I do not understand why Judge Michael Pietruszka of the Buffalo courts, who presided over this case, could give such a light sentence to Ray Jamison, when Mr. Jamison was driving w/a suspended license. In fact he has had his license suspended 10 times and he is only 21. A year ago he pleaded guilty to Aggarvated Unlicensed Operation. This still did not affect Mr.Jamison to not drive, and so it goes,he continued to drive-this time drunk with 4 passagers in his car.He then preceded to rearend a just off duty police officer. Who suffered horrific injuries and died aprox 12 hours later. Two of his passagers were also injured. He was charged w/Vehicle Manslaugter,Vehicle Assult. and DWI and the punishment-----6 (six months) and the judge-the great Judge Pietruszka also hoped he would submit to inpatient treatment,IF Necessary. Is this a sick joke on our system.People have been know to get longer sentence's for much-much smaller "crimes" Is this a fair sentence or is it about who you know and how much money you or your family have. Is this how this Judge usually rules in DWI cases. If anyone knows I would love to find out.
