Springboro increases online resources for students & teachers...

With a $1.1 million investment in technology and wireless access, a new curriculum pilot project for sixth through eighth grade and an online dual credit opportunity for high school students to begin in January, Springboro Community City Schools is taking significant steps to create a 21st Century learning environment for students...

HOORAY FOR US! We are on our Way...

And that's Just Super! Thanks to our Superintendent, Mr. Petrey and his staff,
and the great Team Work of our current BOE,
Mr. Petroni, Mr. Rigano, Mr. Miller, Mrs. Kohls,
and Mrs. Kull!

This isn't even worth my time anymore. Educate Springboro is a vile, self-serving organization. It probably started out with good intentions, but their egos got the best of them. Only a handful of people even give them (you?) the time of day anymore. They make my skin crawl. Their time has long since passed, and no amount of money can bring them back. It took far too long for Springboro to see through their insanity, but fortunately we did and we can put it behind us.

By the way, your excessive use of exclamation marks and all caps does not make me buy in to the things you're saying any more than a simple declarative sentence would. Just because you try to make it sound interesting does not make it so. Your constant repetition of the few things that the board did well doesn't help either. Any school board can do those things. It takes a BETTER (all caps) school board to do those things while at the same time respecting its teachers, letting those who know education make curriculum decisions, not wasting money on some charter school, not entering into contracts with clear conflicts of interest, treating PTOs with respect, etc.

But...

HOORAY FOR US!!! WE''RE ON OUR WAY!

And that's Just Super! Thanks to our newly elected school board, WE CAN MOVE FORWARD!!

Inquiring minds question Mr. Malone's "adaptability" to the internal changes and the changes at the state level; since he
acknowledged publicly in a May 2013 interview that he was
not sure that his status quo philosophy was as effective
as it was in 2000 when he was employed as principal.

However, with the strong leadership of our current board, and the business man, Charles Anderson, coming on board, the future looks optimistic for Mr. Malone to raise the bar of his leadership skills to our reform minded vision of our Students First 21st Century education. It is very difficult for older educators to grasp the belief that the future belongs to technology; but
IF Mr. Malone chooses to support our current board's broader vision for our children's future; then we are all optimistic that
Mr. Malone can become a productive member of the FIVE member BOE,
working effectively with our school superintendent, Mr. Petry, and our school district staff!

Contrary to Mr. Malone's leadership style as building principal, serving our schools and community on the school board is NOT a
one-man show; Mr. Malone may have to try harder to learn how to
work effectively with others, accountable to ALL. Question is:
Does Mr. Malone want to succeed as an effective Team Player, doing what's right for our school children and community? Unfortunately,
Mr. Malone already lost his chance to make a good "first impression" in the board room, when he pre-arranged his status quo business as usual performance in front of the TV news, bullying our BOE president, at the last school board business meeting.

"It is our attitude at the beginning of a difficult task which, more than anything else, will affect its successful outcome."

Do you always talk in circles? You never even address things that are said on here. You just repeat yourself endlessly. It's real long becoming tiresome.

Ron Malone will be an excellent board member, as will Stuckey and Anderson. And I would have LOVED to have been there to see him put Kohls in her place when she YET AGAIN tried to get one if her cronies' paws into our schools.

HOORAY FOR DR. MALONE! He's on his way to becoming an excellent board member. And That's Just Super!

....in the direction of opportunity!

When we combine common sense spending with the strong performance of our schools, we provide
OPPORTUNITIES for everyone--Our Students, Our Teachers, Our Families, and Our Community!

From the district's aging computers, buses and buildings to new Common Core currriculum and
RISING EXPECTATIONS WITH NEW STANDARDS, testing, evaluation systems, the status quo is not equipped to meet the challenges that our school district faces.

Educate Springboro reaches past the status quo. As we examine district operations and use achievement data, we are creating OPPORTUNITY,
directing more resources to students and more tools to TEACHERS.

"Where the board's at right now is wanting the highest academic achievement and fiscal responsibility," school superintendent Mr. Petrey said in a DDN interview, "That's what I stand for."

State test results show after EIGHT years in our district's educational system, only 32% of our children were able to score 75% or better on Ohio Achievement Assessment math tests.

We can no longer afford to invest in "status quo!"

The future of our schools and our community depend upon investment in a reform-minded vision for our
children's 21st century quality classroom education.

It's NOT the year 2000 in 2014; And Mr. Malone should not waste taxpayers time and money by trying to re-define the role of the BOE member,
trying to FIT his failed leadership practices of the past 13 years into our children's 21st century classroom education!

Inquiring minds would question whether Ron Malone is "adaptable to change" But he will be working among pofessionals, including Mr.Petrey, Mr. Rigano, Mr. Petroni, and Mr.Anderson, who have the expertise from which he CAN learn, IF he can lose the "petty" attitude that he showed at last board meeting. And IF he ever learns to make a public comment OR ask a question regarding an agenda item WITHOUT calling the TV News Camera Man to make sure that HE keeps Springboro Schools in the news.

In the May 2013 interview, Mr. Malone expressed doubt that his professional "effectiveness" and strengths of the past 41 years of education experience, was as good a fit today (in our 21st century
classroom education) as it was when he came to work here in 2000.

The Voters believe that Mr. Malone can learn to work well with Mr. Rigano, Mr. Petroni, Mr. Anderson, and Mr. Stuckey, committed to ensurin that he children of the Springboro Community receive an excellent educton while keeping the costs of that education
affordable by caefully adhering to responsible spending.

DO YOU BELIEVE MR. MALONE CAN MOVE AHEAD OF STATUS QUO TUNNEL VISION AND MEET THE CHALLENGE OF OUR SCHOOL DISTRICT'S REFORM MINDED VISION FOR OUR CHILDREN, OUR SCHOOLS, AND OUR COMMUNITY? SCHED >

If there is a sense of turbulence in our communty, it has been manufactured by those who oppose change, wish to suffocate debates they would lose, and return to the days of endless levies,
puntive actions against our citizens, and never ending financial emergencies within the district.

We've built a financial foundatin on the principle f fiscal rsponsibility. We'll continue to make changes that make sense;
for example, eliminating underutilized courses to fill needs in other areas. We won't continue relationships with service providers that don't provide the best value just because working with them has been past practice. We'll demand integrity from everyone we work with from Boosters to Vendors, from Students to
Administrators. Common sense, ethics and sound financial decisions guide Educate Springboro. The fear of change will not chase our community back into the darkness of previously failed practices. Let's stay on this new course nd move in the direction of leadership for our children, schools and comunity.

No Spin -- Just Reality of Looking at Today and the Future !

Here's how it is OUTSIDE the Tunnel Vision of the Union Halls
of retired educators, Ron Malone and David Stuckey.

Does the Blah blah blah community for S-U-R-E know that Ron Malone LOST his vote for revenge AGAINST our Children's First Budgeting
reform-minded board representatives?

Ron Malone ran his campaign for school board election on the assumption that his name recognition of being insanely popular in the community would prove him to be Number ONE, and....

Mr. Malone FAILED in the most important November 5th popularity contest at the polls... as the number of votes for Principal Ron FELL behind the People's Choice of Educate Springboro's Number ONE choice of Charles Anderson!

The landslide for CHARLES ANDERSON as NUMBER ONE is PROOF
that Voters TRUSTED Educate Springboro's good judgement
of endorsing successful businessman, CHARLES ANDERSON, as
the Most Likely to Succeed as an Effective Students First/
Responsible Budgeting Board of Education representative!

The landslide for CHARLES ANDERSON as NUMBER ONE and the
overwhelming support for Renewal Levy that saves taxpayers $6.5 million is reason for all Spingboro families and taxpaying homeowners to shout out a note of Thanks and Appreciation to
our current board members, Mrs. Kohls, Mr. Rigano, Mr. Petroni,

Bitner and Vaughn were absolutely correct in that they had no business in attending any debate sponsored by the SEA. Our household has children in Springboro's schools and we have witnessed years upon years of manipulation on the part of the teachers union. I pity the blind befuddled parents of district students who supported Malone and Anderson especially. Congratulations! You have just been U-S-E-D!! Be sure you don't forget to give your kids great big union-indoctrinating hugs and kisses before they turn in tonight!
Agreed, This union control just went into warp speed. One teacher even wore a Superman costume on Wednesday and when students asked why she said I can't tell you. Wow talk about bullying. She obviously had a message that was loud and clear but knew the students would ask around and all wonder and then someone else would tell them it is because the new messiah is back. Although he will be asleep in the board room for 4 years and they(the union) can run the show again.

Wow, I can't believe these Springboro parents are so uninformed to let these nasty teachers teach their kids without supervision and support for kids first, your kids will be constantly taught that socialism = communism is the best way. They don't even know they are being indoctrinated they are slowly being made into soldiers for the Tyrant Obama and these unsuspecting parents are sleeping.

Blah blah blah "protesteth" too much in defense of their insanely popular, retired (again) high school princiPAL... but why?

Is anyone else really disgusted by the teachers behavior over the last year?
Threatening to strike if they did not get enormous raises. Demanding that Springboro not roll back taxes as they may not get these enormous raises every year? Disturbing the kids during the OGT testing because their inept leader was asked to transfer? They had not a second thought about working kids into a frenzy for no reason on all 5 levy campaigns. They could not care less about these kids but worked them over to get their votes for this same inept leader and even worse a really bad teacher and a follower of the same.
Playing politics in the classroom? My kids are in there getting worked over everyday. I am a so angry as I walk into these buildings every day. I may smile but I am looking at pure evil.
These newly elected union workers anoly makes this worse and will not mend any divide but will increase it. I hope these voters learn what they just did.

Just Wondering if other Springboro parents received the same "flyer" in the mail, the day after the school board election, that we receved.
This is a very informative flyer, paid for by Doug Wiedeman, private citizen, just asking the questions and finding the answers.

The True History of a Man Through Official Documents Written by Third Party Observers.
It is not as golden as you have been led to believe.

As the man who led our school district as high school principal for 13 years, Ron Malone held a special place of trust, authority, and influence in our community. How he chose to use those gifts is revealed in the PUBLIC RECORDS REPORTS of his professional peer reviewers, his superiors, and his own public pronouncements.....

This flyer provides details of Mr. Malone's failed practices during the 2010-2013 years of his employment... and ends with the conclusion that

Mr. Malone ran this high school like a union shop, making up classes with scant demand to ensure employment for those whose skills were not in demand. This tactic robbed resources from areas of greater need in the district. Those who suffered the most were the gifted and those in need of early intervention.

HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED IN SPRINGBORO HIGH SCHOOL RIGHT UNDER OUR NOSES...AND WE NEVER KNEW
THAT THIS INSANELY POPULAR RON MALONE WAS REALLY A PROFESSIONAL EDUCATIONAL HYPOPCRITE?

Inquiring minds wonder how this information made public in Mr. Malone's campaign flyers would have influenced the November 5th school board election?

I received the flyer before the election. What you all fail to realize is that the board wanted to get rid of Malone, so they ensured his review was as negative as they could possibly make it. Why did he not implement board policies quickly enough? BECAUSE THE POLICIES SUCKED! Kudos for him for standing up for what was right for the kids and if that resulted in some negative verbiage on his eval, so be it. These are the kinds of things that the community is on to and sees RIGHT THROUGH now - and the the reason that the KPR/Wiedeman candidates, Bitner and Vaughn, were massacred.

This cracks me up!!! First of all, it was not a popularity contest. Malone, Stuckey, and Anderson just wanted all three of them to win. The fact that Anderson had the highest number of votes is indicative of the fact that you all put him on your signs too!!! You guys were SO afraid of Malone that you endorsed Anderson. So, yes, mathematically speaking, that's what put Anderson over the top, and I couldn't be more thrilled! Did I think Malone would garner the highest number of votes? Yes. Until you all told your side to vote for him also and then it was clear Anderson would. He was an excellent candidate and deserving.

By the way, you don't need to keep thanking the current school board (yourself?) and the mediocre "super." We get it.
