Snowstorm plows through City of Eugene's snow removal budget
#1 Dec 14, 2013
despite the city eugene's evidently pathetic snow removal budget- it is lame that the city grinds to a virtual standstill over 8 inches of snow-. hundreds of thousands of dollars in business are lost when this happens for longer than a day- not to mention the loss of time in children's education- 5 days is too much.
dear city of eugene department of transportation:
if you're not sure how to prepare for snow, perhaps its time you consult with other cities - try contacting places in in the midwest or canada that know what to do when 8 inches of snow falls over night. these places rarely shut down and almost always keep going.
for a start it might be a good idea to buy a few more snow plows.
