And by "here" you mean North America in general, right?

Or is it your contention that Mexicans and Native Americans are the same?

So now if you have a mexican sounding last names you are an illegal immigrant? OH my goodness you are sounding ignorant. His crime is drunk driving, which in case you haven't noticed seems to cross all racial lines. I am so irritated by the perpetuated ignorance here in Bellefontaine. Ignorance breeds ignorance and this place is a cesspool if you judge by what is posted on topix.

Are you not aware of the history of the USA? California, Nevada,New Mexico,Colorado, Utah, Arizona,Oklahoma,Wyoming and Kansas were all part of Mexico way before the white man got there.

Lol...yes. The Spanish settled in that area in the 1590s and the English settled on the east coast (Jamestown) in 1607. So, by "white man", I take it you are referring to the English? You do realize that the early Spanish settlers were Christians also, don't you?

So your claim that the Mexicans were here before the murderous christian whites just doesn't make much sense. The first "Mexicans" were murderous christians, too.

More stupid remarks by you. I think it's safe to say that the Mexicans were in North America first. Your remarks are examples of you attempting to appear intelligent and failing miserably..again!

What makes you think they are illegal?

One of them was a victim and wasn't breaking the law at all.

More off topic information......

If you are talking about the first known people to inhabit what is now known as Mexico, they were actually the Olmecs. The Maya came later, along with Aztecs and several other tribes.

The heritage of today's Mexicans has traditionally been taught that it is a marriage between the Spanish conquerors and the Native Americans who were there before.

"While Mexico has welcomed many other immigrants to its shores, the majority of its population descends from the Spanish, the Indians, or are of mixed Spanish and Indian heritage (mestizos). Blacks and some Asians are also part of the Mexican population." http://genealogy.about.com/od/mexico/a/record...

Here is a good article of how "Mexico" came to be.
http://www.geographia.com/mexico/mexicohistor...

The United States of Mexico was formed in 1821. Before that the region was known as New Spain, and the people of the area were not referred to as "Mexicans" until this time.

So when kama used the term "Mexican" in the post that started this ridiculous argument, he evidently meant the native people of what today we refer to as Mexico....I'm guessing. My bad for not being able to read his mind.

I hope that clears up any confusion here. I apologize if I wasn't more clear in my statements before.

Thanks for the childish and nasty comments though, kama and GBA.
