I find this story compelling in the fact that the average age of these men is 56 years old. This evidence speaks to the nature of this corrupting behavior. Deviant sexual behavior, practiced in the dark, by those who were once ashamed of their corruption is now practiced in public areas. The practice of this behavior reveals the truths that are found in the Bible. These men have rejected the call of God in their lives and God has given them over to the lusts which destroy them. As men seek to satisfy the lusts of their flesh, overtime, these men are driven to find more deviant ways to experience a new and satisfying act. Only Jesus can restore such a fallen man or woman. Only Jesus can fill a life that has destroyed itself.
I agree wholeheartedly. Thank you for your eloquent and thoughtful response. I think if we did some research into past cultures that have ceased to exist, we would find many parallels to the current events in York County, Pennsylvania, and the United States. When individuals are no longer physically able to deny urges and to live their purpose of glorifying their Creator, this culture will as well, cease to exist.

On a personal note, you're exactly right, the presence of Jesus Christ in a fallen individuals life (ANY sin-filled life, not just immorality) will be life-changing.

As the parent of three young children, I would be appalled if I witnessed any public sex acts. As far as I'm concerned, any sex outside of marriage is risky and irresponsible-AIDS and STD's affect everyone, not just those involved in same-sex relationships.

Hey Jen, these were homosexual men and they were predators. So, I guess you're full of crap. It's time to stop being politically correct and call a spade a spade. Maybe if we were to tie one of these buttbuddies to a tree, they'd stay out of the park!
And just how are they predators? Are they after your nasty ugly butt? No they are after another hairy butt. They were not doing anything to warrant being labelled as predators. Is it OK to have a straight couple engaging in sex in the park? Are they predators? The only reason you call them that is because you are a homophobic, redneck, inbred, bigot. Keep your trailer where it is and keep your husband/brother happy and you will be fine.

That's the funny thing about this story. Not one person had actually seen any activity. So if you weren't afraid to go to the park before, why would you be now? Do people actually believe that nothing bad is going on in public parks? Are you kidding me? You don't think any drug deals go down in a public park? You don't think people meet there to conduct illegal activities? How naive are these people?

the guy in the story walking his dog isn't afraid of people attacking him. He's afraid of people thinking that he's trolling for a sex partner.

He has a family and a job and doesn't want his taking his dog for a walk in the park to be whispered about.

"Well, so-and-so goes to the park all the time to walk his dog."

"Heh, heh, so that's what the kids are calling it nowadays."

Get it? He knows it would negatively affect his social relationships and professional relationships to be thought to be engaging in anonymous sex with other older men at a public park.

Its not the homosexuality that freaks us out, its the public sex between anonymous strangers in the same place that many of us like to have picnics and playground time with our kids.

Its creepy. And the original story had lots of stories of how the parks were getting to be unsafe for children because people kept stumbling upon these men engaging in sex acts.

I don't care if you're straight, gay, or whathaveyou. Just don't expose yourself in public. If you're that hard up for physical attention, see a psychiatrist to work through your issues. Don't work through them in public where you risk accidentally exposing yourself to a child.

I know one of those men, and he is mortified that the story came out and that his family has been subjected to this sort of thing. At the same time, had someone been selfish enough to engage in public sex and been accidentally discovered by his kids, he would have been the first one to complain loudly and legally about it.

I read the story, and Im sorry, but I didnt catch
the part where,Jesus Christ, was at Rocky Ridge
or William Kain Park.I didnt read any references
to God either. As far as I know,a bunch of hard up
old farts went to these parks to pay for sex.
How did religion enter the picture? It seems like

this is a sad story, but no where does it refere to the women involved in this sex sting the played a part in the activities as well.
we need to start being balanced in these reportings.
also "citations" our children visit these places, we take our family to these places to enjoy our community. law enforcment needs to be put into a position as to where they can arrest these criminals and put them in jail with about a 100,000.00 dollar bail.
they ruin our family time so that would ruin their reputation and or their bank accounts.

The sad thing here is that it not only perpetuates the stereotype of homosexual men as sexual predators but it proves it. No wonder there is such distain for this group. I have lived a lot of places and I have never found the views on gay people much differant here than anywhere else. I would offer the recent election in Maine as proof of that.
hey buddy I can bet at least 5)5 or more of these guys are married and attend church on a regular basis thats why they goal church is full of more sinners than anything GAFL

"Not from York". For the sake of the argument, lets say you are correct. Dosent change a thing that "Sorry youre gay wrote". It seems you have a lot of anger to vent. I can only imagine how you must feel when the majority of society looks at you and wants to vomit.

I use Rocky Ridge 3 days a week year long and have done so for two years and have never been approached by one of these men. Don't get me wrong they should not be there but unless you are looking like you are gay and also wanting sex you have nothing to worry about. I have never felt in danger. What a stupid story.

The fact that these are older men really relates to the past practices of gay men. I'm well over 50, and nearly 40 years ago a teacher at my school was picked up in one of these stings. I think they are wrong if they are committing these acts in public -- but I think everyone should keep sex private.
This story is just plain silly.

Very true... If you go up there looking for love, your probably gonna find it... Or ya could give that special foot touch signal under the stall inthe restroom.... So go for your walks, just keep your fly up and don't worry !!

The man in the article is not afraid of gay men or witnessing a sexual act, etc. He is fearful that he could be set-up. I'd be afraid to smile or say hello to someone, as it could be construed as a come on.
