So wait -- we pay our taxes once to build roads, and now we have to pay a second time to use them?

This is like the Net Neutrality debate all over again, but with car traffic instead of internet traffc.(BTW, there are LOTS of similarities between internet network design, and highway design.)

Without Net Neutrality, we pay our ISPs for a pipe -- and then another site charges us extra to put us in the "fast lane" of the internet .. Otherwise they deliver the data slower than the pipe you bought! This is already happening, especially in the UK.

And now, the same **** is being done to our roads?

Just typical. Time to leave the area. And maybe the country.
