One lady died, one lady is in JPS in critical condition and the man is home with cuts and bruises.
The car had overheated & the man was checking under the hood. Who knows why the truck did not see them.

Yes I know what happened... some random idiot decides he doesnt want to pay attention while he is driving 20 miles over the speed limit and ram's the back of my husbands Grandmothers car killing her instantly!!! When your driving it is the sole responsibility of the person behind the wheel to pay attention and be aware of all your surrounings at all times! Not fly down the road at the speed you desire and plow into someone because your just not paying attention! She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great granmother, an aunt and a friend and she was a very respectable woman! We as her family are asking that if you have any additional information that would help us in getting this man justice for the taking of our grandmother please email it to [email protected] Might I add that she also just survived cancer and had some removed from her stomach she was recovering from just be killed this way!!! Her daughter is still in intensive care at JPS and her son in law was released this morning. PLEASE pay attention to your surroundings while driving so this doesnt happen to you!!!! thank you and we appreciate anymore information or help you can provide if you were in the area as we deal with this loss and attorneys. thank you

Hey Stacie either way I am Sorry for your loss but I am a local ploice officer and the only info I could get was the drivers (your husbands grandmother)name. I went to school in Poolville and possibly knew some of your family very well. Can you please tell me if there is a Carla, Franklin, and Teressa that are the children. If so I would like to be able to contact Carla or Franklin because they are who I know best. My e-mail is [email protected] Again I am sorry for you loss and GOD bless.

I am very sorry for the loss of someones life in an ACCIDENT...I think that even though this is tragic, I am very sure that it was not intentional in anyway shape or form. If the car was having problems, was is pulled off to the side of the road or in the road? If it was in the road why were people sitting in the vehicle, I can't imagine that it would have been and obviously wasn't safe. Do you know all the circumstances... was the sun in the face of the person driving or where you in the person's shoes while he or she was driving or are you quick to be judgemental and immediately make assumtions on this person and his character. I'm sure that your family is grieving, but if you could take a minute and put yourself in the other person's shoes and feel the pain that he or she may be going through as well, you may not be so quick to place blame only on one person. You have already mentioned an Attorney, is it all about money, often now days that is what is wrong with the world as we know it...IT IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL!! I will pray for your family and also for the other person and their family as they will be going through a emotional time as well. You say get this man justice for taking your family member.....just what are you implying...you are being slanderous with your accusations and without a doubt in your mind you think it couldn't possibly be an accident and that the man is not a respectable person or a husband of someone, or a father, or a person of faith...you are painting such a picture for you and your family $$$$$...

Too many dumbass drivers in this state. Oh, but I forgot...this is the Republic of Texas and everyone has a God-given right to drive like a dumbass and kill people. They'll just say, "Oh it was just a tragic accident." That's the standard law enforcement phrase here in Texas. Until stricter laws are passed to "protect the innocent", then these dumbasses will be out there in droves. It's hell just getting to work & back in one piece.
