I hate dealing with these people. True, they've been around for a while and have a decent selection of bills and coins. But their salesmanship and customer service is in the toilet. It would be nice to deal with someone with a pleasant demeanor and cheerful attitude rather than feeling like you're just some shlep off the street doing them a favor by paying their inflated prices. My suggestion is go to eBay or call Steinmetz.

I've found when the owner's wife isn't around, the environment is much more pleasant, sort of like a barbershop.

I went to Crone's Coins for help in evaluating coints from my parent's estate. Mr. Crone was very helpful and gave good advice so I could separate the wheat from the chaff with over 1000 coins to be evaluated. While you may not like the advice, I found it to be honest advice. I had gone to another coin dealer in Red Lion(who is no longer in business) and never felt comfortable with the owner.

I feel the same way about their demeanor...they are just plain nasty and inconsiderate people to deal with!

I agree with Michelle from Gettysburg. Mr. Crone is great to deal with, his wife however is a completely different story!! I find I avoid the shop on many occasions because of her!! It saddens me that she is so miserable.

It's too bad that the lady is involved with the business. She is not an asset.

To your response I recall you were the worst customer I ever encountered in the 50 odd years I been in business. I feel very sorry for you.

CRONE'S COINS HAS EVERYTHING YOU CAN DREAM OF. I am sure they have the coins that MARK FROM CAMP HILL is looking for.
Terrier 151 is correct in every way.
However, Coin investing is crucial to my financial plan especially when those BUSH tax cuts are not renewed in 2011 and especially in 2012 when stock dividends tax goes up. I have to completely rearrange my IRA.
When I go there with cash everything is fine. I plan on learning a lot from him. They have a great collection/selection of coin books. MOST IMPORTANT, they HAVE ALL THE COINS IN THEIR STORE TO FILL THOSE BOOKS. NO RUNNING AROUND WASTING GAS.
SO-SUCK IT UP. LISTEN TO GLENN BECK. BUY YOUR GOLD,SILVER, and CURRENCY FROM CRONES.

They are quick to argue with you and wanted to charge 25 to 150 dollars just to talk with me about a coin set I bought elce where, what do they think that they are better than PCGS who charges approx 50 dollars to professionally grade a coin. What Gives! Im sure the man could be reasionable but with the wife around that buisness is doomed. What ever happened to customer service and just the love of the coins. I would have bought some supplys from them but the wife started right in on me yelling and I left. I will never return and just my opnion I advise for anyone new to collecting dont go there they will scare you away from the love of the collection.

I found that they are very rude and will argue
with you for no reason. They seem like very
miserable people especially when the wife is there.
One time I go in, Mr. Crone is nice and easy to
talk to and answer questions and then the next
time I go in the wife is there and they start yelling at me for no reason and said they didn't want to due business with me and basically asked me to leave. It is a shame they don't treat all customers the same, because they would have more business. If your not a high volume buyer they could care less about you.
Finally my advice would be to go somewhere else, because they suck.
