Don't be ridiculous. VOTE David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn AND Anderson for the third spot.(the lesser of the two evils, Stuckey and Malone)
NOT voting Anderson into the 3rd spot risks Stuckey or Malone getting in.
Don't be so pompous! How ridiculous to arrogantly think that endorsement of Anderson "locks him into third place."

No Doubt the Malone/Stuckey supporters have got the common sense to recognize that in order to get their TWO guys in the second and third slot; that their opposition voting for Anderson will easily put Anderson in the Top slot, with malone and stuckey trailing in second and third; and the TWO conservative candidates will be shoved down to fourth and fifth place.

Isn't that really what this ridiculous strategy of pushing the third vote for the opposition is all about?....and that's an
uncertain strategy thing for our students first, and a boro scary thing for the future of our schools and community.

There are a number of people saying if you donít vote for 3 people you are leaving chips on the table. That is simply not true; you are taking chips off the table and out of play. Why throw chips at the other side when there is no need. I would hate to find B/V in 4th and 5th place when we could have taken chips off the table one of them could have placed 3rd. Now personally I would love to see Anderson instead of M or S; but not at the cost of a seat for B or V
You betcha that voting for the opposition increases the risk
of Malone/Stuckey/Anderson winning the three keys to the board room, and sneeringly slamming the door in the faces of our two conservatative candidates! Nothing would promote the solidarity of unionism more!

Stay Alert Voters! Only YOU can prevent being pulled into the
union's ring of ridicule on November 5th? Why would any independent thinking conservative "trust" the endorsement of
the opposition; when it's detriment to electing BOTH conservative candidates is so clearly shown?

No more than two days later Patroni and Rigano just so happened to appear in front of Care-flight field talking about it. As Paul Harvey would say.......and now you know the rest of the story!
That is a little self serving. The truth is Mr. Harves stopped by the school treasurer's office to drop off a check for $142,000 then wondered down to the police department to speak with the nice men in blue.

Only the persistent efforts of the Budget and Finance Committee attempting to discover the true cost of sports in our community brought this affair to light.

Myriads of people had been telling Mr. Harves to cooperate with the Budget and Finance Committee to prove the Boosters program was on the up and up. From January until he cracked in June this went on and on each week until the jig was up.

One name that again is conspicuously absent is the man who was charged with overseeing the fund raising efforts of the support organizations representing his high school, Mr. Malone.

You did not hear Mr. Malone's full throated voiced ringing out in support of transparency for the school district or for the children whose funds were stolen for years on end, quite the contrary, his silence spoke volumes.

The man vested with all of the trust and influence in the school community chose to side with the crooks and encourage noncompliance with the Budget and Finance Committee by remaining publicly silent on the issue.

Another Profile in Courage moment for Mr. Malone.

Simply that if you look at the other schools (the one's in the top 10) They have less of a student to teacher ration (one is 14:1, ours is 20:1). I did notice not one charter school in the top 5 (didn't check after that). Oakwood is 9th in the state. Ask them what they pay in taxes.
I found this on their website:
"Most recently, the school district passed a new 5.75 mill operating levy in November, 2010, with a 62% positive vote and a 1.8 mill Permanent Improvement Renewal Levy in March, 2012, with 72% approval."
And they have another levy on the ballot Tuesday:
"The next test will come Nov. 5, when the district will be on the ballot for a 5.75-mill levy that would cost the owner of a $200,000 home an additional $403 per year."
Kind of answers why Springboro is 97, we don't pass school levys.
Therefore it stands to reason that if we want to be in the top 10 in the state. We need to start investing in our children.

It was never about the money, it was about the will to raise the level of expectations and the incumbent changes necessary to drive the level of achievement higher.

Mr. Malone year after year was encouraged to raise the bar, he responded just the opposite.

Mr. Malone spent inordinate amounts of time attempting to get more money from the community.

Ten years ago it was noted by David Baker, then Superintendent, on Mr. Malone's performance evaluation summary:

"Dr. Malone has been a strong supporter of our bond levy and continues to devote large amounts of time to this project"

If only he would have paid as much attention to the High Schools That Works recommendations on improving our schools.

Even David Baker was pushing for more rigor in our high school.

In August 2008, one of the goals he gave Mr. Malone was to increase the amount of participation in our A/P program.

#11) Increase student enrollment in rigorous courses (AP and Honors) by 15%.

I think everyone knows how that goal turned out.

The Warren County Education Service Center audit report from December 2010 had this to say:

"Although SHS offers numerous AP courses and PSEO options, only 20 percent students report they attempted to earn college credit during high school. This is a DECREASE of 43 percent from 2008, and 60 percent below the HSTW goal. See Table 8. "

We Believe for too long our leadership was not motivated, content with the status quo, leaving too many children underserved. The direction we head is now sustainable, it offers balance, and it states the truth.

We believe in order to deliver the highest level of education we must raise the bar well past the state minimums and stive to challenge our children, parents, and staff to reach higher.

We believe that allocating resources from areas of less demand to areas of greater demand is one common sense approach to resolving needs in our schools.

We believe that in order to take advantage of the higher level classes at the high school, more children must be put on that track at earlier grade levels.

You know, it's funny how so many on this site are adamant about making sure Bitner and Vaughn are voted in but yet nothing about who they are and what makes them such a good candidate. Can they think for themselves or are they just going to do as they are told from Petroni and Rigano? A real man can talk for himself but I don't see anything that says Bitner and Vaughn have a mind of their own.

Also, if Vaughn's mother in law was a school librarian, then wouldn't she have ties to the union and by DW's standards make Vaughn a union thug? HMMM...

DW, you continually complain about Dr. Malone but have you taken a look at the high school lately. We have an incompetent administration. They actually spent 10-15 minutes interrupting class because they couldn't figure out why the intercom was beeping. Myers actually talked over the intercom admitting they had no idea why it was beeping so he continued to talk for a while then spent many minutes with his hand on the button so everyone could hear what was going on in the office. This is ridiculous!

As for the education that our students are getting, do you really think that the work that this board is doing is going to benefit the students? They have made plans now to move forward with online classes as a work around for educating the more than 400 extra students that are coming up to the HS over the next couple of years. Do you really think that online classes where students cannot easily interject their opinions is improving their critical thinking? This board spent weeks/months regarding the debate that controversial topics be discussed from all sides but now we are going to accept online classes where we have no say in the matter. Again, this board is ONLY focused on money and now the students!

According tothe campaign flyer for the Malone/Suckey/Anderson school board candidates,
voters are told nothing about these three men, except "It's Simple." The way forward is clear.
Leadership! Stability! Experience!

The campaign flyer informs voters that, if elected, we pledge together to:

Promote solidarity in our community, our board and our schools.

Redefine the role of a school board member.

Work to build internal school district unity.

Expand educatinal opportunities for students.

Protect the needs, interests and concerns of our whole community.
_______

Wake Up People! We need a BOE that actually cares about the student's education!

Why would our community vote for a Malone/Stuckey/
Anderson threesome that is not a good fit with our 21st Century Education Today and in the Future; and who "pledges" they will have to re-define the role of the BOE in order to
re-instate Malone's status quo?
(Wake up People! We don't need more malone stats quo "business as usual" wasting time and school tax dollars sitting around eating donuts, talking about the "way we

STAY ALERT VOTERS! We need a BOE that actually cares about the student's education!
We need to elect BOTH David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn as our next TWO, Parents supporting Springboro students, school board representatives.

BOTH David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn are already on board with the current board's winning agenda of
putting students first, and BOTH David Bitner and

BOTH David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn have a clear vision of themselves, being successful with the will and the skill, in the role of a reform minded BOE member, and BOTH
David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn are a perfect fit
with the challenges that lie ahead in our 21st Century quality classroom education for all

BOTH David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn are Boro

Obviously you have don't understand online class instruction delivery. It is now a creditable method of instruction and utilized by most major universities. Students are able to interject their opinions in online classes. They get prompt feedback from instructors, comment on classmates post (i.e. opinions), and in many online classes they can even have live classroom discussions. This is not just students sitting in front of a computer screen reading words. It offers flexibility in instruction and is being embraced by youth/college students who have grown up with technology.

Again, this represents another innovative idea by the BOE and current administration that the MSA supporters will poo-poo just because it wasn't an idea from their side. Do you get it, times are a changing and old methods of educating just don't cut it. Brick and mortar buildings, students sitting at desks, and teachers standing in the front of the class is quickly becoming the way of the past. Problem is, many of those who can vote on Tuesday do not know any other way.

Wake up! We currently do have a BOE who cares about a student's education!

This is the best that you have to offer as evidence of incompetence?

Let's talk about real levels of incompetence that matter in running our school and not providing the level of education the taxpayers were expecting for the money they gave.

Even Superintendent David Baker was pushing for more rigor in our high school.

In August 2008, one of the goals he gave Mr. Malone was to increase the amount of participation in our A/P program.

"#11) Increase student enrollment in rigorous courses (AP and Honors) by 15%."
I think everyone knows how that goal turned out.

Mr. Baker asked for a 15% increase in 2008, Mr. Malone delivered a 43% DECREASE two years later.

Let us discuss various levels of incompetence and which one negatively impacted children the most.

Vote for the three who had nothing to do with dumbing down our high school curriculum.

Vote Bitner, Vaughn, and Anderson.
