In the event of an unplanned attack, neither the presence of either conceal carry or uniformed resource officers makes much of a difference in terms of being a deterrent.
On the contrary, in shootings where someone was armed and fought back, the attacks quickly flagged with the realization that these were not the sheep the shooter sought.

The ability to return fire is huge in such a situation, as anywhere armed opposition occurred we find casualties are fewer and the rampage shorter.

Show me an alternate example of a mass murderer being negotiated into a cease fire or being deterred by your sign with a diagonal line through a gun marking this place as a gun free zone.

Why not ask a question that can be answered! If I had the ability to read the "minds" or "will" of the current board I may be able to answer your question. Considering that isn't possible the question you pose is absolutely absurd.
I guess we should expect that from an "inquiring" mind as opposed to one that already has their mind made up and can think for itself.
Then perhaps we should ask the current members of the board and seek the answer from the horse's mouth.

The alternate reading means putting them into context of other schools around us, but you don't like to do that. You want to measure everything by 100% perfect standards.

A standard I'm sure YOU live up to.(unless you count backing candidates).

The questions you pose have NO bearing on the community WHATSOEVER. The oratory is repetitive and seems to be falling on deaf ears for over a year now.

No one is buying your Bravo Sierra.

Performance Index 2012-2013
The Performance Index measures the test results of every student, not just those who score proficient or higher. There are six levels on the index and districts receive points for every student in each of these levels. The higher the achievement level, the more the points awarded in the district's index. This rewards schools and districts for improving performance.

Achievement Level % of Students Points for Level Points Received
Advanced Plus 0.5 1.3 0.6
Advanced 36.0 1.2 43.2
Accelerated 30.8 1.1 33.9

A =90.0 - 100.0%
B =80.0 - 89.9%
C =70.0 - 79.9%
D =50.0 - 69.9%
F =0.0 - 49.9%

Did You Know ..... According to the Boro E News for January 23, 2014, more than $250,000 of school fees are still unpaid AND this directly IMPACTS school operations?

Check out the facts and consequences for students if parents do not pay this fee for their own students by the deadline date of January 31, 2014, on the Springboro Schools website.

Did You Know that last year (2013) when Unpaid fees by Parents of school children were being discussed in the public board meetings that Ron Malone (who was employed as insanely popular SHS principal with the union activists/pro levy lovers) endorsed an UnNecessary May 2013 proposed CCFD fire levy 93% tax increase on every Springboro Family in the Clearcreek/Springboro voting district?

Did You Know that Ron Malone, Charles Anderson, and David Stuckey all three were FOR over-taxing Springboro families the FULL $9.2 million Renewal Levy BEFORE they supported the honest amount needed in Reduced Renewal Levy saving Springboro Families $6.5 million, putting Our Students First while maintaining fiscal integrity within the framework of our Children First Budget?

Did You Know that board appointments will be made at the January 23 public BOE meeting to influential committees; and that most likely the arrogant votes of Mr. Anderson, Mr. Malone and Mr. Stuckey will throw Our Children First and Budget Transparency out of the board room; shutting out the Voice of the Community, just as previous board members practiced in the bad old days of the good of Baker boys days?

Here's a clue for you. Stop worrying about placing Boro's students in context with neighboring school districts, or for that matter, with peers around the rest of America. If you step back and examine the bigger picture, the lion's share of America's kids are pretty much floating in the same boat with each other. Collectively, this nations kids are lagging behind almost all of the rest of the industrialized world. If we're sincere about our childrens' futures, we've got to be placing their education standards in context with that of their global competition.

Please explain your point. In what way has the former board's marked improvement in the overall business efficiency been detrimental to student performance in Springboro Community City Schools?

Wait! Wait! Don't tell me!. I know!

You're going to post that teachers and admins who aren't getting everything handed to them on a sparkling platter are going to be miserable, unhappy teachers and admins. And because a certain number of the staff is pissed off, a lot of them will openly pass their frustrations onto Boro's students in the form of increasingly less-than-par instruction methods. Yup! Got 'cha nailed!

How many of those asian countries use charter schools or children's first budgeting? Pretty sure they all have universal health care and teach evolution in the science class.

Oh, and they probably don't go over the "founding fathers intention" too much either.

The US in 2010 spend 21.7% of GDP per capita in 2010 50 countries spend more (asian countries included).

Yet people here still say you can spend less and get a better education. What denial....

For the Record

Springboro Schools received three overall A grades and two overall B grades on the new state report card. Ohio is raising the bar with a system of AF letter grades so that educators, parents and taxpayers can see how schools are performing and where we can improve. We are using our school performance data to guide improvements and individualized instruction for all students. For example, the savings from our efficiency plans are invested in increased gifted education and reading intervention for 2013-2014.
(check website http://reportcard.education.ohio.gov/pages/di... )

Look at the Past SHS principal Ron Malone's misallocation of district and taxpayers resources, whose tactics robbed resources from areas of greater need in the district. Those who suffered the most were the gifted and those in need of early intervention, yielding for our school district "D" grade on gifted intervention and "C" grade on the lowest 20% in achievement from state.

Look at the record:
Number of Dual College Credit Classes available when Mr. Malone retired equals - 0 -
Number of Dual College Credit Classes added after Mr. Malone retired June 30, 213 equals - 6-

Question remains "How low will Malone go" in dumbing down our Children First in the board room; just like he did in dumbing down our curriculum, running our high school like a union shop, making up classes with scant demand to ensure employment for those whose skills were not in demand?

Mr.Malone has already gone so low as to admit in the May 2013 Springboro Life magazine interview:

"My strengths and the board's expectations of my position do not match as well as I would like."

Does that mean that now as BOE elected official that Mr. Malone plans to "dumb down" the Vision of Reform that he protested against; so that his status quo tunnel vision will darken the bright future of putting students first, while maintaining fiscal integrity?

Does this mean that Mr. Malone has no higher goals, than re-instating his past failed practices as high school principal, in the on-going challenge to Raise the bar for our teachers and students for a Quality Classroom 21st Century Education?
