Amtrak is it's own worst enemy. The coductors on board are told one story but as changes occur, those chanes are not past on to the rider. One example I endured was when the rear doors on a train car i was in , kept opening . This was a full train and with no place to go I was stuck in this car. They told us they would rearrange the cars at the next stop, putting our car at the end of they could lock out the car door. But this did not occur because they were already running late. Now the noise from the door opening any time it wanted was nerve racking and ruined a great train experine unable to sleep thru the noise and unable to find a conductor left me feeling like Garbage.The ride home on the local commuter was a much better experiance. Needless to say I have NOT ridden Amtrak since.

Please limit cell phone users to a special area. We are finding out the use causes cancer and is a hazard to others around them, to say nothing of how annoying it is to listen to converssations of three or four at a time gibbering on their phones because they are bored. I ride Amtrak almost every month and people are rude about this and their phones are blasting out tunes or ringing or dinging until they are answered. They interfere with the movies, babies sleeping, others trying to read or rest and are extremely annoying. Please, please do something (educate these people on consideration and courtsey) now as it is only going to get worse.
