I've heard this for over 40 years and until the day that I die will never see that road completed from Salamanca to Springville. Cattaraugus county is a depressed area and hasn't had any strong represenatation since the time served by Dan Walsh. Pennsylvania hasn't done much better. Get used to it because the road will never be completed.

Now why would you want a new major north south route connecting Buffalo and Canada to Washington D.C. and major cities in the south?
It just might bring some Business back to this area.
If we could only cut the state taxes and get a new Bridge built.
And you know nobody wants that to happen.
If anybody gave a s--- they would have had this major truck route done years ago.
Maybe if the Native Americans put up their toll booths on the thruway this just might get some backing to get the thing done.

For once it would be nice to come on TOPIX and have an intelligent discussion.
But I see that will not be happening soon.

How much more can "the white man" do to "help the natives out"? The SNI wants all the perks of being a sovereign nation, but also all the perk of not. Please explain to me what else the white people can do to help that we are already not doing! BTW...Most of Salamanca wasn't a reservaton until the 60s. The were white people there before that and are unlucky enoug to not be able to leave.

Question for you.
If Salamanca wasn't Seneca land then why did they have to renew the land lease that had run for 100 years?
Just wondering

The purpose of completing 219 is to allow people from the areas south of Buffalo to come to the new Bass Pro store. The road will be built as soon as us taxpayers finish buying our store. This is a complicated process because we have to keep track of politicians, unions and building inspectors to make sure they don't get paid off more than the allocated number of times. I'm surprised the state hasn't started collecting sales tax on bribes.

"really" is very confrontational and maybe he should mind his own business and delve into Little Valley problems, since he lives there.
