Want them to learn how to give, have them volunteer their time to spread mulch, cut grass, pull weeds, rake last years debris from the beds around houses, etc.<quoted text>
Good Golly Miss Molly! Who needs the Three R's (reading, ritin, and rithmetic) when all you need is Two R's (a rockin and a rollin) and popsicles and ice cream?
These paying it forward "random acts of irresponsibility" by SJHS PrinciPAL Blakely will probably be rewarded by SJHS students just lovin them some MoreRon Principal.
Anybody hear applause applause?
1. Box Top Competition is now through May 30th winning HR in both 7th and 8th grade will win popsicles and ice cream bars.
2. Student council will be selling tickets to listen to music in study hall to raise money for a Cancer Fund. Tickets will be sold in lunch for the next two weeks, each ticket will cost a dollar and can only be used once. Please stop by and support the cause!
Giving money to not study in study hall for whatever the cause is not the best way to inculcate good values, a work ethic, or an education in our children.
Unless your intention is to become the "cool" teacher or administrator by requiring less of your charges, this plan, however supposedly well intentioned, does not serve the best interest of the children in our schools.
