A) Malone Stuckey and Anderson are for conducting 30 very carefully crafted brainwashing sessions so that they can attempt to suck the heart of this community away from four years of Children First. The purpose of this facilitator is to lead citizens of this district blindly toward MSA's prime directive. That prime directive is creating more less-than useful district jobs so that the SEA will become stronger, as well as doing everything necessary, including encouaging unneccessary levies, in order to fill SEA Members Back Pockets First.
Lowest level of complexity 8th grade Ohio Achievement Assessment (OAA) Math test question.

If a facilitator is to have 30 meetings at taxpayer expense and be paid the princely sum of $12,000, how much would that facilitator be making per meeting?

A)$4/meeting
B)$40/meeting
C)$400/meeting
D) none of the above

Answer

C)$400 per meeting to spread the word that 32% on an OAA 8th grade math test really is PROFICIENT.

I wonder how much time you get at a meeting for $400?

As a nod towards equal time for opposing viewpoints, will the taxpayers also be affording the time for necessary prepared rebuttal by the Children's First group at each of these publicly funded coffee klatches?

I know how we as a district can save this $12,000 in question. Make it mandatory that parents must attend once-a-year parent-teacher conferences in all grade levels.

Our Springboro school board busom-buddy lifelong-pal majority Malone Stuckey & Anderson, are collectively being influenced heavily by teacher's union interests. Since before they were sworn in. freely wasting district tax dollars doesn't seem to be much of a problem for MSA. Hey! Maybe that's their mission plan! Throw $5 grand of public tax dollars away here. Throw another $12 grand of public tax dollars away threre. Inevitably, largely as a result of their own irresponsible spending practices, this new board will be forced to vote to place a school levy on the ballot. Oh! won't Babb Carlisle and Bindemann et al be ecstatic!

Why did these guys throw our tax dollars away for OSBA membership while the district already has free access to virtually every service OSBA has to offer? Oh! I know! This is because the 60 year old, highly corrupted Ohio School Board Association serves as a lobbying arm for the Ohio Education Association (OEA), the NEA, and of course locally the SEA. Of course, all three of these unions support Barack Obama's plan to socialize education, to take control of curriculum away from local control and to place all public school curriculum in all 50 states squarely in the hands of Washington DC bureaucrats who will care little or nothing about regional interests.

You can make it mandatory, but what do recourse do you possess in the event they fail to show up anyway?

I recall the catcalls and howls from the audience about investing $15,000 in a study involving charter school possibilities in Springboro. Where are those anti waste busters now?

The OSBA is the lobbying arm of the teachers union in Ohio, they lobby for the best interests of the union. If one takes the time to read their information, one will find very little about children and a great deal about what it takes to support unionized adults.

As a resource it generally produces more of the same, not earth shakers or movers, not reformers or visionaries, but status quo, union beholden individuals.

The penalty ought to be public embarrassment to not personally support your own childrens academic performance. In the local newspaper, publish names of each parent who fails to show up for parent-teacher conferences. These names should be placed adjacent to public notices of court notices and traffic offenses.

California, New York, Illinois. It’s no secret that liberal philosophies are running these states into bankruptcy. On the other hand, states like Wisconsin that have embraced conservatism are making an amazing turnaround.

Local school boards have traditionally been dominated by the liberal education establishment. Those policies have school districts constantly pleading for more money at both the state and local level. But now, after getting nowhere with the same ole, same ole approach towards education, some communities are giving conservatism a try. And, it’s working.

Liberals in education have told us that without more money there’s no way to offer the current level of service “to the children”. Their template for arm twisting taxpayers for more loot is to threaten important services for kids and parents: no busing, no new books, high class sizes, high fees, no field trips, and no athletic programs.

Communities across the state of Ohio and beyond are recognizing that the one cost control liberals in education never consider is the hyperbolic rate of increase on their union driven salaries and benefits that comprise 70-80 percent of your typical school budget. Citizens are stunned to learn that for years they’ve been coerced into passing levies “for the children” when the reality was more money was necessary to sustain the unsustainable increases in school employee compensation.

Now let’s pause for a moment. Conservatives believe in fair compensation. But what’s fair about a community average household income increasing at 1% per year, or declining in some cases, while school compensation increases at 6% per year? What’s fair about community members paying through the nose for their own medical insurance AND paying 80-90% of the freight for a Cadillac plan for their school employee counterparts?

The reality conservatives have brought to school boards is that by managing the cost of compensation the budget becomes manageable. Suddenly, there IS money for busing, books, technology, field trips, and more teachers. This doesn’t mean harming teachers and it certainly does not harm children – unless you see maintaining busing and books as something bad. To a conservative,“managing” does not mean “cutting”, it means balancing priorities within fiscal constraints.

The prime difference between the philosophies is that conservatives are willing to stand up on principle and not yield to the increasingly powerful unions. To conservatives, educational services for children are not something to be bargained way for excessively large pay increases and gi-normous insurance benefits for adults.

Of course, this doesn’t set well with the unions. They’re out organizing teachers and parents against conservative school board members labeling them as “extremists” and using their other 12 Rules for Radicals to wrestle back control and return to the status quo. They are quite good at making noise. When conservatives are managing your school board, the union is screaming.

Citizens, be alert. If you want fiscally responsibility, balanced priorities, and a “children-first” approach to managing school resources, then elect conservatives to your local school board. And by all means, stay clear of the philosophy that sent Detroit to bankruptcy.

To pass a tax hike, local governments just need 50% of the voters to agree plus one more voter. Though we don't know what the percentage is, our Springboro community has for sure a large percentage of pro-levy do-gooders who vote in support of higher taxes.(uh, excuse me, I meant to say "those who just trust the educators/firefighters/police officers and vote yes to support our local governments of forced unionism). Help Us Help You is their status quo mantra of taking care of government business, while falsely indoctrinating Citizens that they should "Feel Good" about their Government "Doing Good."

No matter what the issue is, these pro levy lovers are always for a new levy on the ballot, even though it is proven that local government is sustainable, with a lower tax burden, having enough revenue already being generated by Taxpayers with No New Taxes.

Did you know that our Springboro citizens for responsible spending proved last May 2013 that more money was not needed by our CCFD,(and with few resources of money and people power; AND lots of help from Conservative elected officials who believe in budget transparency and who believe in providing honest answers to taxpayers questions) went about spreading the great news that New money was not needed; and did you know the un-necessary 93% fire levy Tax Increase on every Family Home in Springboro was defeated at the polls?
Please note that Ron Malone who was high school principal in May 2013 endorsed this un-necessary 93% fire levy Tax Increases on every Family Home in Springboro, even though it was learned in public meeting that Our High School Parents could not even afford to pay activities fees for their own high school students; and it was reported to the public that parents were hundreds of thousands of dollars delinquent in paying fees for their own students.) That was back then in 2013.

Now, in 2014, our former SHS principal Ron Malone, is elected to the Board of Education, as retired educator, who disagrees with the direction of putting children's needs of safety first (physical aspects of education including quality Teachers in every classroom) stating that re-emphasis should be put on the "VALUE" (more money) on the educator. Mr. Malone "feels" that 30 high school students in a class room is unacceptable. But why is that if our SHS goal is to prepare our students for future success in the real world of higher education? Could it be that smaller classes, as few as 17 students, in addition to increasing course requirements for high school graduation is simply
Mr. Malone's Creation of Bigger School Government and Greater employment security for the Springboro Education Association, even
if it means "over-taxing" Springboro families.

Keep in mind that NFSS Levy Committee, Mr. Petrey, our retired educators/board members Ron Malone and David Stuckey, along with Community business man Charles Anderson, were all aligned moving forward together AGAINST giving something back in reduced taxes to Springboro Families, BEFORE they were FOR the November 2013 Reduced Renewal for Springboro Schools.

Stay Alert Voters! Could it be that Mr. Petrey is now trying to by-pass the leadership of our Conservative School Board Members on the Budget/Finance Committee, by setting up all these Community focus groups, so that he has control over recommendations that he brings to all five board members for approval (which of course his recommendations to the board will be the "level of service the people want and how much collective NEW MONEY it will cost each individual Homeowner in increased school taxes)?

People in this community should send a message to Board President Charles Anderson at the the next School board meeting to Just Say No to Mr. Petrey, who wants to charge Community Members $400 to meet with an outside hired Facilitator.... Every community member/taxpayer
already has that opportunity to freely "speak our minds to our School Staff/Board Representatives."

The more you know about the Agenda of the Springboro Board of Education Special Worship Meeting which was held on February 1, 2014, the more it will show that our Five BOE elected officials need to Say NO to Mr. Petrey's plan to move ahead with his focus group committees (at a cost of $12,000 plus to hire an outside facilitator)
that will Develop a District Public Relations & Communication Team (PRCT ). You can go to the school website and find on the Board of Education heading the February 1 agenda. Inform yourself of the full Nine Pages of Mr. Petrey's District Annual Focus.

It is under the Heading of "Develop a District Public Relations and Communication Team" (PRCT) that Mr. Petrey lists All the New Sub Committees he plans to fully implement to align with PRCT, including:

Community Impact Team -- which is the same proposal that Mr. Petrey brought to work session last year (2013) but that he did not bring to the school board business meeting in a formal proposal asking the board for Approval. The Community Impact Team was explained by Mr. Petrey in last year work session, as his hand picked Team, including the SEA President, Elected Officials from the Township/City Firefighters/Union and Police Officers Union. Mr. Petrey had explained that Private Citizens who had interest in the Community Impact Team could "apply" and that he would choose from among those interested private citizens, Lottery Style, to determine which ones of us private citizens were "Lucky" enough to be seated on Petrey's Community Impact Team.

This Community Impact Team is just One of TEN sub-committees that Mr. Petrey has proposed that his Renewed Vision for our school children and community needs, at the high cost of $12,000 Plus, as an outside Facilitator is hired to come into our local schools and develop a
District Public Relations & Communication Team. It does appear that Mr. Petrey is forming these Focus Groups that will meet regularly with this highly paid Facilitator to Move Ahead Together determining "Where are the Values of the Springboro beliefs of community taxpayers?" It is understood that these committees will make NO recommendations; but that the Superintendent will then
"Interpret" the values of the Springboro beliefs of community taxpayers, and then bring the Superintendent's STAFF Recommendations directly to the Five Board Members in public meeting, asking for rubber stamp approval.... just like in the old Baker/Dettwiller days.

Mr. Petrey should bring more on this to the public board meeting on February 27th; till then, community members can contact your board members, asking questions/requesting more information as to why
Taxpayers Money and our highly paid school superintendent's Time is being wasted on these focus groups?

I have oft wondered why God had to be any particular sex at all?

And what would God think about the under education of our children?

When after 8 years of education within our system, 8 out of 10 children fail to master a basic Ohio Achievement Assessment test in math, what does that say about our efforts?

Our we doing as well as we can in this arena?

Why no mention of the education our children are receiving, does everyone in education truly believe that 32% on a basic assessment test is PROFICIENT?

Perhaps we should first educate Mr. Malone in regards to what constitutes PROFICIENT, he seemed to not understand last year when he was a high school principal.

Isn't it too late to remorse on what should have been done first last year when he was a high school principal?

Now that our insanely popular with the community, Mr. Malone, is elected Vice President of the Board of Education, it is not too late for his fellow board members to ask Mr. Malone for his resignation from the Board of Education, based on his True History of past failed practices of under-educating our children and his proven wasteful misallocation of school district funds and resources, when he was a high school principal.(For example, Mr. Malone ignored implementing HSTW practices even though our district received the money).

If our board of education members refuse to hold their own fellow
board member, Mr. Malone, accountable for his past leadership failures by asking Mr.Malone to please resign from the board; then how can we trust the judgement of our elected officials to hold accountable our School Staff so that Mr. Malone's failed practices of under educating our children never go unnoticed again?

Tomorrow is February 11, 2014. This date marks the 6th anniversary of this thread "Our recommendation..." Take a moment or two and click back to the very beginning. Read through the posts on the first few pages. What was going on in this community in February 2008? We had a school board full of union-bullies who USED the district superintendent's naturally spiteful demeanor to help sell the "need" for FIVE school levies, all of which were later found to be unnecessary plus a flagrant waste of local citizens' time and energy.

What was the very reason for this thread to begin with? It was to uproot and then discard the 2008 union-bullies and their overpaid puppets. We've now gone full cycle. In 2009 and again in 2011 we as a community made steps to embrace education the way it was meant to be by truly putting Students First. However, last fall, we as a community invited GREED back to dominate our board room. Again, tommorow marks the 6th anniversary of this thread. But no, we're not going to wait for tomorrow. TODAY marks the beginning of the end of the Malone-Stuckey-Anderson-Petrey SEA-inspired dog-and-pony show of greed.

@2nd time around..
and all the people said Amen!

First, Let Us Pray that Ron Malone will feel conviction in his heart of his wrong doing against his neighbors the First Time around in March 2012 when he ran to his church building asking for prayer "during his difficult times of suffering."

Mr. Malone was no Victim of the three board members that he spread lies throughout our community about, saying they were trying to push him out of a job. But, that was Mr. Malone's mantra of FEAR (false evidence appearing real) that he used to lead this community of trusting families, including even his own SHS students, into a protest against his professional superiors judgment, including his good friend and boss Gene Lolli, and against Board authority to implement state mandates to our school district to prepare ourselves for the changes in student grading and school district rating system.

Mr. Malone's disrespectful behavior and rude arrogance was
protected in March 2012, during his public hissy fit to have it malone's way, by the Public Schools Employment Protection Plan by allowing him to continue his last year of contract as SHS principal. Mr. Scott Anderson who was 2012 BOE president pounded the gavel in the board room and declared our district was back to Malone's status quo "business as usual."

The Professional Educators cheered with crowd pleasing applause, vowing that the Three Board Members that Mr. Malone was demonizing with his mantra of FEAR should just get out of the way and let the Educators take back their board. Now, Mr. Malone has made good on his two year campaign vote for revenge against these board members whose legal authority Mr. Malone protested against in March 2012; and true to Mr. Malone's high school students prediction, Ron Malone won school board election based on name recognition only and being insanely popular.

However, in February 2014, there is no protection of employment contract in place for Mr. Malone. There is only his personal responsibility to all citizens in Springboro for Mr. Malone to do the right thing, if he truly does care about the future of our school children and community, and just step down from the BOE bully pulpit.

The Time Has Now Come for Mr. Malone to go.....

we now have public records proof of his past failed practices as SHS principal,
with two separate audits of academic success showing significant weakness; and public records now proving that Mr. Malone was never held accountable to affect needed changes to improve in these weaknesses:(1) Warren County ESC (2) 2010 High School TAV report.

Mr. Malone is no longer SHS principal; but now that he is an elected board representative, Mr. Malone can no longer hide from his record of poor work performances, behind the MSA threesome team label. Mr. Malone appears to think that he is three voices in one, using Mr. Anderson and Mr. Stuckey as his puppets, pulling them to push with him back to Malone's March 2012 "business as usual."

Only board member Ron Malone is responsible for past failures as a professional educator, and only Ron Malone must be held accountable by his peers in the board room. Ron Malone was given a free pass in the high school and that was not right; Ron Malone cannot be given a free pass in the board room; it is not right that two wrongs be overlooked, just because Ron Malone has had 41 years of past educational experience. It really is time for Mr. Malone to go.......

You're absolutely correct. Anderson isn't going to bend just because of Malone's opinions. So what's going to affect Charles Anderson's decision-making the most? Pressure on Anderson is going to come from all angles. The primary pressure is going to come from the SEA, which by far, represents Anderson's largest constituency of voters. Rather than bowing to Malone, Anderson is much more apt to bend to Maney's agenda. Or, to put it another way, all three newcomers MS and A are likely to have red Batphone hotlines into the SEA's office because it was the union's overall agenda of greed which supplied the resources for the MSA black sign campaign of lies, twists and misconceptions.

You think a man as accomplished as Charlie Anderson is just going to benignly nod his head just because Ronnie speaks? You are a fool.
There is no foolishness in the truth about good old bobble head Charlie boy nodding in approval just because old man Ronnie Malone speaks (or is that just lazily mumbling).
No fool about it; Truth is Truth.

That's what MSA supporters for S-U-R-E have been posting as proof on this topix about community business man good old Charlie boy.... that he is WITH Malone and Stuckey and AGAINST the other two elected officials.(Don't bother demanding proof for sure! Do your own research and dig into the past on this blog; if You want to waste your time trying to prove others "are a fool" for seeing the truth. It just can't be done, REALLY).
