none needed department heads.(Put code enforcement back under Rayes control and get rid of Sandy $90,000 savings) 3) Drive city vehicles an additional 25,000-50,000 miles before getting a new one 4) Cur the newsletter down to a one page two-sided format thus cutting cost 50% or cut it out all together I can find lots of things to cut before what is listed here. |

1 Get rid of city "services" that compete against private businesses. Consolidate services with adjoining cities.....i.e. fire and library. |

2 The best service that I can wish for is a complete house cleaning. That should be first on a list of many. I just hope this don't get swept under the carpet in the shuffle. I will purchase the pink slips. Have a nice day. |

Core services such as Police, Fire, EMS, and DPW Services,(WHICH ARE ALREADY RUNNING LEAN) are the need to haves for any City. The nice to have's such as Library, Parks & Rec, Swimming Pool, Golf Course and Marina are the nice to haves. These nice to haves are the items that should be voted on under a separate millage. The City pool and Marina are a big waste of money and cost the city to operate and maintain, and can only be used (if were lucky) three months out of the year. Get your priorities in check and cut the items that are losers not the core services that keep your families, property and city streets in order.
