ghost hunters is a pretty boring show.
im a big fan of ghost/paranormal/supernatural stuff but this show's boring. about 1 out of 10 of the episodes are "ok" but, like i said, its mostly boring.
If you wanna see a good "ghost show" you should check out Most Haunted on the Travel channel. that show's pretty good. not every episode kicks ass, but even the worst one is better than the best episode of Ghost Hunters.

Ghost Hunters is all crap they don't prove anything, their cameras are always on the people on the show not filming what is going on. They claim that a white speck of dust is a ghost flying by. If you want to watch a real ghost show watch Most Haunted on the Travel Station, that show will give you the chills.

Yes, interesting subject..I had a cousin with whom I was very close-tho we live a distance from each other..She knew everything about me as I did about her..One day,out of the blue I had an odd feeling around me-hard to describe-that something strange was going to happen [but my thoughts didn't connect with her] at the time. The sensation grew stronger during the day. I even said it to someone ,who passed it off and casually said ''you're spooky''..At 6.10pm I learned that my friend had died very suddenly..She had not been ill..Cant account for it since..any similar experiences out there? |

See, I think it is the other way around. Ghost Hunters try to "de-bunk" the supernatural. They usually dismiss a white speck of dust which looks like an orb as a white speck of dust! Most Haunted cracks me up! Everything that is dust is an orb---a spirit of some sort--never dust! I watch it because it is so ridiculously hilarious!"Dereeck, I hairred a sownd!" Ha, Ha, Ha! |

Well, I like the ghosht hunter's show, but you are right, there are a lot of let downs and so much arrogance you could swim in it. Most Haunted is a good show as weel, but I have to agree about the fake psychics. I think it's all just a matter of opinion.

I like both shows for different reasons, both shows have people hunting for the same thing, but use different tools to do it. Most Haunted uses Dereks (and others)'psychic' abilities to achieve the goal, where Ghost Hunters uses the scientific route, with electronic gagets. Sure, some shows are better than others, but since I'm so interested in this subject I'll watch any show about ghosts. But I'll admit watching Derek go into convulsions and shouting obsenities can be a rather hard pill to swallow. The best show between these two I saw was the Ghost Hunter investigation at the St.Augustine Lighthouse, and the video and EVP's they got. My girlfriend is a skeptic, but that freaked her out! I've taken some very interesting pictures with my camera in certain locations, like the Whaley House in San Diego for instance, I wanna go back.

Problem with using psychics is there's no way to know if they are deluding you, deluding themselves, or are for real. I like the more skeptical approach that Ghost Hunters takes. They won't claim a place is haunted unless they can present good evidence that lacks alternative explainations.
Though Ghost Hunters has it's problems. The editing with dubbed-in dramatic effects is annoying. As is the focus on interpersonal problems that seem trumped-up for the cameras. It would also be nice to have them spend more time on the real hot-spots and have them spend more time investigating for better evidence. For instance, the St Augustine Lighthouse is cool, but you only see the entity from many stairflights away. It would be great to see them return and put more cameras and mikes in that lighthouse and see what they come up with. |

My husband and I have been fans of the show since the beginning. There has yet to be a show that we didn't like, but I must say the light house scared the beejeebies out of me. Thank you for bring your hobby to TV.

Yeah, they should definitly 86 the drama stuff between the TAPS members, and get down to the investigating. I will say another thing that kind of bugs me, and that's when TAPS tells their clients that a certain location is not haunted, when there has been 200 some years of reports from generations of people. I was talking to a couple of docents at The Whaley House, and although it's considered to be one of the most haunted sites in the US, the docents will say weeks can go by before anything unusual happens, but when it does, you know it! So TAPS comes in for a 8 hour window of investigating, which is a very short time, and if nothing happens, they may claim it's not haunted, well try and tell that to the people who live there. I just don't think 8 or 9 hours is enough to come to a conclusion that any place is not haunted. Any of us could spend that amount of time in the most haunted locations in the world, and chances are you would experience nothing. If you did, you could consider yourself quite lucky.

I forgot to mention that the Most Haunted show about the Queen Mary in Long Beach Ca was quite good, I plan on going there soon for the dinner and ghost tour, which I understand is very interesting. They also claimed it was the most haunted location they had ever seen, I think since they started the show, which certainly says something. They also did a show on the Leonis Adobe in Calabasas, Ca, so me and my girl made a visit there just last weekend, it's only about 40 min from where we live. Nice place to spend a afternoon, I took many pictures with a Pentax S4i camera, but didn't catch anything unusual, exept that many shots in the house itself came out quite blurry, and my battery drained way faster than usual. All pics taken outside came out fine. If anyone lives in the LA area here, check this place out, and have lunch right next door at the Sagebrush Cantina, real fun place for eats and a couple of drinks.

Dude, I agree with erm, the other people up there. Ghost Hunters is a show where they give you thae facts, debunk stuff, yeah, they might not find/see/hear anything, but the point of the show is not finding paranormal things on tape, although it helps and is REALLY cool, but the point is to prove or disprove a haunting and help the people who want to know what is happening at these places. So what if they didn't find anything! I true fan (and beliver) would just be happy that TAPS investigated the place the best they could. Sometimes you get activity, sometimes you don't. It's like they say, you can't just turn the paranormal activity on and off.
