At least it was not rullien. I heard he got snubbed at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the library....I guess they made him stand off to the side (out of the way) he will probably find a way to harass them also....

If that's true it speaks volumes about the people in charge at the library. I don't even care about his politics or if he's a nice guy in this situation. All that matters in this particular set of circumstances is that he is the elected mayor of Braidwood. Do we really want people in control of a, tax dollar funded institution who can't even make a "show of respect" to our elected officials? They are not only "snubbing" the mayor they are also disrespecting the voters. It makes no difference whether you like this guy or not and I admit I've got my issues, but either way he is the mayor.

Since we're on the subject I gotta say that lately I've felt like an intruder at the library. Who's in charge of that place? Wow what a difference. It used to be a friendly neighborhood place.

Job security. Nobody holds them accountable for their rude behavior. I noticed it too. I took my 5 year old grandson there for the first time. He commented that the lady was crabby. He wanted to find books about the ocean and we tried asking for help. It was discouraging for him. How could someone be rude to a curious 5 year old? They should be encouraging children to read more books. The next week we went to Coal City and had a fantastic experience there. They were more than glad to show us around.

I have to agree with the posts about the library. My grand children were visiting this summer and I took them to the library,asI took my children when they were young.
The librarian in the young peoples area was down right rude when I asked her for help, it was like I was bothering her!!
I pay taxes to this library and receive no respect at all. I am not the only one feeling this way ,many of my friends feel this way too.
Whom do you complain to? it just seems like issues are falling on deaf ears.

http://www.fossilridge.org/tru stees.htm The board is the place to go. They do care. There already is movement back in the right direction, but they need as much support as they can get.

A lot of good that does, I was referred to the person in charge, wasn't in whenever I went to the library.

I did not see the mayor get snubbed he is standing next everyone and looks happy to see the new bookmoble we all need to be happy that we supply the tax payers with such a nice thing. Its the person with a personal problem against the staff members and carries personal vendetta against any good that goes on now since she left. The racism evil lies thoughts only harms our neighbors and community we needed you away from our children you our not a good example and next time your at church as for forgiveness because we can see behind your MASK!

Wait so you're saying that I was made to feel uncomfortable because somebody else is angry at the library for some unknown reason? I'm confused by this because I can't see how she, whoever "she" is can cause me to feel like an intruder in a tax funded community library. Who is "she" and how does she figure into all of this?
