Went in to have my first tattoo done by Styx Unlimeted Tattoo Emporium, but Jesse did the Tat. I had to wait around about 1 hour to get it done by appointment the tattoo sucks. Now I have to get a cover up tattoo. BLACK MOON TATTOOS in Illinois did the cover up for me and it was Awesome. Highly Recommend Black Moon!!!!
Thanks Styx,
Yeah I would have to agree with this person. I have one tattoo done by styx about 4 years ago. It looked like garbage and I have wanted to get ir reworked ever since. I finally had Jason at New Age rework it. He is a great artist. There is no way I will be going back to Styx. He doesn't care about his clients and seemed to care for little more than the money.

I got tattooed when you opened & I must say how down hill you have gone. YES; you were very friendly & helpfull when you opened but it seems stardom has gotten the best of you. When i came back I was shunned by you because you would rather try & impress your staff like you knew what you were talking about AFTER I explained you spelled my tattoo wrong. A simple mistake you could of fixed. Now, you get bad postings in regards to your poor business ethics. I have been to many other places & everyone says the same, all Styx is, is a washed up drunk with one bad drug addiction.
Thanks for not allowing me to make the same mistake by patronizing you a second time, i really appreciate it!
Dale, I'm sorry you had your tattoo misspelled. Tattoo artists are not dictionaries and some dont know how to spell even the simplest of words, they make art, not vocabulary quizzes, and when you tell them what you want your tattoo to say, they type/draw it out,**show it to you** put the stencil on you **show you again in the mirror** and when you give the final "OK" you are saying that what is temporarily on your body is what you want to be there permanently. Therefor, it is not the artists fault, but your own for not correcting the 'mistake' when the design was shown to you. It happens often in tattoo studios because there are many different spellings of many different words, and when you tell the artist "yes, that is what I want on my body" that is what you are going to get. If you change your mind later and decide it should have been spelled differently, that is on YOU.(common sense much?) Not the shop who probably asked at least 3 times "is that how you want it?" It is not their responsibility to read your mind, it is their responsibility to tattoo what you told them you want on you. Styx is the best artist I've ever met, and he will continue to be my artist.

And I dont know where you got informed that Styx is an alcoholic and drug addict, but I have had a business relationship with him for over 2 years now and your accusations couldnt be further from the truth. I hope you know that by posting such derogatory things on here about someone (especially false accusations) you are defaming his character, which is punishable by law. Im appalled at your inability to accept responsibility for your own actions.

I went to Styx Unlimited about a month ago to get my first tattoo and Styx himself did it. And it turned out bada**. And i have several friends that got there tattoo's done there. Jeff did most of theres. But Lonnie has done a couple and all of them are awesome. I will have no one else poke me. And April does great work with the piercing. They always make sure everything looks good and the way you want it before the lay down the ink. And they are all easy to talk to and friendly. Styx Rocks!!!!

Darling, if you have an issue with your tattoo soon after it is applied, you should probably see the artist who tattooed you instead of trash talking him to another shop to fix it. You probably didnt follow the aftercare instructions which were carefully explained to you. After 4 years of wear and tear on a tattoo (sunlight, immersion in water, scratches, your skin exfoliating, your skin's overall health, your overall health) who knows you're probably just an idiot and have no knowledge about what tattoos really are. people like you kill the tattoo industry with your ignorance.

I am planning on getting my 7 and possibly final tattoo soon. I have been reading the posts and am impressed with the comments about Styx Unlimited. I just need to know for sure that they are very clean and safe. I will be bringing my mother-in-law and cousin in whom neither have ever had tattoos done, they both would like to have them done with me. So, just doing some research first.

I had always heard positive reviews when it came to this tattoo parlor. I recently decided to get a tattoo, therefore, I went to Styx and was not impressed at the least. The man who worked the front desk was not friendly at all and just had a bad tone for every question I had. When it came down to the price, he wanted to charge me $150-$200 for four small words on my ankle! My brother had referred me to Black Moon and they were VERY friendly and their prices were phenomenal! Unfortunately, I have been to Styx with a friend and noticed an open bottle of liquor under the desk...Think twice everyone!

i have not had a tattoo done by Styx but i have had one done by one of his other artitsts named lonnie when he owned hellacious ink and i came in and got a badass bulldog thrown on my shoulder with chrome looking dog tags. lonnie is very professional and new the steps to take when my blood sugar dropped. he is very personable and a great artist i recommend him to anyone and if i ever get the time im heading back to him for another one.
