BF man charged with cultivating pot

Thursday, July 15, 2010 BRATTLEBORO - The husband of a local probation officer is being held on $15,000 bail after pleading not guilty in Windsor District Court, Monday, to cultivating marijuana plants at his Bellows Falls residence.

It appears that she married the same kind of person that she deals with in her profession. Talk about taking the job home with you. People just don't think about the consequences of their behavior.

How is Samantha not in trouble when she knew he was doing it and didnt report it as an officer of the law?! As Wayne Clark said, "Samantha should of known better also,allowing pot to be grown around little children." If this was anyone else those kids would have been taken and Samantha would have been charged as well!

I can't believe that an officer of the law allowed this to go on,(husband or not). She is sworn to uphold the law. What makes her any different that any other criminal? She knew it what going on and should be held accountable. Too many crooked state/government employees who get away with things.

Ha ha, arrest everyone in BF who knows someone who has weed, but looks the other way. The only ones left in BF would be children too young to speak and dead people.

If you took all the children away from parents with weed, where would you put them all?

It does make a difference who you are or who you know, but all in all, the whole thing will be hard on the family anyway.

The children probably are in no immediate danger with the mother. You should be ripped out of your home and put with strangers against your will. Then tell us what it is like to be a child.

I don't know these people at all, by the way.

I dont care if its hard on the family! The law is the law & she knew it was going on & as an officer of the law she should have reported it! If it was anyone else the kids would have been taken & she would have been charged as well!

If it was medical it would have been legal & people that get it through a dr are allowed to grow within the limits they set! Kids dont always go to foster care. They try family first! Because of her job the most likely would let her call family!

Of course there is a reason that she was named. The reformer was trying to ruin her reputation. She is a professional woman and is a very good probation officer. Reformer, why would you ruin someones life by tarnishing their name? This is an awful situation, but she was not the criminal.

Stupid people make stupid laws to make a stupid weed illegal that makes people stupid, unless you are sick and then you can smoke it and be stupid, legally. Okay, back to more important things like eradicating doggy poop! I don't know how this is warrants a news story, isn't it typical? Doesn't it belong, as a couple lines, in the police log?

these kids are SO SAFE and there mother and FARTHER are great people ..PEOPLE MESS UP life goes on !

Sam is a AWESOME mommy and her husband is a WONDERUL dad Its friggen pot OMG not like crack pot is now handed out to everyone for pain and everything . as always the paper wanted to get a few things in there that are not even important

It doesnt matter if they're good parents!! There are many good parents who get charged!! Thats the point!! She knew what was going on and from what I gather officers of the law are supposed to held to a higher standard than the rest of us! Thats why the state police gave one of there troopers the max for him taking a police car while off duty and going over a hundred and not on his way to a call!! Yes everyone makes mistakes and I have made plenty but I was also charged for my mistakes so what the hell makes Sam any different?? Oh thats right her job is protecting her along with the ploice and da!! But thats ok right??!! Well it wasnt ok when I was breaking the law and its not ok that Sam gets away with this and mostly because she knew it was going on!! If she was so worried about her job why didnt she turn him in??!! Sugar coat it all you want but nothings is going to change she knew about it and as an officer of the law she did nothing!!!
