I would use Dr Abraham, or Dr Tuck at NEA. They will do your surgery at the surgical hospital. They are both excellent, and highly recommended surgeons. The hospital is extremely clean, with excellent nurses, that LOVE their jobs, and their service and care shows. Sorry, but being operated on at St Bernard's makes Dr Campbell out, in my book. Good luck though whatever you decide.

Why would it matter if he's operating out of St. Bernards instead of NEA? Just curious, I'm looking for all kinds of info before I make a decision!

Dr Campbell is by far the best doctor I have ever worked with. You know once in a while you cross paths with a person who is just stands out, the type of person that's just genuine, honest, caring and pure. I know we all have heard stories that St.Bernards is a nasty place and has staff and whatever else. Well Truth be know that St Bernard's OR department is one of the most organized in eastern Arkansas. They have over 100 employees alone working in Surgery, run over 15 surgery rooms a day. Every hospital has staff all over it. But what most people font realize is that there is 10 times more staff laying around Walmart and the Turtle creek mall. But to answer question Dr.Campbell is

Nice spelling, and grammar. You act like you have access to, or 1st hand knowledge of the inside of the OR there?

Yes Dr. Campbell did surgery on my aunt who was 75 yrs old at the time. She is now 80. She gives him all the credit for her mobility and being able to walk around as good as she does.

I went with her to the appointments before and after her surgery. We really liked him, he took time to explain everything and answered all our questions.

He is a great doctor as far as we are concerned. She had a very successful back surgery in the lumbar area. She has no regrets.

Dr. Campbell is both skilled and personable. I would trust him to treat me if I needed treatment. As far as St. Bernards Surgery department, it is as good, if not better than most in the region or state. The staph rate at St. Bernards is less than CDC standards for hospitals. As stated above you stand a greater chance of getting staph at Wal Mart than at St. Bernards

You won't go wrong with Dr. Campbell

I will be nice, and simply say that you can have both. I will continue recommending the NEA Neurosurgical group, and The Surgical Hospital.

I also used Dr. Campbell. When we needed a NS, we asked three doctors who we knew personally who they would use. All said Dr. Campbell.

I always heard good things about Dr. A. Then, he operated on a friend. He was not very understanding or compassionate. He was a little condescending. When she asked for a Dr. who specialized in her rare issue for which he had operated on (and she was getting worse), his answer was, "There is no one in the US who specializes in it". Apparently, he had not googled lately since there were several we had found who did. There were even clinics that did nothing but treat patients with it.
Pleased

I was referred to Dr. Campbell by my primary physician for back/sciatic pain. He took the time to review my CT and MRI scans with me, showing me all that was going on, and was very patient with me as I tried to decide what to do. As it turned out, I did physical therapy to relieve the pain, not surgery. Dr. Campbell got $40 off of me for an office call, and no surgery money. All the while I was talking to this man wondering why in the world am I so lucky to be able to have him in Jonesboro. He knew my family from his church, and acted genuinely concerned. He he wasn't concerned, he sure acted like it. I have since seen him out in public, he recognized me and asked me how I was doing. I'm sure there are other good doctors, but you asked about him. He's awesome. Wouldn't hesitate.
