Nope they don't "suck" as your command of the english language comes out in it's full glory.
Simply that if you look at the other schools (the one's in the top 10) They have less of a student to teacher ration (one is 14:1, ours is 20:1). I did notice not one charter school in the top 5 (didn't check after that). Oakwood is 9th in the state. Ask them what they pay in taxes.
I found this on their website:
"Most recently, the school district passed a new 5.75 mill operating levy in November, 2010, with a 62% positive vote and a 1.8 mill Permanent Improvement Renewal Levy in March, 2012, with 72% approval."
And they have another levy on the ballot Tuesday:
"The next test will come Nov. 5, when the district will be on the ballot for a 5.75-mill levy that would cost the owner of a $200,000 home an additional $403 per year."
Kind of answers why Springboro is 97, we don't pass school levys.
Therefore it stands to reason that if we want to be in the top 10 in the state. We need to start investing in our children.
Don't You Mean By... "To start investing" we have to re-instate Malone's failed practices of union first, offering only Symbolism with no Substance of Raising the bar for students and teachers?

Why would our community wish to go back to a continuous stream of BOE promoted tax increases for union financial gain first; when our Children's First Budgeting Works in the best interest of all students, school employees, and community taxpayers?

Our school district doesn't need more money for a quality classroom education for all students; we need more accountability!
Now that we know the WASTE of OUR HARD EARNED MONEY during the
time of Dr. Malone's employment as high school principal, concerned citizens cannot allow school district leaders to get
that embedded in their own comfort zone and fail to challenge their staff nor their students. Mr. Malone was so empowered as
the insanely popular education god of false doctrine, that he falsely accused a taxpayer of sitting in HIS parking lot watching HIS staff. On November 5th, this community needs to vote with their eyes wide open, and just say NO more of Ron Malone's status quo tunnel vision.

Fiscal responsibility and highest academic achievement is what our new school district administrators stand for; Now all we need is to elect David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn as our next two TEAM PLAYERS who are already on board with our current board's
reform minded vision for our students 21st Century Quality Classroom Education (including on line learning coming up soon).

Taxpayers have INVESTED heavily in education; and now we have to
hold our school district administrators and building principals accountable to the taxpayers to get the job done right, and
we are on our way to victory...

Please join us in voting for David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn as our next two school board representatives!

Please join us in voting for our school renewal levy that saves taxpayers $6.5 million.

It's for our children, our community and toward a better future for our schools!

Gee wiz this board was honest and up front with their community? You say the police in Springboro told this board not to be honest with their community and to sweep everything under the rug? Did you get this from the police or just who told you that? If so than the police are a part of the problem. Why do you throw the police3 under the bus? I am sure they told them of this sort and why would they? Come on will you say anything that is the truth?
Gee wiz
The police didn't ask the school board to be dishonest you idiot! After the booster discovered they has been ripped off they went to the police.....in return the police asked all parties, including the school board, to refrain from going public until after their investigation was complete. No more than two days later Patroni and Rigano just so happened to appear in front of Care-flight field talking about it. As Paul Harvey would say.......and now you know the rest of the story!

DAVID PETRONI & JIM RIGANO endorse BITNER, VAUGHN and ANDERSON

http://educatespringboro.org/2013/10/23/in-th...

...Educate Springboro supports a slate of three candidates, Charles Anderson, David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn for Springboro Board of Education. David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn bring their perspective as parents, taxpayers and concerned citizens to provide more balance in board perspectives. We are also confident that with the addition of the business acumen Charles Anderson has accumulated in his many years of service to the community, our district can continue to be sustainable. Keeping our students as the first priority, supporting our teachers, and being the voice of the community in public education is our goal. The addition of Anderson, Bitner, and Vaughn aid us all in accomplishing that goal.

Educate Springboro is also FOR the renewal. Issue 14 is a reduced renewal levy. In good faith, we’ve balanced the budget and met our obligations. When it became clear that the district could meet its needs with less money, the board voted to request lower millage in the renewal levy in November. Not only have we proven that we can live within our means, but now every stakeholder in this district—our students and families, our staff and teachers, and the taxpayers--will benefit.

Please join Educate Springboro in voting

FOR DAVID BITNER for School Board, and

FOR KOLTON VAUGHN for School Board, and

FOR CHARLES ANDERSON for School Board, and

FOR ISSUE 14 for our school district.

David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn For
Springboro School Board!

Achievement and opportunity gaps at the SHS cannot be closed unless a climate of high expectations exists for all students from Kindergarten through High School. Staying within the fiscal confies that our taxpayers have set is the challenge and requires fresh ideas.

Fresh ideas have allowed our district to sustain itself in an uncertain economy with NO new money required.

David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn are Parents
Supporting Springboro Students who support the progress made in the past two years and support the renewal levy that saves taxpayers $6.5 million!

We can't just invest in the status quo; We have to invest in a vision of reform. BOTH David Bitner
and Kolton Vaughn, if elected as our next TWO board representatives, will continue to challenge the status quo where need be...putting our students first, while maintaing fiscal integrity.

If you believe that leveraging school fees, services, personnel decisions, safety, or infrastructure maintenance to threaten families in order to influence regular or levy elections is wrong...

Please join with those on November 5th and

To say that we need to start investing in our children is to presume that we don't already. It's simply not true. If this line of reasoning were true DC would have the greatest schools on the planet as they spend over $29,000/student. Yet, they are among the worst in the nation. Socio-economic disparities have more to do with poor student performance than failure to pass levies.
I don't think our schools suck. But, I think calling them "excellent" is overstating things…a lot! That's the problem with using a curve to compare schools. It doesn't tell you the whole picture of the ACTUAL scores that kids are getting on tests. Look no further than all the numbers Mr, Weideman has posted for the gory details. It's a travesty to say that 30% correct on any core subject is considered "proficient" simply because other schools scored worse than yours.

School District Boater (whatever that name means..?)

sounds like the definition of a fanatic --

one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject.

Read MY lips...
you can lead your personal campaign in the direction of manipulating voters to see your way as the only way to go;
you can put YOUR money where YOUR mouth is;
you can endorse, but NOT force, your Vote for Three down the throats of those who stand firmly on principles of
voting for just TWO.

Life Is Good in Springboro.... and it is my belief that
electing BOTH our conservative school board candidates as our next TWO board representatives... will make life in Springboro BETTER,
than voting for one of the opposition!
...That's a free speech thing that should be celebrated by each voter; and voters should not be badgered, ridiculed, or pressured to vote in any way, except our belief. God Bless America!

NOT voting Anderson into the 3rd spot risks Stuckey or Malone getting in.

There are a number of people saying if you don’t vote for 3 people you are leaving chips on the table. That is simply not true; you are taking chips off the table and out of play. Why throw chips at the other side when there is no need. I would hate to find B/V in 4th and 5th place when we could have taken chips off the table one of them could have placed 3rd. Now personally I would love to see Anderson instead of M or S; but not at the cost of a seat for B or V

Don't be so pompous! How ridiculous to arrogantly think that endorsement of Anderson "locks him into third place."

No Doubt the Malone/Stuckey supporters have got the common sense to recognize that in order to get their TWO guys in the second and third slot; that their opposition voting for Anderson will easily put Anderson in the Top slot, with malone and stuckey trailing in second and third; and the TWO conservative candidates will be shoved down to fourth and fifth place.

Isn't that really what this ridiculous strategy of pushing the third vote for the opposition is all about?....and that's an
uncertain strategy thing for our students first, and a boro scary thing for the future of our schools and community.

btw- one definition of pompous is ... self-important or self-satisfied person.

You betcha that voting for the opposition increases the risk
of Malone/Stuckey/Anderson winning the three keys to the board room, and sneeringly slamming the door in the faces of our two conservatative candidates! Nothing would promote the solidarity of unionism more!

Stay Alert Voters! Only YOU can prevent being pulled into the

the opposition; when it's detriment to electing BOTH conservative candidates is so clearly shown?
