This whole banning of street performers and the outrageous fees the city is asking is just ludacris!!! It adds alittle something to downtown, I can understand not wanting them blocking sidewalks or entry ways, but banning them all together is just rotten. I was born on this island in the old Humphries Memorial and I can tell you this island has just gone to crap! I remember a time when the island was free, carefree, relaxing and enjoyable. Now, not so much, the city officials are trying to make it something its not nor will it ever be.. I say remove the city attorney and all officials and replace them with people that truly care about this island and want to bring back the old island charm

The City of St. Augustine is doing the same thing. Wonder if they copied F.B. ordinance. That's how public government attorneys are given outrageous salaries.
