I don't live in Montgomery Co. But I'm dealing with a child visitation legal problem in Montgomery Co Courts. Can anyone give a good recommendation of an attorney that handles family law (divorces, visitation, etc)?

I am going through my second divorce and I want it to go more smoothly than my first one did! What are the benefits have having a well qualified attorney? What qualities should I look for in an attorney for the best situation and outcome?

I have been looking for a family law attorney to help me through my divorce. We are just starting to file the papers and I want to make sure that everything goes smoothly. I don't think it will be a long divorce, but I still want to have an attorney here with me. http://www.nancyebunting.com

Holly, were you able to find a good divorce attorney? Unfortunately, the wife and I are going to split. I thought it would be a simple process, but you know how she is. I would really like to get a personal referral before I go shopping around.

My sister need a family lawyer. She was recently divorced and wants more custody of the kids. I hope it's possible to change the original decision about that. Her life has been so sad lately without her kids.

A friend of mine had split custody of her son with her ex husband. He proceeded to move away, and cut off communication. She's my best friend, and we need a lawyer. We're getting her son back. http://davidsonlawcenter.com/family-law.html

Do family lawyers also help with martial problems? It would be nice if they could just resolve the conflict. It has been so hard with my uncle deciding to leave the family. http://www.adelaidelegal.net.au/family-law1

Holly -- that's a great questions. When looking for an attorney, I would recommend looking for experience, a great reputation, a helpful attitude, and a price that you can afford. An attorney with these qualities should be just right for you.

Holly---My advice is avoid attys that advertise themselves on message boards. They don't have enough to do, so are bad attys and lack clients. They'll also likely bill you continually, since they don't have enough clients to bill you reasonably.

I don't know of a lawyer in that area, but I have some tips for finding a good divorce lawyer. Look for free initial consultations. During that time, make sure to ask a lot of questions so that you can get a good feel of the lawyer. http://www.buhlerlawoffice.com/Family-Law-Div...

I have a brother who wants to study family law. From what he has learned already, it seems like there is so much to learn in that career field. I think it would be fun to learn how the legal system works for divorce and also child care. I will have to ask him once he gets through with school.

Recently my family has been going through all kinds of issues, and I've been thinking about hiring someone from family law to help me out. Do you guys have any good recommendations when it comes to dealing with family issues? I honestly don't want this to ruin my family's relations.

I've been wanting to look into the life of an attorney. They must have so many cases that they would rather not deal with. I am hoping I can call one and ask him some questions on how he feels about helping people that obviously don't deserve it. http://www.lynnjackson.com/attorney-profiles/

I wonder how the pricing ranges for family attorneys. My sister want's to divorce her husband but doesn't think she can afford an attorney to do it. I think it would be a good idea for her to at least go and talk to one to look into it though. http://www.eschbacherlaw.com/

I have a couple of friends that are dealing with family attorneys and I think it really depends on the company you are working for and what attorney you are getting. I am pretty sure that the attorneys can set their own price range which is why they say that you could work out a contract to make sure nothing more is tacked on. I don't think they vary that much because they are competing with other attorneys to take the case. http://www.lawfirmvirginia.com/legal-practice...

My sister is going through her second divorce and wants to be more prepared for the process. She wants to hire a family law attorney so that she can get what she deserves. Her last divorce almost left her with nothing because her ex took everything. She didn't have a lawyer there to help defend her and so she lost everything. She said that she is not going to make that mistake this time.

DO NOT use Severt Lopez and Pratt of Troy. When going through my divorce/child custody court case I ended up "canning" Jay Lopez because I caught him falsely billing and lieing to me. I would do it again. He goofed up the case and cost me big $$$$

My marriage is on the rocks and I would like to speak to a divorce attorney. We have been fighting so much and I just can't take it anymore. I want to speak to an attorney to understand what I need to do.
