Send a message to Bellows Falls?'They' sell pot in every nook and cranny of this state, the next state, and every state in the country. "They" sell more pot in Brattleboro, Putney, Rutland, Bennington, Burlington without question.

Yes, if you set up surveillance, informants, etc. with a large police force patrolling a one square mile village, you will bust a couple of them. The prosecutor and the cop should have a toke and then tell us what exactly they are trying to prevent.

I don't feel any safer today.

The Deputy State's Attorney hopes it will "discourage the sale of narcotics"?! He's not aware that by no definition is marijuana a narcotic? Narcotics are drugs in the opiate class. This is like jailing a jaywalker and proclaiming you've discouraged terrorism.

I guarantee a drug-related murder in BF by the end of 2010. Going after pot using the above described methods will make all drug dealers more than a bit more scared, and someone will get hurt because of it. These busts are NOT making BF safer. Quite the contrary, actually. Take the penalty away, and you'll end the violence. Ask Chicago's prohibition-era alcohol dealers.

So we just removed %1 of the pot sales in town and about %1/2 of the pharms too! Now can we deal with those pesky crack dealers on Atkinson who have been operating under the cover of 5 guys going from porch to curb like the waves at the beach? Isn’t that a school zone? This is played out in every town in America regardless of economic, social or other factors. It looks nicer in Plano, TX because they drive fancier cars and look better too. Here in BF we have to import our top dealers because they understand the latest product and the cops are afraid of them so they can operate in the open. Us locals are just a bunch of pot heads so when our friend of a friend gets nailed for DWI we get it a few months later. Does everyone feel safe now? Not the cops fault they are doing their job.

The kids see step-daddy get hammered and take a few smacks at mom, they score a 30 pack from their 23 year old cousin get drunk and have unprotected sex or they get a bag of naturally grown weed and eat all the damn oreos….

Hey pot heads,You use any excuse to support the use of pot. What is so special about getting getting into a stupefied state?Cant face reality or what."I KNOW" That's when i do my best work or best thinking/ You cant smoke your way to prosperity, unless ya deal or go for the hard stuff/Most of ya wind up stealing if you get a chance to support ya habit. I know of girls as young as 14 teen trading sex for pot money/ If God had meant ya to smoke you would have been born with a pipe in ya mouth, For the atheist, nature would have made ya lungs with smoke scrubbers attached. If ya don't think pot is additive try going with out it for 2 months with out any change in ya personality. If ya have kids please don't smoke around them , or better yet take the pot money an spend it on them. I know families that feed there kids hot dogs an hamburger only so as to have POT MONEY. THINK ABOUT IT//

TskTsk! BFPD is really scraping the bottom of the barrel, using a confidential informant that has a criminal past. Why would you want to let someone who got caught with small children in their driving drunk off the hook? This makes me sick this girl has such a shady past I hope the rest of these people get themselves a pretty good lawyer and challenge her credibility, she should be in jail not only for driving drunk with these babies in the car, but for moving from place to place because the state check wasnt actually used for the rent but to buy her uppers. I hope the police checked everything to make sure they didnt get ripped off.

Not a lot of CI's turn out to be Senators or Mensa members. What do you expect? Useful informants are folks that are in the know in regards to criminal activity.

The police use what they can get. They are at a disadvantage right from the start. They have constrained by rules that the drug dealers and other scumbags are not.

Nice bust....but there is a long way to go.

How much does an investigation like this cost the citizens of Vermont, most of whom could care less what someone else smokes. What a waste of time.

I realize this guy is not a stellar citizen and has prior convictions for selling drugs, but Geez, this guy got more time that a snapper does!!! I do not condone someone selling prescription drugs, cocaine, meth, but he was busted with less than an ounce and he goes to jail? But the guy who rapes and molests children gets PROBATION OR A SUSPENDED SENTENCE? Well, there you have it, low level drug dealers go to jail and scum that harm children get a nothing sentence like that POS O"Neil. He molested a little girl for over two years, got a suspended sentence, having to only do 9 FREAKING MONTHS and he will be out in three for GOOD BEHAVIOR!!! Sure proves to me that VT does not care about children and BF has been known to be drug central for as many years as I can remember and if they want to rid the town of drugs, they need to go after the big fish, not the little ones, they are getting it from someone who is making a mint and that is who they need to bust. So I am disgusted that this loser got more time than a child molester, sure proves my theory that you can rape and molest all the kids you want in VT, nothing will happen to you, but sell a joint and you will go to jail, when you get out, you will likely be on FSU status and watched like a hawk. You rape a kid, you get probation and within a short amount of time, you rape another kid and maybe, just maybe, you might get 90 days!!

Dont hurt your arm patting yourself on the back...two months of work and he sold a half ounce and is only in jail because he had previous records?

Theres your tax dollars at work good people.

Im sure glad you guys got those hardened criminals off the streets of the village.

Be careful about bagging all these heavy users, munchies sales will be way off next month.
