Shocked

Cincinnati, OH

#1 Nov 25, 2010
I had business in Springfield a few days ago. It has been many years since I was there and at that time it seemed like an ok city. I was driving through the downtown area looking for a certain address and lost my bearings. I drove around aimlessly and was in shock at what I was looking at. I felt like I was Kurt Russell in the movie "Escape to New York..What happened?

The same thing happening throughout the rest of our country - 1/2 of the population is scamming welfare benefits, illegal alien scab labor took all the low wage jobs, destroying the teen & young adult job market, and NAFTA enticed all the good jobs to Mexico.

Simple answer - we ALLOWED it to happen, and still are.

what can the people do about illegal immigration when the goverment, all the way from local to federal, turns a blind eye and refuses to enforce immigration laws?

You must VOTE OUT any politician that is soft on illegal alien immigration.

You must boycott all businesses that employ illegal aliens.

You must write, call and complain to our elected officials, constantly.

You must join a group like ALIPAC or NumbersUSA to keep up on all the sneaky tricks D.C. has up their sleeves.
**********8

You must DEMAND that your voice be heard - illegal aliens are doing all these things AGAINST us.

They can (and DO) vote illegally in our elections - and they vote for the candidate that will pander to their imported culture.

They only patronize Spanish owned businesses.

They join racist open borders groups like La Raza, LULAC, MeCHA & MALDEF.

They constantly pester our elected officials for favors, amnesty, and special treatment - that Americans cannot and do not demand.

They protest on STREETS THAT WE PAID FOR, waving Mexcan flags and demanding their "rights".

If you care about the country that your kids and grandkids will inherit, then you MUST get involved.

Now take a look at this link and think hard about what you can do before one of your family members is killed by DBI (Death By Illegal): http://ojjpac.org/memorial.asp

I just looked again at the Memorial to Americans killed by illegal aliens (see the link in my previous post) and I see how many more names have been added since I last looked at it.

If that doesn't create the desire in you to fight tooth and nail against illegal alien immigration, nothing will.

Here is the link to ALIPAC (Americans for LEGAL Immigration), hope you check it out.

lmao @ this being all blamed upon minorities...when springfield and this area are predominately white. So typical of bigoted idiots to blame all of their problems on anyone with color.

Your view of our country is obviously extremely limited.

Guess what? Illegal aliens ARE mostly minorities.

FACTS are not "bigoted". Hilarious.

The answer is simple. Springfield was a hub of manufaturing and most of the population moved here from other areas seeking work in the manufacturing industry. Now manufacturing has dried up (both in the area and US as a whole) and there is no viable industry to replace it. Outside of law enforcement and health care, both which have also been affected by the economy, the are no viable careers in Springfield and Clark County outside of minimum-wage employment.

Born there in June, 1957.
Will always remember Jim's sandwich shop--the 'olive & nut.'
Wouldn't want to see the neighborhood where my dad's company was as it was on the outskirts of downtown.
Seems best to keep it this way, my memories of Jim & his awesome sandwiches.
I suppose the only place I'd go back to see would be the little white house on Sciota Street. I've many pictures in mint condition of those times. Good thing because the house is probably gone.
Everything changes, even Springfield.
