Review: Pet Paws

So let's see if I got this story straight.

*Dog is injured.

*Owner is not told until dog is picked up.
*
Owner is told if dog needs medical care pet paws will pay.

*Owner believes dog does need care, when wound worsens.

*Owner takes dog to own vet

*Owner calls and asks if she can bring receipt by.
Pet Paws employee says, "Yes bring in your Vet receipt".

*Owner brings in receipt.

*Pet Paws says, "Sorry can't do anything with it till store owner gets back."

*Owner gets upset.

*Pet paws owner calls dog owner and says that they will not pay for medical care because they used the wrong vet. Even though pet paws employee seemed to give the okay to bringing the receipt in.

*Owner gets mad because it seems like they are not following through.

Now reality check. Seriously this pet shop owner is not going to pay because the dog was taken to a different vet? And even moreso, the owner was told by one of the employees to just bring her receipt by...so this completely shocked her when she shows up at Pet Paws to be reimbursed. Is it any wonder this woman got so mad? Wouldn't you? A maltese is a tiny dog. Saying that a nick was only the size of a pea or a button would proportionally, be like a human getting a nick the size of a saucer. What are they trying to do here? Avoid any and all responsibility it seems like. It seems to me like Pet Paws is trying to find reasons to wiggle out of this vet bill. First it's, "They took the dog to the wrong vet", then it's, "The owner's got so mad that I decided I wasn't going to pay it." What it seems like to me is that no matter how it would have happened this pet place had no intention of ever paying.

And that is pretty appalling.

The latest is that one of the clients there brought in their Pomeranian with explicit instructions that she was an intact female and not to be around any males. Well the dog ended up getting pregnant during her stay there, supposedly by the Pet Paw's owner's own dog! And not only that, but she is refusing to pay the vet bill for the pregnancy and puppies!
