Capitalism is the only thing that has helped or save the poor.<quoted text
Perhaps, but I see more problems with Socialism. Capitalism inspires people. It gives people a goal. You look at the guy driving the 100 thousand dollar car, or perhaps drive through upper class neighborhoods, or be employed by a successful company and say "I want to be like that one day."
The great thing about living in a country like ours (unlike the countries your article sites) is that just about anybody can be a capitalist. Just about anybody can be wealthy or at the very least, do financially well in the US. It may take a lot of work, a lot of investing, a lot of sacrifices, but it can be done if you start early enough.
But instead of looking at Socialism or capitalism in other countries, why not evaluate our very own versions? How is capitalism doing in this country? I think it's doing very well. It creates taxation, jobs, inspiration, expansion. Perfect? Of course not, but what is?
Now let's look at our versions of Socialism in this country. Medicare is going broke within a short time. Same with Social Security. Medicaid is the largest expenditure in most states and certainly a burden to all taxpayers. Do Obama phones, food stamps or unemployment benefits make people want to run out of the house and get a job?
We are at a point in our country where people in poverty live just as good if not better than the working. Don't you think something is wrong with a system like that? And if you are one of these so-called poor people, what's the sense of bettering yourself when you're living just fine. You have the size of family you always wanted, live very warm in the winter and comfortable in the summer. You eat better than many working people, and you even have an apartment or house in the suburb through HUD. What's the point of working?
So what's more destructive, capitalism or Socialism?
Socialism has killed millions (Hitler, chairman Mao, Stalin) got 80% of the vote, you'd thing people refer back to history, and learn from it.
Yes Sarbanes/Oxley should Not have been taken off the table, but you pay a Politician money they will sign on to any thing.
Bill Clinton did this.
I think people are wising up to the Democrats slowly but surely.
Obamacare is killing us,$3.70 gas, food prices have dbl, have you bought a steak lately?
Look at what Kasich has done for OHIO 250k jobs,$8bil debt to $1.5 surplus.
The Democrat candidate is chomping at the bit to get his hands on that money so they can play Social injustice again and make a fool out of the Poor.
Republicans aren't perfect but the Democrats bury the states in debt every chance they get and then throw it back to the republican party and say there you fix.
remember ole Dick Celeste (Dick Celeste before he Dicks you) that SOB should be in Prison today.
Instead he is a Dean at a college in Colorado, as you can see what the mess Colorado is in.
