Does anyone really believe that the police report is not a complete crock made up out of whole cloth with the details contrived precisely in the fashion needed to justify charging Laughran but not McHugh?
If two people "take it outside" and get in a bar fight, they should both be arrested. But not if one of them is a cop, because then the cops will just write up whatever absurd lie they need to in order to make sure the cop isn't charged.
McHugh "was not in a fighting stance". Yeah, right.
Cops are liars and thugs and instigators. McHugh got a brain injury when he got his ass kicked after instigating a bar fight and then got stabbed in another off duty incident. So has he been promoted yet? Well maybe he'll go out and cause trouble after celebrating all the good dead cops today.

Article Quote "Wynn said police have not had an opportunity to interview McHugh about the incident. Wynn acknowledged that because police are investigating an assault involving a fellow officer, there may be an extra "intensity" to the probe.
"He's one of us, so of course that [intensity] is going to matter," Wynn said. "It is a fairly significant assault and battery at one of our local establishments, and we take all of those very seriously. But we try not to play favorites." Quote
So because the supposed "victim" is a cop they are going to look into it more intensely than if it was anyone else? Well good for you Chief Wynn! Its one thing to do it, Its another to publicly state that your going to do it. It shouldnt matter that he's a cop a person is a person is a person is a person! He shoulsd get the same investigation tactics and treatment I or anyone else would get .
NOT special treatment. It sounds to me like you are playing favorites.
Besides what the heck is there to investigate anyways?
Your officer went to the bar and got drunk
He made a "funny" remark which was probably more sarcastic than funny
Your Officer AGREED to a fight.
He WILLINGLY stepped outside.
He got thew crap kicked out of him for it.
End of investigation.
By the way the officer isn't this "innocent victim" that your trying to portray him as. If he was trying to defuse the situation he wouldnt of went outside with him. And if he's not on duty why is he subduing this guy? was he making an arrest? sounds to me like he was fighting with him.
and thugs. I have no doubts MicHELL Wynn's investigations consist of burying any incriminating evidence of any criminal behavior by any criminal cop. Yes MicHELL Wynn thug McHugh is without any doubt one of you.

The public can only pray for the quick and speedy recovery of Pittsfield Police Officer Michael J. McHugh. Nobody wishes any physical harm or mayhem to any of our fellow citizens, especially when both parties have been heavily drinking!
While our citizens enjoy the right to patronise any local establishment they choose, one should be cognizent of the phenomenal reactions that may result from interactions with strangers! Like mom taguth us at a very early stage in life: never talk to strangers! This incident is a case in point.
Although the off-duty police officer should never have taken the fight outside, the fact it happend should be a testament to the very vulnerablitiy of heavy drinking and the impairment of one's reasonabeness to settle disputes in a civilised fahsion. Still, we pray the officer fully recovers and returns to the job!
The public also looks to Pittsfiled Police Chief Michael J. Wynn for a comprehensive and by-the-book investigation of what actually happened. We, as citizens of this community, expect a even-handed investigation. Chief Wynn, to his credit, does have an inpressive track record of stepping out from behind the blue wall and tackling any signs of police corruption. He's a graduate of Williams College; our citizens expect nothing less than an ivy league approach to this tragedy!
He must do better than the "[b]ut we try not to play favorites" attitude. This incident demands th highest standard of internal examination. Why did this officer sidestep his many years of street expeience and training to fight somebody (instead of walking away) in the parking lot? If he was losing control of the situation, why didn't he call his confederates in for backup? Huhh, interesting!
At the end of day, chief Wynn, don't "try not to play favorites," don't play favorites.
Good luck, chief!

McHugh "was not in a fighting stance". Yeah, right.
Someone should study the deviant brains of deviant cops as it relates to their willful premeditated violent tendencies and their intentional inability to tell the truth, even under oath.

First the off-duty drunken thug instigated a barroom fight, and got his ass kicked and not surprisingly, received a brain injury at the same time. And then, in a separate incident, while off duty, again, the thug got himself stabbed. And of course, he didn't do any wrong. It was other guys. It was all them. After all McHugh is one of Pittsfield's finest. And I'm sure MicHELL Wynn will swear to it, even under oath.

Where exactly is the evidence of MicHELL Wynn's impressive track record of tackling any signs of police corruption? Does MicHELL Wynn have it hidden somewhere? Will it take a court order to compel him to produce it? Or is this just more fabrication by the PPD?

Detective Peter McGuire was a CREEP! And Even blowing his creepy brains out to avoid criminal prosecution for sex crimes didn't cure that. And he's not the only creep in the PPD.
