Bennington County developer plans industrial future

Talking about the former Johnson Control site there saying it is the only piece of land zoned for industrial use that is not currently in use, either in part or as a whole. Paige 41, map 3-2 of the proposed 2010 Town plan you can see just how this is not the case. Look at the area behind Carbone's, all that land is zoned industrial. But with most of it being all trees nothing will ever go in there because getting a tree cut down is almost impossible. It's not like we don't have room to grow. I'm all for conservation, but when was the last time anyone was able to pay your bills by going outside and plucking a twig off a tree. We have allot of land that is zoned Rural Conservation, why can't some of that land be opened up. This town must be allowed to grow. And to do that we have to be willing to open up some of that land. We need jobs, trees we have.
