Out in Richland Missouri there is a very haunted grave yard. It is called Wilson's Cemetery. The headstones are very old from the 1700s and mostly 1800s marked mostly with the names of the Wilson family.
Years ago I belonged to an small paranormal investigation team whose goal was mostly seeking cheap thrills. We went to the cemetery on numerous occasions and have many experiences.
Oftentimes we would hear footsteps around the place with no body attached accompanied by the rotten stench of sulfur and death. Weird green eyes would peek from behind trees and illuminated by a spotlight they would disappear.
Many evp's or electronic voice phenomena were left on digital recorders such as a womens voice saying leave in peace and some much more sinister growls.Once we even had an evp which sounded like an old war time radio segment.
Upon leaving one time something had a hold of the door of my GMC Jimmy and rendered it un shuttable until 50 yards down the road.It had broken the door latch! On down the road a purple fog had followed us to the bottom of a hollow and floated in the air ongolating. Nonetheless I have experienced some really freaky stuff there.
I have not been back for years out of the respect of the dead and hope they are now resting in peace. Over the years other groups had been out there and knocked over headstones and there were signs of some sort of witching or devil worshiping because of piles of ashes around the grave yard. I don't know the condition of place but I hope that repairs have been made and I hope whatever is out there has found peace.

I like Coast to Coast AM on talk radio. Some of those old graveyards were located near where the Indians buried their dead. And they chose their burial sites very carefully for the best access to the spirit world, I suppose. Places where it's easier for the Spirit to slip through to the other side? A place of spirits. The ancients! You don't know what might be flapping around out there. You wouldn't get me out there at night.

It is true that the Native Americans did choose the burial spots for their dead very carefully. Some say that they may be natural portals to the beyond. In the Ozarks, and along streams, Native graves can be found on the hill tops over looking the beautiful valleys below. They will be rock mounds, not big, but smaller. We are not afraid at night to investigate the paranoramal. We have discovered that there is nothing to fear, although we must admit, that in the beginning, we certainly had our eyebrows up! So, we met our first enemy, fear, and thru it to the side.

Investigating a graveyard at nite can be alarming. Not because of the dead, but because of the living. If you drive into a graveyard at night and see a vehicle or vehicles, it is best to leave. It could be ghost hunters. But it could be devi worshippers. If they are Satanic worshippers, they may find a way to get you to leave..........Anyone have any good ghost stories to share, pertaining to a home or business where one has lived or worked during one's lifetime? I have a few that I will share when I get the chance.

I can honestly state that I have never had a paranormal experience. Having said that I wouldn't rule it out completely. I once saw a crime program where two psychics separated came to the same "vision" which led to a solution to the crime. They had never previously met. Hard to explain that.

Hi, all. Just thought I would stop by this group and see what's shakin'. They also could be grave robbers and it's not wise to disturb the dead. I can't understand how people can do that type of thing, meaning digging up remains. Really crazy.

Just out of curiosity, has there ever been a documented ghost sighting that was proven valid through scientific testing? I am unaware of any, personally.

Between 1979 and 1981, we lived in a big house on Grant St, in the old part of Springfield. It was once heated by coal. It had a huge wrap around porch. It had a basement, 1st floor, 2nd floor, third floor, and an attick...Sometimes when I would go into the basement, I would have a very strong feeling that someone was watching me. I remember a few times that I turned around to see who was there and nobody was there....Then there was the tv set coming on by itself during the night once in a great while....One time I had the stereo on listening to a rock station. After about 10 minutes the radio went off. At 1st I thought that it was the station just going off the air for a bit. Finally I looked up and noticed that the power to the radio was off. I stood in front of the radio. The power chord was plugged into the electrical socket. I pushed the power button and the stero came on. Who pushed the power button off?

The people out there that are researching the paranormal are the ones who are proving the existence of intelliget spirit energy. Existence continues after we lose our physical body. These discoveries have been made by the use of advanced tools and ancient tools. If you ever go to a historical location, and or Civil War battlefield, take pictures. Put the pics on your computer and blow them up a little, and look around for any anomolies that look like they do not belong in the pic

Photogaphs are often photo shopped and can't be relied on. I'm still dubious. I would want this scientifically authenticated.

Richard,

I honestly don't know what a paranormal experience is, so I am unclear that if I have had one. I have seen a ghost/spirit though. And, I know tons of others who have claimed to see a ghost/spirit. This doesn't seem especially paranormal to me. I believe that the spirit/soul of others live on and that occasionally visit. I know this may sound crazy to you, but I think it's sort of like most other areas of life.

For example some people excel in math, others in science, and others in reading. Some people have gifts in more than one area. Some people are extremely talented in music, some are excellent athletes, etc etc. Some people have gifts perhaps to see things such as ghosts, visions, etc. Though there is no "scientific" proof, there is considerable documentation that such gifts exist.

What is scientific proof? Jane Doe sees a vision. Later the vision comes true. Is that scientific proof if the vision is documented when it occurs and of course prior to the event. There are tons of those type of documented "psychic" "prophetic" experiences. Even the Bible speaks of seers.

If a study is done by let's say a medical team, and evidence of improvement for some medical condition when a certain medication is applied is documented, it becomes scientific proof (such as the polio vaccine prevents polio. In reality there is little difference in the documented proof other than perhaps more subjects are used in the study.

However, the legal system does not accept paranormal/psychic information in court, though some law enforcement agencies consult psychics when all other avenues have been exhausted. There are "documented" cases in which psychics have assisted in legal cases. They just don't go to court.

The researchers and ghost hunters out there investigating are the scientists. With pictures, one will not find paranormal in every pic at all. Sometimes, an 'orb' will appear in a pic. Spirit energy, in it's simplist form, will appear as a 'sphere.' orbs, sometimes will appear to contain a visual. Example, we researched the Praire Grove Battlefield near Fayettville, Aarkansas last spring. In one of the pics was an orb. Blowing up the pic a little bit, we noticed that there was the face of a man, and he was looking directly at us....watching us. To get a really good 'ghost pic' is rare. The best ghost pic that I ever took was at the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas back in 2008. When I took the pic, this person that appeared in the pic was not present when I took the pic. It was a little boy perhaps 5-7 years old. He was wearing victorian clothing, the ruffles of lace around the collar, shoulders, and sleeves of his shirt......I took the Ghost Tour at the Crescent Hotel in 2007. There were over 100 people that showed up for the tour. We had to be split up into 2 groups because of the large number of folks that showed up for the tour. If you ever get the chance, take the tour at the Crescent. Quite imformative about the ghosts that remain there....With that said, energy, contained in it's simplist form, will be contained as a sphere, such as a rain drop, a planet, moon, or stars, and spirit energy.

We know for a fact that there are some law enforcement officers, even detectives who are ghost hunters. I have met online a female detective in Louisiana who is a ghost hunter, and she works for the sherrif department. There are 4 cops in Chicago who are ghost hunters. We have actually seen a few documented shows on tv with these 4 cops. Our society is slowly changing as more people in our society are learning about the paranormal, alot from taking a ghost tour at a historical location. We feel that paranormal evidence may at some point in time, be admitted in court. EVP could eventually be used in court, with inhanced audio, where the whole court room would be able to 'hear' the spirit responses to questions asked (with the addition of a witness or witness to the EVP recordings). It will eventually happen. Too early for that now, as a lot of our society is ignorant about this scientific phenomena. Skeptisism, due to lack of knowledge and / or experience, is the road block at this time.

So what is going on at the Pythian Castle, then? Is the occurrence of orbs there scientific? Or a ploy to bring income into the establishment?

There have been actual deaths at the Pythian Castle. The orbs there are real spirit orbs and not a ploy to bring in revenue. The place is rather impressive. You can take the historical tour and it is not very expensive. You will see alot. And, you can take pics.

If any of you all saw "Killing Lincoln" tonight on National Geographic, it made mention several times of Lincoln having this dream of going down to the parlor where his own body was laid out. I believe he had several such dreams. Just a FYI.

I didn't see the program, but I have heard that before. In addition, some claim George Washington had some prophetic dreams.

Richard, the White House has a huanting of President Lincoln. Several have seen him in the building. Harry Truman kept hearing someone walking back and forth in the hallway outside of the Oval Office. Then the footseps stopped and 'whoever' knocked on the door. Harry Truman did not get up but he did wonder if it was Lincoln.
