We need to leave Dr.Malone alone. What about the new Superintendents salary?? Does anyone know he declined the first offer and one of our prestigious board members called him back and offered 130,000??!! Please refresh my memory on what our prior Superintedent was making...105,000. Where is this money coming from?? Maybe this is why they are looking at all of the extracurricular activities. Saving our schools money??
Fish rots from the head. Something about malone stinks, since lolli's promotion of malone brought disruption to malone's having a nice day doing business as usual the "staus quo" day. lolli's efforts to reverse his actions brought in two more "heads" of this rot, board members anderson and miller; who then joined the babb boosters bullies and community maney acts to discredit board members who supported children first budgeting; in efforts to "throw out of office" new board members who were reviewing pay to play fees and getting it done right. As Springboro families and taxpaying homeowners are clearly seeing now: everything that is RIGHT is not popular; AND everything that is popular is NOT right.

Very clever Bow, Wow in Springboro. I personally know several teachers in Springboro, including the teachers my own kids had in class. They earn every penny and deserve more!!!!! You obviously don't know anything about our teachers or teaching!!!!! How do you think we earned Excellent with Distinction?
<quoted text>
We now know that efforts to discredit our new board members and ridicule and intimidate them into "maintaining status quo business as usual BOE leadership" had nothing to do with excellent with distinction ratings;

BUT, has everything to do with our boosters board officiers unethical and "illegal IRS ratings." Lolli/Anderson/Babb failed in three attempts to over-rule the voice of the people who chose the new board members as our representatives. Isn't it time to change this blog's heading to "SPRINGBORO BOE MEMBERS ANDERSON AND MILLER" should be the next two to go?

Wow! A lot of people in Springboro are now experiencing heavy remorse over our votes for Scott Anderson and Don Miller in November 2009! Back then, a lot of people in Springboro were unaware of the previous elected officials "faking a budget crisis" to promote continuous streams of levies using things like busing and students activities fees to hold parents "hostage!"
Shame on you Anderson/Miller!
Scott Anderson and Don Miller are the two elected officials left in office that continue "business as usual" instead of asking the tough questions necessary to hold our athletics boosters officers accountable to our school district's legal by-laws and policies!
Mr. Anderson continues praise for the "great work" these boosters "experts" are doing; but has never acknowledged to our Springboro families and taxpaying homeowners that these "experts" have done wrong! Excuse Me, Mr. BOE President.... but financial "experts" do not ignore the law and pocket their "fundraising business profits" for themselves to "use the way THEY see best!
Mr. Anderson and Mr. Miller need to acknowledge that even for the good "Sports" in Boro.....There Is No Right Way to Do The Wrong Thing!
Thank Goodness! there is a right way to vote out of office the two BOE representatives whose decisions continue hurting our children!
The march is on toward November 2013

Anyone paying attention to the city council back then would already know Anderson could drown in a desert, meaning inept.

well, Anderson couldn't handle the pressure of the polling here...caved in like he always does. Someone buy him a bucket of buffalo wings to pick up his spirits.

Miller may be able to "run out the clock" till next school board election; but we must keep reminding voters that Don Miller is now the lone BOE representative that has voted for and promoted "five failed school levies" that were based on a projected fake budget crisis (holding parents and taxpyers hostage over things like busing and activities fees).
Since the first of this year, Don Miller has consistently voted against our children first budgeting process and votes against doing what's right for our school children and community as a whole. Time is running out ..... for status quo business as usual leadership; and Don Miller has now earned the title of "severely misled" and failed school board representative; and now Don Miller needs to stop trying to keep our children left behind; and Don Miller should now take a seat with other "former" BOE elected officials.

What most of you don't realize, and Scott Anderson is hoping that you don't find out, is that the original vote was Rigano, Miller to keep Malone at the HS and ANDERSON, Kohls, and Petroni to move him at the suggestion of Lolli. Anderson is doing everything he can to distance himself from this issue and make it look like he was never for moving Malone...
I do agree that the three that did not attend should have been there.
Do you have a way to confirm this or is it just another levy lady lie as they have spread so many lies no one can tell truth from fiction. Anderson can't tell the truth he does not know what that is anymore. The only thing Anderson wants is for he daughter to get a free ride to school on the bus and he said that to everyone. His goal in life is to make his life easier period.

there is 1 ,maybe more principals, past and present with multiple residences...and still they cry poor mouth... this is why we should vote no any new school levies.....I happen to know one ex-principal living quite well.
With renewal levy coming up next year and big tax increases on everything from health insurance to milk, it is time for our school district to take a serious look at highly paid double dipper administrators and get them moved promptly off the active payroll. Taxed to the max homeowners cannot afford to vote for any levy in Springboro School district until the cost of double dipping is cut out of our $50 plus million dollar school budget.

What "beloved" principal is holding the district hostage by threatening to create another incident if the district does not give him the same buyout that was offered two years ago? His contract ends this year--why would a buyout be needed? I thought he was all about what's best for the students, yet he is willing to take much needed money away from them.

When are we going to wise up enough to get rid of the "good ole boys" on the city council as well?

Township voters have opportunity to vote out long time good old boy Wade in 2013; but it is twice as difficult for Clearcreek twonship residents to get ride of Wade because Springboro city "good old boy" supporters get to vote for Clearcreek township trustees; while township voters do not get to vote for Springboro city council members.
It does appear that Clearcreek/Springboro voters have a "double dipping" big government with their hands in both our right and left pockets, fattening themselves while over-burdenend homeowners struggle with thinner and thinner wallets.

I tried , once being a city council member who voted in favor of township issues twice and running for township office. Got defeated soundly. It's difficult to beat the good ole boys, seeing the deep pockets of money they have to overwhelm any other candidate's attempt to reach the folks in publicity.

Again John........it can't possibly be because of YOU. Maybe no one liked you as a candidate? I hate to be so harsh, but reality has to set in sometime. It is always easiest to soothe your ego to blame the money.......you really have to let this go.

Mr. Parise, if you truly believe in yourself enough to have faced the ridicule of big union opposition in your sincere desire to serve the public, then don't give up.
Keep right on campaigning your message, regardless which way the elections go.
We need civic minded people going about doing good, taking responsibility for their own set of values and doing what can be done to influence others for good.
Our elected officials do not have a "lock box" on going about doing good.
Keep Believing in yourself!

Mr. Parise has a point. I looked at the election results...the top two people out of a total of five running, had massive influexes of cash into their respective campaigns. So don't tell me money didn't have any influence in the results.

This is so true. Big Union Money talks in all politics. An average citizen doesn't have a chance gaining visibility in Springboro among thousands of voters without communication resources which are costly; while the mayor blah-blah-blahs to the newspapers that he has so much money pumped into his unopposed campaign from union contributions that he will throw a big party to celebrate. So what's to celebrate, except the union bullies' opposition to every employee's Right to Work without being heavily taxed by organized unions, who then take our hard earned tax dollars and hand them over to union organizations to fund the liberal political system that continues denying our Right to Work without being taxed by oppressive unions.
Wonder why good citizens work so hard to support such unfair
labor practices as the unions impose with their fees?

excellent post...now watch later this fall as the mayor pumps money into the reelection of his neighbor Chmiel, his pastor(?) Moore, and of course his poker buddy, Wade.

The voters in my house, live in your ward. We did not vote for you each time. Nothing personal, just did not care for how you handled things in Springboro.

How vague is that?

What "things" can you state as an example?

In what way was this handled?

You did not care?

About what?
