Does Ron live in a freaking bubble or what? He thinks non-union people don't live in the city? What, he thinks they'd all have to be bussed in from Detroit, out-of-state, or Mexico? Think again, Ron! Many good non-union workers like me are proud to call St. Clair Shores our home. We pay taxes and shop at SCS stores, too, just like your union buds. We have families to feed. We want local jobs, too. We may not pack a council chamber, but we do vote. You ticked off a good number of your constituency with your "substandard" "minor league" comments, and we're talking to our friends and neighbors.

How dare you, Ron.

Glad to hear that mike buys his supplies in or near SCS. I just didn't know that there was a store around here that sold clown supplies.

Yes, and Ronnie is such a steward with the tax dollars. He would obviously have no problem spending an addition 400k of OUR money to prop up his union thug cronies. No doubt that a good chunk of it would be returned to him in the way of campaign contributions.

I wanna know how many union residents live in the city. My guess less than 25% meaning you have a minority trying to dictate policy to a majority.
The unions no longer have the muscle they used to have. There may have been a time in the past that they did but I am too young to know about it, but I am studying something called right to work in college. Its time to realize your grip though intimidation and other thug like tactics will no longer work. Go ahead and picket or do what ever you guys do, but I think your energy would be better spent trying to find a job.

Look at those stories on the tv news about the Chrysler workers going off-site during their breaks and drinking and smoking dope. Obviously whatever drug or alcohol testing done by Chrysler or the UAW isn't accomplishing anything. So why should we residents believe that the drug testing being done on the skilled tradesmen in attendance at the council meeting is worth anything?

Stop it already. Mike is a repectable worker. He did great things at my house. If this wasnt true, then he wouldnt have a consistent backlog of jobs and jobs lined up. I wonder if he even did get the courthouse gig that he could fit in it the hectic schedule.

People keep saying economy is bad? BS, Mike is evidence thats not the case.

With all the traveling carnivals that come to SCS and the surrounding area every summer it's understandable that mike has had steady work. But now that the carnival season is over there isn't a lot of people looking to hire a clown.

Prevailing wage requirements are like requiring all cares to be priced the same as a Cadillac. It doesn't necessarily mean you get better quality, just more bells and whistles that you likely don't need. And the extra $$$ that are spent end up as campaign donations to the same political hacks that support the union thugs.

For Halloween I'm going to glue a cushion to my butt and a union butt to my lips. Voila instant Frederick costume. First place Scariest Costume here I come. Unless I spend the entire costume party hiding in the hallway with my pals.

I wonder if Stahl still has that blazer I could borrow?
