The True History of a man through official documents written by third party observers.
It is not as golden as you have been lead to
believe.

As the man who led our school district as high school principal for 13 years, Ron Malone held a special place of trust, authority, and influence in our community. How he chose to use tose gifts is revealed in the public records reports of his professional peer reviewers, his superiors, and his own public pronouncements.

2013 USNEWS ranking of high schools in Ohio ranks King's #23, Mason#35, Bellbrook#37, Broookville#41,
Lebanon$38, Centerville #49, Waynesville #53, Monroe#90, and FINALLY Springboro #97!

Given our district's stated 40% gifted population, the fact that only 20% are on track to take A/P classes in high school, our district is severely underperforming compared to those districts around us in my opinion.

How could Ron Malone deceive so many parents and students for so long in his role of professional hypocrite with 41 years PAST experience as an "educator?"

How could Ron Malone get away with running our Springboro High School like a union shop, making up classes with scant demand to ensure employment for those whose skills were not in demand?

This tactic robbed resources from areas of greater NEED in the district. Those who suffered the most were the gifted and those in need of early intervention.

What a Waste of Taxpayers Money and Wasted educational opportunities for our students!
What a shame on Springboro voters for rewarding Ron Malone's academic and financial abuse of our students and taxpayers by seating Mr. Malone in the bully pulpit of the board room FOUR more years! WOW!...there oughta be a law protecting the Ignorant Elite in Springboro Schools who WASTED 5673 votes electing Ron Malone to school board.

Why did he not implement board policies quickly enough? BECAUSE THE POLICIES SUCKED! Kudos for him for standing up for what was right for the kids and if that resulted in some negative verbiage on his eval, so be it. These are the kinds of things that the community is on to and sees RIGHT THROUGH now - and the the reason that the KPR/Wiedeman candidates, Bitner and Vaughn, were massacred.
I received the flyer the day AFTER the election. The election is now over, and Mr. Malone FAILED to get "the most popular vote
for revenge" AGAINST Kelly Kohls, David Petroni, Jim Rigano, and Doug Wiedeman; neither of whom were running for November 5 school board election.

Now, as board member elect, Mr. Malone is already
resuming his March 2012 "re-instate Principal Ron" protest rally against Our Students First/Children's First Budgeting winning agenda of our current board members and our NEW School District Administrators.

Based on public employment records of Mr. Malone, we now see clearly the lies and deceit that Ron Malone, and his union activist wife Sheri, spread throughout our schools, community and churches, falsely accusing board members Kelly Kohls, Jim Rigano, and David Petroni of trying to push the little children's BELOVED
education god, Principal Ron, out of his job.

Now we know that the whole scam of "re-instate Principal Ron" was nothing more than efforts of Gene Lolli trying to "save face" for the delusional insanely popular princiPAL, who priority with our school tax dollars was to keep Mr. Maney and his staff "HAPPY"
by running OUR Springboro High School like a Maney-Acts Union Shop, making up classes with scant demand to ensure employment for those whose skills were not in demand. Shame on you, Principal Ron! How dare you seduce our high school students with donuts and smiles and have a nice day; rendering One High School girl "unable to THRIVE in her education without her daily dose of "princiPAL Ron...?"

According to the DDN news article, princiPAL Ron's seductive influence on ONE high school girl caused this student to
"interrupt her OGT during class and take time out to give her attention to the task of emailing the Springboro School Board of Education on behalf of keeping her princiPAL Ron from leaving
the high school building....in order to ACCEPT a Greater Job Challenge and Big Promotion to District Offices, using his required expertise to help our school district leaders to RAISE THE BAR FOR ALL STUDNETS AND TEACHERS!

BUT MR. MALONE REFUSED TO LOOK AT TODAY AND THE FUTURE IN MARCH 2012; AND STILL CLINGS TO THE PAST SYMBOLISM OF THE BLUE RIBBON SPECIAL TITLE OF INSANELY POPULAR THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY.

Isn't it fun being the wealthiest, most educated, AND FINALLY
SPRINGBORO #97 school district among them all?

One of my favorite parts about this election was talking to people who had voted for Kohls and/or Petroni/Rigano who were doing a 180. My father was one of these people. He is generally pro tea party and anti-union, but even he couldn't wait to get rid of the mindset of the current board. My father is one of many. You fail to realize that MSA's support was vast, varied, and strong. You will be reminded of this in two years when the pizza guys are voted down in another landslide.(Unless they squeak in by being on a school board led by MSA, which will make even Petroni and Rigano look good.)
It is proven For S-U-R-E that the Community of Blah blah blah has to be a bunch of Anti-Students First Fanatics, Who Can't Change Ron Malone's Vote for Revenge against BOE members Kelly Kohls, Jim Rigano and David Petroni; and Won't Change the Subject.

The Warren County Education Service Center had two quotes from 2010 and from 2012. These were the opinions of professional educators hired to audit our program of studies, they were in no way influenced by our current board of education.

“SHS still offers general level classes (Algebra 1A and 1B, physical science, US History, and World History). Thus, not all students experience a college preparatory curriculum. Documents provided to the Technical Assitance Visiting(TAV) Team indicate that contrary to the High Schools That Works philosophy, SHS believes that offering low-level courses is in the best interest of students. This belief, however, WAS NOT SUBSTANTIATED by research or data.”

Mr. Gene Lolli wrote his comments during the performance review in January 2012. How many of us would survive in our jobs with the levels of compliance and cooperation Mr. Malone demonstrated to his good friend?

“Mr. Malone does demonstrate the ability to affect change, but sometimes very reluctantly. It sometimes takes numerous requests by Superintendent before changes are implemented.”
“Mr. Malone needs to improve on getting request goals to the Superintendent in a timely fashion. Examples include: Requested schedule of events for delayed start at the beginning of the year, at semester, and last week and have not yet received. Also requested times and dates of all staff meetings and quarterly updates on the High Schools That Work per 2011-2012 job targets."

Did USWNEWS have a particular axe to grind with Mr. Malone?

2013 USNEWS ranking of high schools in Ohio ranks Kingʼs #23, Mason #35, Bellbrook #37, Brookville #41, Lebanon #48, Centerville #49, Waynesville #53, Monroe #90, and finally Springboro #97.

Anyone care to correct the reports from Warren County Education Service Center, Mr. Lolli, or USNEWS?

QUESTION: Mr. Gene Lolli wrote his comments during the performance review in January 2012. How many of us would survive in our jobs with the levels of compliance and cooperation Mr. Malone demonstrated to his good friend?

ANSWER: Those of us school district taxpayers living and working in the REAL WORLD, trying to survive and keep our jobs during a really bad economy, AND even worse profitable job market throughout the State of Ohio...

...are held accountable to ZERO poor performance levels... in the private sector workplace that means "NO PERFORMANCE, NO EMPLOYEMENT."

Now that the truth is out about what really happened during the March 2012 "re-instate Principal Ron" community wide-temper tantrum; inquiring minds are asking: How did this level of "No Ron Malone Accountability to our Students First" raise the bar of Ron Malone's poor performance as a High School Principal to being elected Number Two in popularity as school board member?

This cracks me up!!! First of all, it was not a popularity contest. Malone, Stuckey, and Anderson just wanted all three of them to win. The fact that Anderson had the highest number of votes is indicative of the fact that you all put him on your signs too!!! You guys were SO afraid of Malone that you endorsed Anderson. So, yes, mathematically speaking, that's what put Anderson over the top, and I couldn't be more thrilled! Did I think Malone would garner the highest number of votes? Yes. Until you all told your side to vote for him also and then it was clear Anderson would. He was an excellent candidate and deserving.
By the way, you don't need to keep thanking the current school board (yourself?) and the mediocre "super." We get it.
Mr. Anderson garnered the most votes because he was perceived as the most competent person running across all spectrum.

Mr. Anderson represents the people's desire for a person with past experience serving on the board of education and business success in the private sector.

This combination will serve Mr Anderson and the community well.

The facts are there is NO BOE MAJORITY of Malone/Stuckey Educators Representing Educators.

The facts are, as of January 2014, Our Three newly elected board representatives will join the current board members and begin the learning process, AS A TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS, how to effectively FIT their individual skills with board members Jim Rigano and David Petroni and Mr. Petrey and our school district administrators and building principals.

WE BELIEVE in order to deliver the highest level of education we must RAISE THE BAR well past the state minimums and strive to challenge our children, parents, and staff to reach higher. We can and must do better, our children's future depends on our actions today.

You sound like so many on this site that will repeat statistics or quotes but know nothing about how to teach children. Yes, Springboro Schools offer basic level Algebra and History classes. And yes some students take these class. Do you really expect every child to take the more advanced classes? Do you really think every student in Springboro should be in the same type of class and learns at exactly the same pace? Do you really think that every student should go to college? As stated very clearly at the board meeting last Thursday, your precious Petroni and Regano do not believe the same as you! You should also apply some critical thinking before you so quickly repeat a statement that makes no sense. And remember, Springboro is a public school, required to teach ALL of its students, not just the best and the brightest. As with any other public school district around (Centerville, Lebanon, Beavercreek, etc.) they all have the basic level courses on their program of studies because they understand - it is NEEDED for some students.

And the only negativity I see is what is brought about by this blog!

As for the "D" grade in Gifted area - have you looked closely, that grade is not directed at just the high school. In fact the Progress Details from the State of Ohio's report card showed that the 8th grade was rated an F in "Reading" and in "All Tests" and a D in Math which would show that Ms. Cook was severely deficient in her duties but yet the board still thought she was the perfect person to define the curriculum for all of our students. ...YOUR precious Petroni and Rigano do not believe the same as
you? Oh My!

Can you please apply some critical thinking AFTER reading the following beliefs, and please "educate" school district voters
just "which one of these statements of our beliefs makes no sense?"

WE BELIEVE, When we combine common sense spending with the strong performance of our schools, we provide opportunities for everyone--Our Students, Our Teachers, Our Families and Our Community.

As the status quo placed awards on the school walls, many assumed that all was well inside those walls.

But the awards only measure the PAST, and the STANDARDS are changing. Our schools perform well by the MINIMUM state standards, but "PROFICIENT"...no matter how you slice it, is FAILING.

For example, the PROFICIENT standard for the 8th grade math Ohio Achievement Assessment (OAA) ranges from 35%- 59%.
PROFICIENT IS NOT ENOUGH! The status quo has not been enough.

The time is now to bring forward new ways of evaluating OUR children that no longer rely upon grading on a curve to obtain the desired results. Tougher, realistic standards upset the status quo, but INFLATED STANDARDS rob our children of True Achievement and Potential.

WE BELIEVE, as our School Super Mr. Petrey believes:

Where the board's at right now is wanting the highest academic achievement and fiscal responsibility, Petrey said, "That's what I stand for."

And That Means that WE BELIEVE in the highest level of support for the Absolutely Amazing Progress made by our current board and school district leaders in the past two years.

And exactly how did you come to your conclusion that Mr. Malone ran this high school like a union shop, making up classes with scant demand to ensure employment for those whose skills were not in demand. Are you saying that students didn’t request classes that were offered? Are you saying that the students shouldn’t have an input in the classes they take and that only those classes that are completely filled should be offered? Do you really think that every class will always be filled to capacity? Do you really think that student’s schedules are so flexible that if they want one specific class that they should only have one time to take it. Where do you draw the line with student’s class requests? What about the PSEO students – they shouldn’t be allowed to take a class just because they are out of the school half of the day? If only ten students want the new Constitution class – will it be offered just to fill the demands of the board? If twenty students want the Constitution class but ten take PSEO in the morning and the other ten take PSEO in the afternoon, how will it be scheduled? Would you complain if two classes were offered, each with only 10 students?
Get a clue – scheduling classes is not easy, fulfilling class requests from students is not easy, and trying to fill all classes to capacity is especially not easy. All Springboro students are not alike, they all have different interests and different needs. If they didn’t and all students took the same classes, it would be a really boring learning environment.

The way we see it, ALL school employees should have the opportunity to "move on up" the ladder of success when their POTENTIAL is recognized by their superiors, and greater job responsibility is offered, IF the school employee is willing to change their old way of thinking about the NEW direction in which our children's 21st Century classroom education is moving ahead, for a better future for our schools and community.

The way we see it, The Lone Malone's Fear of CHANGE, and his doubts that he was not a good FIT with the internal changes and changes at the state level in our 21st century education, caused him to turn into a bitter old man, seeking revenge AGAINST board members Kelly Kohls, Jim Rigano, and David Petroni, simply because the board members were working together to implement the new State Laws and conducting our local school district business in line with our own school district by-laws and policies.

The way we see it, the best thing that those who care about
preserving a shred of Mr. Malone's reputation as a professioal education could do in Mr. Malone's best interest is to advise him to simple stop these attacks of revenge against board members Jim Rigano and David Petroni and and step aside so that this school district can have a Recall on the November 5th election of our insanely popular in the community has been a high school principal with a very POOR performance review.

"It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change." - Charles Darwin

The time has now come to REJECT LONE MALONE, who has proven to community taxpayers by his pre-arranged performance at last week's school board meeting, that he will never CHANGE his vote for revenge AGAINST our STUDENTS/FIRST - RESPONSIBLE BUDGETING school board members; and he will never change the subject of politics of personal destruction against board members, who are NOT Retired Educators, Mr. Anderson, Mr. Rigano, and Mr. Petroni.

We can't just INVEST in status quo... We MUST invest in our reform minded VISION of our current board members and our Super Mr. Petrey and school district leaders.

Let's Stay the Course in Full Support of the progress made in the past TWO years and Renewal levy that saves taxpayers $6.5 million!
