I had a bad experience working here and it's unfortunate because it was my first job right out of college. I'm an African American young woman and I don't want to say the management is racist, but I definitely experienced a culture shock. Based on what I've experienced, Korean women are very hierarchical in regards to age. So, me being 21 doesn't help the situation even though I have more education than most of the employees there. I also know for a fact that I was getting paid less than some of the Korean woman who had the same position as me, no degree, and less experience than me. The kids are awesome though. If you want to work here I suggest having thick skin and focus on your work. My problem is I let the director get under my skin and not stay focussed on the children. I tried to stay as professional as possible, but I can't work in an environment where I'm not met with the same professionalism. Just keep in mind that this daycare is one of the cheapest daycares in Fairfax County so don't expect a lot.
