Are there any fast food employees in Springfield and the surrounding area who are being forced to work off the clock?

OFMg! Now I understand what was going on at the McDonalds on Glenstoned last night. Went thru the drive thru lane and noticed a man with a managers name tag holding a sawed-off shotgun back in the prep area. I called nine-eleven but they told me it was ok and normal in Springfield for all fast food stores. Seems like a good employee retention program to me.
If you don't like your job, the hours or the working conditions, go get another one. Don't give me the BS that there aren't any out there.

That's TOO funny. I know a couple of young people that work at the MacDonald's in Branson. All I can say is they are never happy with everything, but they continue to stay. That could be changing though, new owners bought several in the area. These days it is about having the least amount of employees possible, part-time status for as many as possible, and honestly, that probably won't change for a few years. Yes, there are plenty of jobs out there at least with the equivalent pay to MacDonald's. Working off the clock is not legal. Employers cannot force an employee to do that. I suggest if managers are doing that, that the employee tell him/her "I am not working off the clock, it's against company policy" and if for some reason they are still compelled to do this, they should report it to the available hotline number that should be posted in their store.

Your really going to knock on a McDonald's pay. My wife's works at one in the area has done for 2 years makes 13 dollars an hour. The owners take real good care of there managers. Also as an FYI a lot of people in management at walmart have college degrees. So before you knock the place find out the truth
