I like Coast to Coast AM on talk radio. Some of those old graveyards were located near where the Indians buried their dead. And they chose their burial sites very carefully for the best access to the spirit world, I suppose. Places where it's easier for the Spirit to slip through to the other side? A place of spirits. The ancients! You don't know what might be flapping around out there. You wouldn't get me out there at night.
Hi Dogman,
I decided to come over here in the Ghost and Parnormal forum where things are more sane and make more sense. Not too many takers on this forum though. I might have to resort to farmville on facebook.

I didn't see the program, but I have heard that before. In addition, some claim George Washington had some prophetic dreams.
We have also heard that imformation about George Washington.

Thank you for your response. I do appreciate it. There are some articles on the internet about it and yet other articles/blogs claim it is false.

Several years ago at the complex where we were living here in town, I was doing an early laundry in the laundry room in our section. It was early, 4am or so and I was standing looking out the window at the pool area. I heard the door which led to the hallway open. I turned to say good morning but all I saw was the door swinging shut.

At first I felt a bit concerned because I thought perhaps a woman had come to do her laundry and seeing a man standing there so early might have spooked her. I started to the door to see if this feeling might have been true and as I did, off to my left leading down the small hallway to where the tenants storage area was, I saw a pair of legs from the knee down and wearing a pair of low cut tennis shoes. It was plainly the legs of a female and by the size and shape of them, a young woman.

This shocked me at first and thinking what logical explanation could be found, maybe I was seeing a portion of the woman through the hinge side of the door as she had left after seeing me...but that would only have been a sliver of her and here before me was a full flesh and blood person from the knees down. It was very clear and I realized I wasnt hallucinating for some reason or mistaking some lighting aberration or other trick of my eyes.

Anyway I watched as she went down the hall and since our building is round, the curvature quickly took her from my sight. I hurried to see more and by the time I had gone several steps and could see the end of the storage area, she had disappeared.

I know what I saw.

Finally a few days later I was asking around trying to figure this out and the security officer told me that a young girl had drowned in the pool years ago. Now....whether that was true or not, I have no idea...but once again, I saw what I saw.

Check out the work of Dr. Gary Schwartz. He is a Cornell undergrad, got his PhD from Harvard and teaches at the U of Arizona. His work with cutting edge devices that can record a single photon, prove, conclusively in my opinion, that spirit exists.
Of course, the James Randis of the world will NEVER admit that his or any other researcher's results have any merit, regardless of the controls used or type of experiments done.
Rupert Sheldrake and Dean Radin are two other brilliant scientists whose work on ESP, and other "psi" topics have expanded the range of knowledge considerably.
On a personal note, I took four teenagers to the a local theater one night. We were allowed rare overnight access and were locked in the building. I came a skeptic and remained so until two months later when I finally got around to reviewing the "evidence". I have almost 30 recordings of sounds that are clearly human speech, many that seem to be direct answers to our inquiries. There are voices in French and German. There are at least two males and a female and one little boy's voice. I do not present this as "proof" that either spirits or even another dimension exists. There is no way anyone here can determine if what I am saying is true or if the recordings do exists, that they aren't faked somehow. I can only say that for me personally, there is SOMETHING out there. There IS another dimension in which some type of energy exists that is able to make its presence known in our reality.

I wouldn't be so bold as to say it was an impossibility. But I will say this. Until I see something with my own eyes I will not believe in
psychics. Even then one has to be skeptical. I've seen some magic that I thought impossible. Yet we know that they are faked and not real.

Nothing is impossible. We all know that! Ghosts are a bit different than psychics actually!

Back in the mid 1980's, we moved into another old house, built 1927. The house had 3 levels, basement, 1st floor, and an upstairs. beautiful woodwork in the home. We bought the home from an older couple that had 3 children in their lifetime. Their oldest son had committed suicide in the home when he was 14.......One evening I was sitting in a rocker in the living room. I was the only one in the house. I was reading a book. I suddenly heard a ball bounce upstairs. I stopped reading and listened for 10 minutes. Finally I went upstairs to investigate the sound of the ball bouncing. .....Nothing and no ball on the floor.

One of the first true ghost hunters was a man from Europe that moved to the United States. His name was Hanz Holzer, who died a few years back. Back in the 50's 60's and 70's, Holzer used mediums, mostly a few elderly women, to help him investigate locations. The mediums would go into trance, and then spirit would communicate thru the medium. very unusual I must say, as this was before the use of technology referred to as EVP or Electronic Voice Phenomena. Reading up on this, the spirit speaking thru the medium is very much like what one would get as a response using EVP, with broken words, sentences and repeating words and or sentences. When Holzer investiagted a location with a medium, he used a reel to reel recorder to record his question's and the spirit response coming thru the medium. Holzer would also take pictures and many times would get an anomoly and or huge brilliant orb, an orb being spirit in it's simplist form (like a star, planet, moon, or rain drop).

One of the elderly women that Hanz Holzer worked with the most was Sybil Leek from England. He also work with Ethel Myers, also a medium.

There was a woman that used to cut hair where I go to get my hair cut. She lives near Battlefield, Missouri. The Old Wire Road goes right by her house. Everyone in her house has seen from time to time a Union soldier walk thru the house, never looking at anyone, and walks right thru the wall......risidual energy, an imprint of a tremendous event, a replay of drama.

I live near old wire and my grandmother reported seeing a soldier walk down her hallway to her bedroom door, look to the left and disappear. She said she saw him on numerous occasions. I now live in her house and we often hear a door open that hasn't and other odd events. Last week my husband was in our baby's room holding her hand until she feel asleep, he said he heard me enter the room and turn on the nightlight...when he got up I wasn't there but the light was on and his side of the covers were turned down ...when he thanked me I told him it wasn't me, I had been with our toddler in his bed and had not gotten up until just then. On another occasion I was alone and heard someone in the hallway area, I called my husband and let our Mastif in the house, the dog stood between me and the area I heard the noise until my husband came home. All doors were locked and no one was in the house. Our toddler will not allow his door to be open at night (he has my grandmas old room) and says often he is scared, the other night he looked over my shoulder and said "no, you go. Go!" When I asked him if he wanted me to go he said "mommy stay, he go!"
There is nothing proven here, just little things that make you wonder. I prefer to think we are just silly and grandma's ghost stories have made us jumpy over nothing...or else we have to move! ;)
