The previous post should contain the raw scores of our tests, if not it has once again been deleted.
The posting of the scores and what we have achieved in Springboro given our resources and facilities that the taxpayers have provided should be a cause for celebration.
Instead it appears it is a cause for censorship.
We had 282 students score below 63% on the state standardized math test in the 7th grade.
Anybody want to get up and cheer those numbers?
This is not a one time anomaly, it has been going on for about a decade as is demonstrated by the state records.
In third grade we have about 70% of the kids scoring above 75%.
By 7th grade that number is 23% of the kids scoring above 75%.

We seem to be missing post #31686 what could have happened to it once again?
Does anyone wish to refute its conclusions?

Who is that Anonymous stealth one, creating random acts of wiping out the Truth throughout this Topix community blog?
#31694 Jul 13, 2014
Nobody Knows, but Anonymous for SURE can't handle the truth!
So, just do as Dr. Ron Malone prescribes for ignoring those pesky facts and just hide them from view on Topix.

We are still waiting on the response to the education we are providing our student with all of the monies the taxpayers of this community so generously provide.
If 40% of the children in this district are considered gifted, why can we only muster 1 out of 504 students who can get an A on the Ohio Achievement Assessment math test.
Just 1 kid out of 504 can get an A on the basic standardized math test administered by the state.
Are we really getting the value our children deserve for our tax dollars?

Why are posts mysteriously disappearing from this thread?
Could it be that Springboro's bleeding-heart obama-liberals have lowered themselves to launching "smart bomb" electromagnetic pulses through the internet?

Guess that means that our public school librarian union activists should keep their politics outside the doors of our taxpayer-funded Springboro school libraries; and keep their greedy little hands from dipping into school district owned resources, tossing out everything with which the Springboro Education Association disagrees.

Where oh where did post #31695 go?
"Off with their heads", the censorship King doth declare, "there will be no free thinking while I am in charge."
#31703 Jul 14, 2014
Even if they censor post #31702 the steady drip will ultimately erode the mightiest of rocks.
The results of the 2014 Ohio Achievement Assessment tests are in and the results do not appear promising at the junior high level.
More of the same, the steady decent in math scores continues unabated.
The question becomes why?
Will spending more money on new text increase the level of knowledge our children acquire?
Probably not, the answer I believe is systemic and resides with the providers not the curriculum.
If they are having trouble teaching the current text in math, why would one believe that teaching from a new unfamiliar source would generate better results.
Only a fool would believe in that fairy tale.

If research doesn't substantiate the cultural goals and priorities of today's Neo-Fascists, then we must ensure that it "does not continue." If speech refutes the Left's positions on any number of issues, then it has to be silenced. "Academic justice" means suppression of all those naughty things that people might say that contradict us. As far as speech is concerned, the Left definitely prefers a command economy over the free market.

Less than two years ago, as reported in the DDN website article, Todd Petrey was hired as superintendent of schools, replacing our former superintendent who gave his reason for leaving Springboro as having conflict of interest with the Children First board members' Vision of Reform.
In the news article, Springboro taxpayers were told:
"Where the board's at right now is wanting the highest academic achievement and fiscal responsibility, "That's what I stand for."
Now, less than six months under the leadership of union controlled board president and vice president, Charles Anderson and Ron Malone, Mr. Petrey has taken control of our influential Board Policy and Budget/Finance committees, and thrown out the strong principles of financial sustainability (which he declared he stood for) in surrender to a Renewed union first budget, putting the re-emphasis on the employment contract security of SEA staff and increased wages and compensation/benefits packages; all under the union label of hypocrisy of keeping the best teachers from striking against our children's education priorities of highest academic achievement.
People in this community should ask Mr. Petrey: where's the responsibility in that falling for anything that is insanely popular with the Springboro Education Association?
If our union controlled Anderson/Malone/Stuckey board majority members will only listen to Mr. Petrey's recommendations from the SEA staff, then WHO is representing the Students First in the board room majority votes?
#31706 Jul 14, 2014
It is quite possible NOW, if the question asked of our school superintendent was: Where's the union controlled board at right NOW....that the truth would be for SURE: It is like asking the fox to audit the hen house to see IF the chickens should continue to be used for eggs, or served up for dinner.

Proverbial wisdom teaches: "Just as it is harmful to eat too much honey, so also it is bad for men to think about all the honors they deserve!" Proverbs 25:27
Although our school superintendent was granted the contract employment security of $130,000/yr for five years as was negotiated with the board, to lead our school district beyond maintaining status quo; he quickly jumped on board with the SEA president and the insanely popular SHS principal (who were not happy with the children first budgeting Vision of Reform winning agenda, which is "ensuring that the children of the Springboro community receive an excellent education while keeping costs of that quality education affordable, by carefully adhering to responsible spending."
Mr. Petrey often testified praise and worship of the many honors that Mr. Malone had grown accustomed to expecting from our SEA members and our brainwashed SHS students, one of whom proclaimed in the local news that "her education could NOT thrive without her smile and have a nice day" encounter with the insanely popular SHS principal. And Mr. Petrey once said in honor of Mr. Malone's 41 years of experience in education, that it would take hiring three younger Professional Educators to do his job!
How hypocritical it that when all along Mr. Petrey was quite knowledgeable of the fact that Mr. Malone was running our SHS like a union shop, making up classes with scant demand to ensure employment for those whose skills were not in demand. This tact robbed resources from areas of greater need in the district. Those who suffered the most were the gifted and those in need of early intervention.
Our entire community of SEA Union Solidarity for SURE joined in the promotion of electing this insanely popular Mr. Malone (who has been a SHS principal for 13 years) and a successful school board election campaign was run on the Boro Alumni's "endorsement" that Mr.Malone would win because he was "insanely popular." Unfortunately, the true history of a man called Ron Malone through official documents written by third party observers did not get promoted throughout the community before election day; and some voting residents did not receive this truth in the mail until the day after the school board election.
Now that Ron Malone is an elected board representative and "most valuable person" on the MSA team, Mr. Petrey has stepped into the boardroom bully pulpit, leading the praise and worship services of the "honors" due this great man, by becoming Ron Malone's "helping hands" in passing the collection plate for New Taxes, as this union controlled board majority stupidly wastes our hard earned school tax dollars, while our students first needs are left behind trapped in moreRon's status quo of past failed practices.

It appears as though the censorship police from the school board have been at it once again.
Post #31702 has disappeared just like its previous posts of the same info presenting basic state test results in plain english.
Why do they not want the general populace to know that PROFICIENT means FAILURE?
It is not a mastery of anything but more simply represents a systemic failure of our system of education.
I will post the results once again in the following post.
#31710 Jul 15, 2014
Not only has Springboro School Superintendent, Todd Petrey, taken control of our influential Policy and Budget/Finance Committees; but he has thrown out the Voices of our two fiscal conservative Board members who were elected two years ago; and who should have been elected in January 2014 as schoolboard president and schoolboard vicepresident.
Instead, based on 6000 or so votes (out of over 10,000 households in Springboro schools voting district), Mr. Anderson and Mr. Malone assert themselves as the most insanely popular ones, showing disrespect to precedence that the senior board representatives had already earned a promotion in leadership based on the Good Public Service during the past two years of "unprecedented" progress for our school children and community; proven by the 2013-2014 school year beginning with a Pay Increase for every School Employee AND a slight reduction in Taxes for every Springboro Family! What is it about this Win-Win Children First Vision of Reform that's NOT to Love!
Only ONE answer to this multi-million dollar question: Springboro Education Association's Lust for the LOVE of more money and ALL the power over our children's minds in every classroom with a Union teacher. And that's the TRUTH about the leadership of our union controlled Board of Education majority members: Anderson/Malone/Stuckey that is hurting our kids classroom education and the future of our Great Nation.
#31711 Jul 15, 2014
At the heart of the Renewed Vision of Many Voices Project is that the union controlled Board of Education majority members is attempting to steamroll our varied, and YES, diverse community of Springboro into Conformity on important school district issues of Policy, Budget/Finance, and Curriculum....which are, and will always remain deeply divisive and keenly debated..... in protection of each ONE exercising our free will and free speech as WE BELIEVE are our Great American Constitution Rights for ONE and ALL (regardless of individual beliefs in politics, religion, education). Why waste our money promoting Jeff Stec's Citizens for Civic Renewal community meetings for ONE future of Union Solidarity for All?
What I dislike most about the Many Voices Project is that is largely made up of Springboro Education Association Staff Members who display NO tolerance, respect, nor acceptance that Springboro Citizens can think and believe differently than they do; and that we have our constitutional rights to disagree and argue our beliefs against our union controlled school government leaders and school employees.
Why do Professional Educators not understand that they are not the only important contributors to our children's education? Why do Professional Educators think they should not be expected to work as vigorous as others in the private sector? Why are some trying to delete the truth about our Test results that are proving to Taxpayers that our school children are not getting the quality classroom education from their union classroom teachers that our hard working taxpayers are "Paying Forward" for our children's future?

Post's keep being deleted. So much for the 1st amendment. What is this, Russia?
To the Admin of this blog thread...
IF you don't like the facts/figures that have been posted from legitimate sources then explain WHY??
We, as citizens have a right to the information.
#31713 Jul 15, 2014
Never did catch the Truth about the state test results in Post 31702.
Is there an official website available so that we can try plowing through to dig out the truth that is being deleted faster than we can read?
Most likely the reason those test results post on topix are getting deleting is because at the heart of the MSA/SEA leadership self-interest agenda is to steamroll our varied, and YES, diverse Springboro community into Collective Conformity on Important school district issues of Policy, Budget/Finance, and Curriculum, that will always remain as deeply divisive and keenly argued, as our deeply divisive and keenly argued Individual Beliefs in How to Spend our Money, politics, religion, and our Values in Education (which are based on individualís beliefs).
There is No Place In our Community for ONE future of collective union solidarity Against our many differences of opinions and beliefs among our Springboro stakeholders. Those of us who believe that it wrong for our government to overtax its citizens are the Many Voices that our school district leadership wants to silence, on this Topix, in the board room, and in the community engagement of discussions among ourselves (with NO outside facilitator allowed)!
