You must have terrible taste!!!!!
I just finished dining @ jacks and was not impressed at all, portions were small, menu is very limited, food was so-so, service was excellent. Oh by the way, the comment stereotyping boaters was uncalled for. Just because you can't afford a boat bigger than your bathtub will allow, dose not mean you have to bash boaters. Not all people that frequent Jack's are boaters, and they were also surprised @ the plastic coated placemat menu.

Jacks was a golden egg before the current owners let it fail. No wonder it takes someone like Ramsey to push them into some semblance of a reasonable restaurant. Not all boaters are deranged, perhaps this term should be saved for the want to be boaters of all types who frequent the place, big egos, little evidence.

The last time we ate at Jack's, the atmosphere was horrible. It seemed dirty, and lots of loud, cying kids running around and drinking parents... not a pleasant or comfortable scene. Food was below average. Thank god they called Ramsay. We have not gone back.

The previous owner was no saint in running the place either. Not good for business when you threaten the customers.

Went to Jack's last night. What a dsaster!!! The food was awful (fish tacos are putrid and the salmon was sitting in a soup). My grilled marlin came out as chicken medeiro but the turn around on the mistake was less than a minute. I don't believe it was grilled. Doesn't look like Ramsay's changes stuck. I would think twice about going, seriously!

Jack's can definitely be a fun place to hang out but I've never been impressed with their food or service. The service has always been slow, unless you know the bartenders/waitstaff. I'm glad to know that chef Ramsey tried to improve Jacks.

I agree!
But, the menu has been changed at least twice since Chef Ramsey's visit. But, I don't go to Jack's for the food.

Haven't been there since the show, but was there about 2 years ago and the food was something I wouldn't feed my garbage disposal. The atmosphere was mostly drunk 40+ yr olds dressed like they're some 15 yr old hoochie.

I Live close to Jacks, yet never had been there. After reading all of this, I see I Have not missed anything. To bad a nice location like that is not worth going to for dinner.

Wow is all I can say.

Employees drinking, people in the kitchen eating, drinking and smoking where food is being prepared. No matter the improvements I would still not eat there.

The only thing missing was the dead mice in the cooler ala Elizabeths on the lake.

I'll always believe that those dead mice in the cooler at Elizabeths were planted. After all, at that time, Teddy Boy wanted his buddy Ted Gatzaros to get that property and geeze, look what happened!

Speaking of Gatzaros, whatever happened to all the 'development' he was going to bring? Last I heard, he was in discussions to put up some sort of 'assisted living facility' along the stretch of 9 mile.

Elizabeths on the Lake was infested with Cockroches. It was soooooo bad they had to dig very deep down after the building was knocked down to kill them. Look it up. I still have a hard time going into Fishbones because of that. Even though fishbones is clean, the thought of Elizabeths wont leave my mind.
