Typical response for S-U-R-E from the Majority of Losers supporting the OSBA takeover of our Board of Education, under the leadership of Charles Anderson, President and Ron Malone, Vice President.

Whatever happened to School Superintendent, Todd Petrey, under the leadership of this MSA majority?

Under the leadership of our previous Board's hiring of Todd Petrey, less than TWO YEARS AGO, Mr. Petrey commented in the DDN where the board is at right now, fiscal responsibility and highest academic achievement, is what he stood for!

Now it appears that School Superintendent Todd Petrey has lost his "footing" for S-U-R-E, and is rapidly sliding downhill toward the same old failed practices of the past two superintendents.

Perhaps you will recall that both David Baker and Gene Lolli attacked Springboro citizens' constitutional rights of free speech in their efforts to force Springboro Citizens to just shut up and live with it! David Baker filed charges against private citizens; Gene Lolli threatened legal charges against Springboro citizens who brought cameras to Lolli's community-wide public presention promoting Inscreased Taxes school levy campaign.

At April 3 board meeting, School Superintendent Todd Petrey, rallied support for Board Policy changes in First Reading limiting our Springboro citizens free speech rights to publicly address our BOE elected officials during pre-arranged participation and participation on agenda items.

The changes to public participation that Mr. Petrey's District Policy Committee members are bringing up for approval vote would require all citizens attending public meeting to sign in stating our name, address, and what we are going to talk about, before the citizens
recognized! That's the same policy that Gene Lolli tried pushing down our throats when he was running the Board of Education.(Some of those citizens who were stopped at the door of the LGI room by former school treasurer Tracy Jarvis still have a copy of the forms that she handed out to private citizens, collecting names address and subject matter IF we expected our "concerns" to be recognized as "worthy" of being heard by our Board of Education elected officials.

This policy change will be discussed further by Mr. Petrey's District Policy Committee at the next Policy Committee meeting on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. This meeting is OPEN to the public; but our school superintendent knows for S-U-R-E that few concerned citizens from the outside community will have opportunity to attend; and hear first hand Mr. Petrey's attempts, through these proposed policy changes, to SILENCE the voices of any opposition to this MSA/SEA takeover of our Board of Education and violation of our free speech and Constitutional rights.

After a poll of my 14 neighbors we have come to an agreement that Springboro Schools will have to go without this year. The constant asking for more money then assuring us Springboro residents are "wealthy" enough to afford it is appalling. Maybe they should remember "it's the ecconomy stupid". Also, it is really ok for those whose children participate in school sports to "pay to play". After all, although sports has a place, it is not a necessary part of a public education which needs to be funded by the entire community. At least after a child no longer participates in a sport, the parents will no longer be paying for the "pay to play". But if the fees are included in the levy all of us will always be paying.
The above comments were made on this Topix discussion blog in FEBRUARY 2008.

Everything Old and Insanely Popular with Springboro's Pro Levy Lovers is New Again....

At April 3, 2014, Board of Education business meeting, it was voted, once again, that all Springboro Taxpayers would pay from General Fund for the 1300 students who play sports; (due to the financial irresponsibililty of our Athletic Director, Matt Louis, who refused to live within the Athletic Department's financial means during the past year; Now the Athletic Director is rewarded for his poor job performance, at taxpayers' expense).

However, the majority vote AGAINST paying for students' classroom fees for academics was cast by Springboro Board of Education President, Charles Anderson; Vice President Ron Malone; and former sports coach David Stuckey.

Guess now Mr. Petrey's Renewed Vision for our school children and community is all about the Root of All Evil -- the love of money, power, and free sports for about 1300 students out of 5500 classroom students.

What More could be expected of Community business man, Charles Anderson, except the mis-use of the trust of Springboro families, using his political influence as Springboro Board of Education President to further his personal financial concerns?

After all, isn't Charles Anderson mentored by the former insanely popular SHS principal, who professionally served as role model for the past 13 years, mis-using the trust and influence that he had gained from Springboro families to personally further his political agenda of more financial gains for the SEA/union activists, even to the detriment of our students classroom education?
Thanks

Using the school district's email list and captured audience of 5600 households, our school board president decided to utilize this forum for advertising his funeral home business.
Mr. Anderson has "generously" offered to pledge $1 for every LIKE his funeral home receives on its facebook page for the after prom party up to $1000.
The net effect of this "donation" will be to drive more activity to Mr. Anderson's funeral home website and consequently positively impact more search engine results. Thus for Mr. Anderson's website, when someone in grief is searching for funeral services in Springboro, Anderson Funeral Home will rise towards the top in their google search.
Using our taxpayer funded resources and your position as president of the school board to enrich yourself personally would appear to be a gross misuse of scarce resources and your influence.
Really, you need children to LIKE a funeral home before you will give them the money?
Mr. Anderson, this has a cold, unseemly feel that quite frankly I would not have suspected from you.
If you want to give a donation from your heart, that is all well and good, but this just seems brazen, cold, calculated, and wrong.
Selling death as if it is an ice cream store to children just doesn't quite ring true.
Asking children to partake in your personal enrichment is both odd and troubling.
Thank you Mr. Anderson for your generous donation! FOR THE CHILDREN!

Quid pro quo ("something for something" in Latin) means an exchange of goods or services, where one transfer is contingent upon the other. English speakers often use the term to mean "a favour for a favour"; phrases with similar meaning include: "give and take", "tit for tat", and "you scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours."

This is not a donation, but the hiring of CHILDREN to further Mr. Anderson's personal business concerns while exploiting school district resources to reach a captive target audience.

If the CHILDREN fail to LIKE Mr. Anderson's funeral home, they will not receive the money. Just as if an employee fails to report for work, said employee will forgo the usual payment for their services.

How many adults are donating their time at work?

Never forget the blatant hypocrisy of Springboro BOE President, Charles Anderson, and keep spreading the truth that Mr. Anderson's bad choices have lost in him the citizens' trust that he does have ability to make wise decisions putting our students best interest first.

The original post may have disappeared from Topix; but not a chance that Topix can wipe out the truth that we have learned about Mr. Anderson's greed for the love of Money, which is the root of all evil; using our students for personal financial gain.

As shocking as this is, no one ought to be surprised.
Boro's Union Firsters have a long sordid history of claiming they work to help students.

A few examples of Boro students being manipulated and used:
- Mollygate
- Andersongate
- Boro students being manipulated in masse by NFSS in order to provide a cheerleading section for 5 consecutive ill-conceived, unneeded district levys

Excuse Me, but isn't it true that Becky Iverson ran for election to Springboro City Council in 2011 campaigning as a "Conservative"
and then in 2013 endorsing a 93% fire levy tax hike on Springboro families? How quickly these elected officials get on board the New Taxes train once their ticket into the community of unionism is secured!.

Working together with community organizer Jeff Stec, it appears that Petrey BELIEVES there is no limit to breaking down the defenses of people in this community with Stec's Rationalization Indoctrination program, asking where are the values in the BELIEFS of Springboro taxpayers; and why can't this school district pass a new school tax levy?

Elections come and go, and though we may not know the exact percentage, we do know that every community has "Joe and Jane" do-gooders who vote in support of higher taxes (oops, meant to say in support of bigger government) no matter what the issue is; as well as those who directly will gain financially from the Tax Increase and Bigger Government, such as Vendors, Teachers, Firefighters, Police Officers, and City Workers. These are the base tax hike supporters. On top of this base, are the voters who insanely approach voting as if it were a vote for the high school prom king and queen. These voters are the ones who uncritically accept the messages from the government tax proponent that supporting the levy is really about supporting the kids, or the teachers, or our public safety forces. Emotional blackmail plays its role in pushing uncertain voters over the edge, by hitting many hot button issues for residents. This "hitting many hot buttons" is what the hired facilitator, Jeff Stec, will be doing through his special interest focus groups, pitting neighbor against neighbor.
.....and much more.
