Reported on Jacksonville's Chanel WJXT, Athena Restaurant was closed recently because of health department violations. Live roaches and slime were found by inspectors as well as several other violations.

The location is known in St. Augustine for its morning get together of what’s called the Downtown Mafia.(We heard they moved to Duncan Doughnuts on US1 south during the closure.)

The locals already knew of the roach contamination at Athena but we thought it was the two legged sort.
