They are quick to argue with you and wanted to charge 25 to 150 dollars just to talk with me about a coin set I bought elce where, what do they think that they are better than PCGS who charges approx 50 dollars to professionally grade a coin. What Gives! Im sure the man could be reasionable but with the wife around that buisness is doomed. What ever happened to customer service and just the love of the coins. I would have bought some supplys from them but the wife started right in on me yelling and I left. I will never return and just my opnion I advise for anyone new to collecting dont go there they will scare you away from the loveof the collection.
Milkman I remember you you got taken by some else and wanted my opinion well guess what I charge $50.00 per hour for appraisals and do I think I am better than the grading companies "Yes I am I have 50 years experience and don't need customers like you. Bill Crone

Found this place to be the worst customer service I've ever witnessed. We travel the country looking for coins and happened upon this store. Beyond being told we wouldn't buy anything - which he was right - not because we weren't capable but because I don't support businesses which treat customers this way. There are many reputable businesses to purchase from. I would strongly recommend staying away from this company. How can you trust these guys?

I found these folks to be pleasent and enjoyable. When not busy they enjoy a good chat as much as anyone.

I buy in bulk. That being said, mr.crone has always treated me very fair and has been very easy to deal with. I buy thousands of wheat pennies and Indian heads every time im there. From a searcher prospective, I have found lots of key notes and double dies buying from mr. crone. I then sell my finds to other coin stores and online and have made a great profit. If you are a searcher I recommond crones coins. I also suggest going in the morning when they open, they are not as busy and you will get the attention you deserve. Keep in mind crones coins is a business and not a place to hang out ar and waste time. I have found them to be honest, freindly, and very much worth my business.

I went in one time only just trying to find some new places to buy - looked at a gold 20 franc coin. They quoted me an astronomical price - somewhere between 2 and 3 times the spot price of gold at the time - no explanation to support the price - haven't gone back since. Just be careful and know what you're buying and an idea of what the price should be. I'll never go back. If anyone ever asks me, I direct them somewhere else.
