Bumping this thread back into action. The other two similar threads are bogged down with nonsense at the current time.

If anyone knows anything it would be refreshing to see something newsworthy.

I understand that this case is more than 21 years old. Are there any leads on this case? Are there any suspects? It would be refreshing to hear something newsworthy about this case.

There really have not been. You're right. This happened back in 1992. I am interested though in knowing how the three were whisked away in the middle of the night and just vanished with no trace...no signs of struggle and without any clue at all. I would say though that the three women's purses being left behind the way they were is a sure sign that foul play took place.

I think I know who did this. I had a guy confess to me while I was in jail in texas. I never paid much attention to what he had to say cause, what did I care he was a convict to me. I was just a colege kid broke as hell sitting out his traffic tickets on the weekends. This guy seemed serious though, was really detailed in his story as to what happend and why this happend to these women. This was 11 yrs ago, I was 19 at the time. The craziest thing is, he even said where he and his other 2 partners barried em at. Never gave it much thought, but I saw him in the news 3 months ago for murdering a guy and his wife and it turns out it was a contrct killing. I totally freaked. A couple of months have passed and I remembered the story he told me so I looked up 3 missing females from springfield missouri in 1992 and I was totaly shocked to find this mans story was totaly true.!!!! I have not slept right since.......... I live in dallas texas and

I know some will think this is silly but I was reading the missing persons descriptions about the missing women.and on Sherrill Levitz's it read she was wearing a floral print dress.

The missing persons report doesn't say she was "last seen" wearing the dress it says she was wearing it.

I mean who would know what she was wearing when she disappeared.

i have been having dreams about these three women for at least 5 years now and i have no idea why. i wont say any details except it always starts with a newspaper clipping of a picture of the three women when they went missing.
i did not know them at all. i remember hearing it on the news a few times.i am 3 yeARS OLDER THAN THE GIRLS and now i hVE LOOKED IT UP SEVERAL TIMES JUST BECAUSE i thought maybe something in my dreams would be fimaliar but its not. the one thing i will say about the dreams is that it always ends with a usa flag flying on a flag pole and the flag pole is in concrete. dont call me a nut because ive never claimed to be able to read the future or past and have only told a couple of people this. it scares me when i dream it kinda because i have no reason to dream this. there is a lot more in the dream and it changes up a littlebut the news paper clipping and the flag pole is always there. idf i ever felt like it was true or ever find something in the on the net or news that matches i will make an anymous phone call and tell police incase its a tip.it is me that sees the paper clipping but the rest of the dream it isnt me who is seeing the other stuff like the flag pole. but it is just a reacuring dream im sure.
Sorry you are haunted by this. The flag should represent freedom but really freedom is simply just another false illusion.

I remember a "Back40" . I was invited out there quite a few times . Glad I never went now . Indian Summer was known for playing that field.. Girls heading out there on graduation night wouldn't have to be a "taken to situation" they'd probably just follow someone .

Interesting, mostly this part stands out
"and tape girls for evidence against buyers"
Blackmail?

Interesting how the FBI was most concerned with talking to those that may of UNWILLINGLY been involved in an unplanned abduction and felt the had knowledge of things they didnt feel good about, and the cops treated these people as suspects and pushed for indictments. What if the knowledge these people had (that they didnt feel good about) had little too do with the abduction and a lot to do with the real motive behind it and those really behind it? This knowledge would not only be highly disturbing but also leave those with it the feeling they had no one in any postion of authority to trust. They would know EXACTLY why the FBI wanted to talk to them but not feel they could trust any law enforcement agency not even the highest agency. Definently NOT the highest agency.
But they want someone to know the truth.
So what do they do?

There has to be a real fear about being charged, at the very least, as an accessory. I just don't see this person stepping forward with this information unless there is the promise of complete immunity.

And thats why I believe LE missed the chance to solve this case years ago. Although Im not sure the prime players could confess even if they wanted too. I have a feeling they just dont remember and that just may be the honest to God truth.

I heard that the bodies were in a well in or near Grove Springs. Someone was suppose to have made a death bed confession. I also heard the spfd police were notified about this. Haven't heard anything else about it.
I am from the area and always suspected Larry Mace was involved in it. I remember the puke green Dodge van sitting at his dads house right beside 5 highway next to the Laclede county line. And back then Larry was running a strip bar in Springfield..
