Stop dumping unwanted animals in the wild
<![CDATA[To the heartless people who dropped off the black Pomeranian, small black Lab, and Chihuahua on 24 Mile Rd. between H Dr. North and J Dr. North in Albion: They did not come to my house. They were frightened and ran into the woods. I tried to rescue them, but they turned and ran the other way. For days now, I have not seen them. I heard a pack of coyotes howling in the area where the dogs were dumped. Please do not dump animals in the country! That is what shelters are for. Laura Konkle Albion

People have been doing that for years now. I lived on that section of 24 milefor 9 years and it happened a lot. Can you imagine being dumped in a strange place and being scared? Then being hunted down and killed by coyotes? Those poor animals!
