Perhaps the food stamps and welfare is the part where Jesus states that if a poor man comes to you in need and you turn him away, it is as if you have turned Jesus Christ himself away? Maybe Bush's war, that was wholeheartedly supported by the Christian right, was just their way of turning the other cheek and loving their enemies like Christ taught? Maybe the concept of giving away all your worldly possessions, as Jesus taught you must do to be truly a good person that he talks about in that strange middle eastern religious book you guys keep trying to force into our government is a thousand times more socialist than anything I have ever believed in my entire life. Maybe there is a reason why Conservatives are agreeing with a commie leader and calling him a hero in the country where the church and state walk hand and hand?
You've lost your mind. None of what you just typed has anything to do with giving all your worldly possessions to GOVERNMENT.

Creationism is a fable, but believing that your great grandpappy was a silverback gorilla is solid science, right? Yep, you're the superior intellect for sure.
Who said anything about our great grand parents being silverback gorillas? How very extreme. You know, like trying to minimize the obvious effects of climate change by calling record flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and 30,000 record high temperatures in one year, a bunch of "cow farts". Oh you conniving rightwing Christian Conservatives and your constant need to twist words to fit your extremist agendas. Don't worry though. lil' tin foil hat trooper. You can still play the "Climate Change is a punishment by God against the gays" card when even the dumbest of our society, the religious folks with proven lower IQs, can no longer deny the damage that has been done to our planet's climate as a direct result of burning fossil fuels.

Since then founders of this country were mostly Deists and not Christians, who put knowledge above your fear based superstitions and who also made it very clear that no one religion should be favored over another, I think our nation will stick with the Supreme Court ruling on sneaking your religion in a science class. I know that it's difficult for you accept the fact that you no longer have a monopoly on god or country anymore, seeing that this country was hijacked by liars who claim our country was founded on Christianity and all, but you had your big day in the sun, Princess. It's what spiraled this great country into the mess it was when Obama took over. The American voters told you to stick your fascist agenda up your Tea Bagging @sses. Don't you EVER forget that.

I misspoke. I should have used the word “proof”.
When you say "in my opinion", that only has meaning if you have some special insight. Do you have any formal training in science? Or any advanced degree? You do realize that your views are at odds with the vast majority of the scientific community?
Do you and Dope on a Rope have advanced degrees or any formal training in science? No? Then your opinion doesn't mean any more than mine. I can google things just like you do.

If there's any debate about the Theory of Gravity, I'm not aware of it. That's because it's been proven. Scientists and the general public both accept it. It makes sense. Evolution has not been proven, thus the fierce debate about it. So, unless you want to rigidly close your mind to other possibilities, and cling to a theory which has not been proven -- that would be the antithesis of scientific curiosity, wouldn't it?-- maybe you should support the teaching of other theorie.? I don't advocate the teaching of one theory only. There are a lot of interesting things to learn about the ability of plants and animals to adapt, but adaptation isn't the same as evolving into an entirely different creature.
"... One 1987 estimate found that "700 scientists ...(out of a total of 480,000 U.S. earth and life scientists)... give credence to creation-science"....
Those polls are really old. Do you have anything more recent? At any rate, even one scientist who supports creation or intelligent design has more education than you on the subject. Would you be prepared to tell him that your opinion trumps his degree?

Scientists who question evolution are intimidated into silence and they sometimes even lose their jobs. Does that sound like a quest for truth to you? In the evolutionists' attempt to disprove the existence of an intelligent designer, they've inadvertently formed their own religion, and have become more hostile and dogmatic than people who believe in ID or creationism.
In 2008 microbiologist Richard Lenski produced a beneficial mutation in the lab...
I understand your desire to prove that tiny mutations in a species could account for the incredible diversity and complexity of life on the planet, but E. coli being manipulated in a lab for generations doesn't support that theory. And as I said before, a mutation results in a loss, which is the case here. The E. coli mutation resulted in the breakdown of certain genes, which prevented it from being able to metabolize two glucose molecules that it had been able to metabolize before.

And the mutated E. coli is still a bacterium, and it's still E. coli.

Rather than trying to disprove that life was purposefully and thoughtfully created, you evolutionists may be better served by opening your minds a bit.

Sorry, that whole anti-Christ thing, combined with the fact that the overwhelming majority of the scientific community disagrees with your radical, fear based religious beliefs makes you completely invalid in any form of rational discussion. Let me know when you have connived an answer to my question you keep sheepishly dodging. How do ice ages in the past, disprove and completely nullify any current scientific data on global weather trends? Why won't you answer that question? It makes you seem like a mouthy idiot with no idea what you are talking about.

The fact that us thinking folks go along with the experts in the science of our climate, and you agree with Bible thumping, gun hoarding kooks who gleefully gulp down any outdated anti-climate change propaganda the oil company spent millions on and talking snakes, makes your point of view like a chimp trying to wear people clothes.

Let's recap. Evil supernatural demonic entity from a magical fire world who takes over the planet until a water walking Jewish zombie comes down out of the clouds and beats him...yep. Absolutely. Proven fact. Overwhelming majority of climate scientists who accurately predicted the hottest decade in recorded history, stating that decades of burning fossil fuels has effected our climate? Hogwash!!!!

Hey, let us know when you can track down that link that states the majority of Americans don't believe in climate change, like you said. Unless of course you are just a sniveling liar who will do whatever it takes to push forward your unwanted and conniving Tea Bagger agenda. Better go ask Daddy Koch. The belief that life is too complex and orchestrated to have randomly evolved is hardly fear-based. It actually requires some commonsense and a basic knowledge of how things work. Your beliefs are fear-based and uneducated, not to mention small-minded. To assert that something as mind-boggling in its complexity as a single cell, could suddenly appear with no purpose or planning, is cavemanish in its ignorance. But still, I don't believe it shouldn't be taught in schools. People should have different theories presented to them, so they can make educated choices.
Let me know when you have connived an answer to my question you keep sheepishly dodging. How do ice ages in the past, disprove and completely nullify any current scientific data on global weather trends?
I already addressed that question. You either weren't smart enough to understand it, or you're upset because it didn't go the way you wanted. But, I have patience with people who haven't fully evolved yet, so l'll answer you again.

There is no data on the past Ice Ages. It's impossible to compare the climates then to the climate now. If it's true that there were past Ice Ages, then common sense (there's that word again) would suggest that the climates were extreme before, during, and after the Ice Ages, when the ice was forming or melting.

That said, the burden of proof is on climate change "experts". They've been unable to prove that any rise or fall in the earth's temperature is unnatural and dangerous, and that it's been caused by CO2 emissions. Before they alter everyone's existence, and force them to conform to irrational regulations, fines, and taxes, shouldn't they have to prove their theory? Answer that question, if you please. You don't want to seem like a mouthy idiot who has no idea what he's talking about, do you?
The fact that us thinking folks go along with the experts in the science of our climate, and you agree with Bible thumping, gun hoarding kooks who gleefully gulp down any outdated anti-climate change propaganda the oil company spent millions on and talking snakes, makes your point of view like a chimp trying to wear people clothes.
Careful now. Your ancestors were chimps in people clothes. Be respectful.

I made a mistake. I meant to say the majority of SCIENTISTS don't believe it.

Majority of scientists skeptical:
http://www.forbes.com/sites/jamestaylor/2013/...

Meteorologists skeptical:
http://www.forbes.com/sites/jamestaylor/2012/...

So, what was once a "proven" science has turned out to not be so believable after all. We'll eventually see a change like this in the theory of evolution, too. Scientists who are sincerely on a search for the truth, won't let left-wing loonies brainwash them forever. People who have a political agenda have been driving these debates for decades, and you've fallen for it, chump. Or is that "chimp"?

Ooooh now it's a secret Liberal ploy to have your posts removed. Is that the reason why you have sheepishly dodged the question you walked into? Once again, thanks for playing little trust fund.
