Good thing she has the gubermint around to handle all her expenses and raising of her children.

It leaves more time for her to comment while the rest of us are at work.

Hi Civil,
I haven't heard as much about Obama's history in helping people as I have Romney's, so lets just say that I'm not convinced that Obama can come close to Romney in the good things he has done for people.
Obama has proven he is very capable of dividing people and creating more angst and anger, but beyond that, I haven't seen anything good come out of him. What I have seen from Obama is example upon example of him throwing anyone under the bus that prevents him from doing what he wants to do. Here is a great example of what he thinks of the men and women that risked their lives to finally take OBL out of commission: http://www.youtube.com/v/X-Xfti7qtT0...
I feel this video speak volumes about Obama and the kind of person he really is. What has Obama done over the last 4 years that would justify people overlooking something like that?
He forced mandatory HEALTH INSURANCE onto people whether they want it or not, under the guise of equal HEALTH CARE for all. HEALTH INSURANCE DOESN'T EQUAL HEALTH CARE because they are two different things. We have all had access to HEALTH CARE for many many years, but Obama needed to feed something to the illegals and others that put him in office, and giving them something for free does that pretty well. It isn't any different than briding people for votes.
He provided a method for ILLEGALS to obtain work permits at a time when LEGAL Americans are having difficulty finding work. This was a direct slap in the face for anyone that has gone through the process to come here "the right way", and just makes the task of finding work worse for LEGAL citizens and LEGAL immigrants. It also sends a very strong message to others that want to come here and the fact that our immigration laws mean little to us.
He did NOTHING about helping the 47% find jobs because he allowed his administration to pour thousands of new pages of regulations onto businesses and created an environment that causes businesses to delay the hiring of available workers. He did provide the 47% with free everything, and most of us know that many of those people don't want free stuff from government, they want a job and to be able to stand on their own two feet again.
Romney has proven that he can assess a business or company for problems and fix the problems or let it go. THAT is what it will take to fix our problems...recognizing the issues and then actually making the decisions to fix it or let it go, and replace it with something else.
We could discuss these difference at length, but I would suspect you have already made up your mind as well. Romney was just stating the obvious in a group that was supposed to be in agreement and understood the correct context for his statements.
My religious beliefs and spirituality have little to do with politics...remember, we are supposed to have a separation of church and state? I relaize that religion has only become a topic because Romney is a Mormon, but I really couldn't care less what his religion is, it isn't relevant.

Let's be honest here. We don't care what Obama does that's good. We're more interested in tearing him down. Just like the good Republicans we are.
I don't know how many times I've had to remind someone they now have health care even when they lose their job. Oh yeah, it's no good because Obama did something we Republicans were too stupid to do. Let's spend it on the military, not our own folks.
Mary,

Let's be honest...us real Americans have to point out the things the mass media refuses to point out, so people understand that the great messiah is a sham. I guess you've conveniently forgotten that Bush was attacked and criticized for all of the ills of the world for the last two years he was in office, and oh yeah, for the last 4 years by Obama and friends. You're really going to go there? I mean really? The entire Democratic Convention was more of the same whining and crying about Bush and he's been out of the picture for 4 years...I mean give it a rest, and they are seriously trying to make Romney out to be like Bush...you're kidding right?

If you've been reminding someone they have health care even after they lose their job, you're an idiot because they have always had health care. We all have access to HEALTH CARE and have had access for a very long time. You should be telling them that they will be paying for someone else's HEALTH INSURANCE when they go and get another job, and I'm certain that will make them very happy to know that they are providing it free for someone else, even though they have to pay for their own. That will be another great incentive to get back to work, won't it??

Obama is the professional at bringing about division and he likes it this way, so don't blame Republicans for being against him.

Obama said he wouldn't tax the Middle Class...

Nearly 6 million Americans -- most of them in the middle class -- will face a tax penalty for not carrying medical coverage once President Barack Obama's health care overhaul law is fully in place, congressional budget analysts said Wednesday.

The new estimate amounts to an inconvenient fact for the administration, a reminder of what critics see as broken promises.

The numbers from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office are significantly higher than a previous projection by the same office in 2010, shortly after the law passed.

The earlier estimate found 4 million people would be affected. The difference -- 2 million people-- represents a 50 percent increase.

That's still only a sliver of the population, given that more than 150 million people currently are covered by employer plans. Nonetheless, in his first campaign for the White House, Obama pledged not to raise taxes on individuals making less than $200,000 a year and couples making less than $250,000.

And the budget office analysis found that nearly 80 percent of those who'll face the penalty would be making up to or less than five times the federal poverty level. Currently that would work out to $55,850 or less for an individual and $115,250 or less for a family of four.

Average penalty: about $1,200 in 2016.

You obviously need to revisit history instead of depending on your parties re-write.
Defense was responsible for less than one-third of the $610 billion increase in spending from 2001 through 2005. Rather than contain new spending to vital national security priorities, lawmakers increased spending on education by 100 percent, international affairs by 94 percent, housing and commerce by 86 percent, community development by 71 percent, health research and regulation by 61 percent, and veteransí benefits by 51 percent, just to name a few. Perhaps most egregiously, the number of annual pork projects jumped from 6,333 in 2001 to 13,999 in 2005.
http://www.heritage.org/Research/Budget/wm887...
While Democrats criticized the Republican Congress's runaway spending and budget deficits, they used their majority to increase spending even faster. The spending binge began in early 2007 when the new Democratic majority in both the House and Senate effectively told Bush that they would not pass legislation funding our troops while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan until he agreed to their additional $17 billion in unrelated spending. After months of delay, Bush, recognizing the need to secure funds for our troops who were in harms way, agreed to their "strong-arming" spending demands in his effort to support our troops and their mission to kill terrorist that were responsible for taking down our twin towers on 9/11.
Maggin that! Dummycrats using our troops while they were fighting and risking their lives as political pawns: Have you ever heard Party before Country?
Lemme guess. You're on Section 8 housing you'll lose once Romney cuts aid. We truly are the party of the Stupid. Oh how proud I am to be a Republican!

American Airlines DOES SUCK! I took a flight to/from Miami and the service and comfort were horrible. VERY rude employees, etc. Everybody that flew with us said they'd never use them again. I won't. Jet Blue provides excellent customer service, reliability and comfort. That's why they're doing so well. I use them every chance I get. I guess Retiree thinks AA should just keep the people working regardless of the bottom line. Or maybe he thinks the government should take it over and operate it at a loss but keep those people working. That's the socialist way after all.

Just to clarify for the people on here about what happens to your health insurance when you lose your job here in Mass and what will happen under Obamacare. You can keep your health insurance but it sure isn't going to be free.

The Federal Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) allows retiring employees, or those who lose coverage due to quitting a job or reduced work hours, to continue group coverage for a limited period of time. This also applies to their dependents who lose coverage because of divorce or legal separation; death of the covered employee; the covered employee qualifying for Medicare; or a loss of dependent status under the health planís provisions. COBRA applies only to employers with 20 or more employees.

If you qualify for COBRA benefits, your health-plan administrator must give you a notice stating your right to choose to continue benefits provided by the plan. You then have 60 days to accept coverage or lose all rights to the benefits. Once you select COBRA coverage, you may have to pay 100 percent of the total insurance cost, plus a two percent processing fee.

Notice where it talks about the ex-employee PAYING 100%+ of the total insurance cost. That's when most people will realize just how much their employers were contributing and they can't afford to keep using that insurance. But we must have health insurance here or we're fined (or as the Supreme Court says "taxed"). So, people generally can't afford Cobra so that's when they turn to the "free" stuff like Mass Health. But if you're getting unemployment income, they'll be sure to take a piece of that. This is very similar to how more and more people will end up on government healthcare. The point is that it won't be free for most people who lose their jobs. NOTHING is ever really free.
