The truth is that the Ryan plan saves Medicare from going bankrupt in a handful of years, which it will certainly do if we maintain the current course.

It didn't help that Obama cut Medicare by the better part of a trillion dollars to pay for Obamacare.

The truth is that Ryan's plan will not affect anyone over 55 or already on Medicare.

The truth is that we must make changes immediately in our vast entitlement programs or they will consume 100% of all federal revenues within just a dozen years.

The truth is that Obama's plan of raising taxes, raising spending, increasing the annual deficit, and increasing the national debt has brought this country to its knees, and his intention to continue down the same course will surely bankrupt our nation.

It is imperative that we elect conservatives that will take hold of our excessive government spending and stifling of the economy. The very existence of our country hangs in the balance.

It's Obama who has raised taxes on everyone. Maybe you should research Obamacare. He stole $500 billion from seniors to help pay its enormous costs, and it's filled with taxes on everything medically related. Of course that only drives up medical costs for everyone. People are already seeing their insurance premiums spike. More will come in the future, particularly in 2014 when Obamacare is fully implemented.

The poor have a negative tax liability. If they have kids, they receive more back than they pay in. That depends on whether you want to have a fair tax system where everyone pays their fair share, of if you want to continue the grossly unfair system we have where the top 25% pay 88% of the income tax while the bottom 50% pay nothing.

Until we get to the point where every citizen of this country pays the same dollar amount to support the federal government, we won't have a fair taxing system.

We each don't pay differing amounts for a gallon of milk based on our incomes because that would be grossly unfair. The same idea is true of government services. We all receive the same and we should all pay the same price for it.

The fairest way of all is the method set forth in the Constitution prior to the ratification of the 16th Amendment. The cost of federal government was apportioned to the states based on population. Then each state decided how to pay its share. We didn't have the awesome power of the federal government directly taxing the people. We didn't have a welfare state then either.
