I suggest you make an appointment to drive to UC, UD, Wright State or Sinclair to speak with one of the more experienced admissions counselors. If you are able to locate someone who isn't jaded, someone who can look you in the eye and isn't afraid to speak the truth, they'll tell you the percentages you forwarded are absolute fabrication. Sinclair's moneyload is their DEV math and reading, Please, don't think there isn't a healthy representation of Boro graduates "having to sit through DEV courses" before they are permitted to enter their respective majors.<quoted text>

I suppose it's more important to examine the bigger question, which is...
Who really gives a flying fudge about Tiffany Carlisle?
#28439 Oct 30, 2013
You Betcha I'm Nervous!
Why the panic? Because Tiffany Carlisle has got her hooks into one of the conservative school board candidates, and could successfully
split the conservative ticket of Bitner/Vaughn!
Yelling fire is the only thing that innocent bystanders can do;
only the "professionals" who are alerted are skilled with resources to answer the call to jump into the ring of fire and put a stop to it!

Wow, the proponderance of excuses is endless! This is the USNEWS that was cited by Doug (and again, he is wrong). I suppose those at UC, UD and Wright State know SO much more than other colleges in the area. These percentages are based on numbers and no matter how flawed 98% is 98%.
I like how you give yourself the out by saying "someone who can look you in the eye and isn't afraid to speak the truth". That way if someone is found and you don't agree with them you can just call them names.
Typical on this board really.
It seems that people here are either:
Begging for votes.
Yelling the sky is falling.
Calling posters names.
Chicken Litte's, Name Caller's and Beggers OH MY!

Extremists, radicals, fanatics! Sounds like a scary Halloween tale. Add in the words “tea party” and that’s supposed to make it a true horror story. Unfortunately, this is where some in our community have taken the dialog surrounding our school board and the upcoming election. It’s time for Toto to pull back the curtain and for us to elevate the conversation.
For the record, I do believe in limited government, fiscal responsibility, and free markets. I also believe that a free society requires virtuous people and that children need to learn these concepts. How confusing it must be for them to watch the behavior of adults and the tenor of the debate around our schools.
What has the school board done to invite this wrath? We are trying to change things in a few areas and the system would rather not change. Just like in Washington, opponents to change assign their targets what they believe are derogatory labels - "tea party", "extremist", "fanatic". However, if you were to ask what has been done that is "fanatical", you’ll get nothing more than generalities that have little basis in fact and are distorted to sound extreme.
If you asked me about the school board’s record over the last two years I would tell you about holding people accountable, uncovering embezzlement that had gone on for years, raising academic standards, increasing ACT scores, advocating for kids to take classes for college credit, restoring salary increases, controlling runaway medical insurance costs, balancing the budget (and giving the excess back), providing services for gifted students, reducing pay-to-play fees and increasing student participation, upgrading technology for online learning, instituting bring your own technology, reinstating high school busing, reinstating textbook purchases, reinstating a building maintenance program, and correcting numerous other deficiencies from years of administrative neglect.
You might recognize these things are good and are already implemented in other districts and ask why has it taken so long to address them in Springboro? I don’t know, but compared to the lethargic past, this has been a pretty “radical” two years. And to do all this while lowering taxes you would have to conclude these two years have been “fanatically” amazing and “extremely” successful.
At this point you might ask what this has to do with the upcoming school board election. This election will set a direction, backward or forward. The supporters of Malone and Stuckey tell you the current board is too “extreme”. Compared to the stagnation they are accustomed to, that is understandable. The other candidates are David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn. They are parents with young children enrolled in the district who are motivated to encourage our schools to continue to innovate, to offer more opportunities, and to keep children the board’s first priority.
On November 5th, we will make a decision. Will we choose based on the record, or the labels?

DO YOU BELIEVE....
That Government should be Fiscally Responsible?
That Government should be limited in size & scope?
That we should support Free Markets?
IF SO, then please consider this...
On November 5th, VOTE YOUR BELIEFS!
Our only TWO conservative school board candidates
BELIEVE in these founding principles, and IF ELECTED, will keep our local school government MINDFUL of these three fundamental tenets.
According to the Bitner/Vaughn campaign flyer
received in the mail:
BITNER/VAUGHN BELIEVE over taxation of the taxpayers is wrong!
BITNER/VAUGHN BELIEVE in supporting the amount of necessary taxation required to do the job correctly!
BITNER/VAUGHN BELIEVE that excess tax money in any government body tends to inspire creative ways to spend that money.
BITNER/VAUGHN BELIEVE transparency, from budgeting to policy formulation to meetings, leads to good governance in all levels of government.
People in this community need to ask themselves
WHY some voters are working to SPLIT the conservative ticket of BITNER/VAUGHN, putting at risk the election of David Bitner?
Why is school board member Don Miller endorsing
conservative school board candidate, Kolton Vaughn; but slamming the board room door in the face of conservative school board candidate,

And there lies the problem. Looks like the B/V supporters are shaking in their boots. Wonder how many 'For Sale' signs we will see on Nov. 6th if they loose.
A mindset like this is a big part of the problem.
No matter who wins, the sun will rise Nov. 6th. Scare tactics in politics DO NOT WORK. Ask Romney.
#28448 Oct 30, 2013
No need even with all the MALONEY signs, B/V win.
#28449 Oct 30, 2013

Scare Tactics in politics is the only thing that works, as was proven in 2012 presidential election. Ask Romney. Wars are not won by kind words and placation, and neither are elections; thus the saying goes... nice guys finish last.
Republicans are beat down by liberal badgering and bullying
and become fearful of loosing elections IF they do not become
more like their Democrat opposition; more and more the line between the Two parties is blurred; and the only ones looking in from the outside, seeing the truth, are personally attacked and politically persecuted; and it is just a matter of time till
"responding with polite resistance" just breaks down the will to stand opposed to the liberal's progressive agenda; and Ohio is one of the most oppressed states by the union's progressive controlling agenda -- and it's all LEGAL!
The union has the Money and the Power of Politics in Ohio...
The SEA has the power of politics in our school district;
but at least since 2008, the voters have had the common sense
of voting to keep control of our school tax dollars; failing five unnecessary levies and voting for Children's First school board
members in both the elections of 2009 and 2011.
Voters in this school district have seen through the emotional blackmailing and spreading of lies that the SEA/union activists continuously spread in attacking Springboro Taxpayers and our conservative elected BOE members; and no doubt the business as usual Malone status quo attacks against Taxpayers will not change, no matter in which direction the school board election goes.
There is encouragement in the November 5th election that our
Renewal Levy will pass, and a double encouragement to taxpaying homeowners that we do have TWO school board candidates who support
our Children First budgeting agenda, that are "down in the trenches" fighting with taxpayers at the polls to vote their
beliefs in electing these two common sense/fiscal responsible
candidates, David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn, as our next TWO
board representatives. No matter who wins, responsible citizens will continue the fight against the Union, ensuring FIRST a quality classroom education for all Springboro students, while
living within our community means of "no new taxes."

David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn FOR
Springboro School Board
Achievement and opportunity gaps at the SHS cannot be closed unless a climate of high expectations exists for all students from Kindergarten through High School. Staying within the fiscal confines that our taxpayers have set is the challenge and requires fresh ideas.
The January 2013 Warren County Educational Service Center audit report performed by professional educators reviewing our high school program of studies had this to say regarding the direction MR. MALONE STEERED THE ACADEMIC PROGRAM:
"Documents provided to the Tactical Assistance Visit Team indicate that contrary to the High Schools That Work philosophy (high schools that work is a program to enhance education for children)SHS BELIEVES THAT OFFERING LOW LEVEL COURSES IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF STUDENTS.
This belief, however, WAS NOT SUBSTANTIATED by
research or data."
DAVID BITNER and KOLTON VAUGHN FOR
SPRINGBORO SCHOOL BOARD
WE BELIEVE for too long our leadership was not motivated, content with the status quo, leaving too many children underserved. The direction we head now is sustainable, it creates opportunity, it offers balance, and it states the truth.
WE BELIEVE in order to deliver the highest level of education we must raise the bar will past the state minimums and strive to challenge our children, parents, and staff to reach higher.
WE BELIEVE that allocating resources from areas of less demand to areas of greater demand is one common sense approach to resolving needs in our schools.
WE BELIEVE that in order to take advantage of the higher level classes at the high school, more children must be put on that track at earlier grade levels.
LOOK AT TODAY AND THE FUTURE!
IF YOU BELIEVE, AS BITNER/VAUGHN, PLEASE JOIN US
IN VOTING TO ELECT DAVID BITNER AND KOLTON VAUGHN AS OUR NEXT TWO BOARD REPRESENTATIVES.
VOTE YOUR BELIEFS IN OUR CHILDREN'S FIRST BEST INTEREST IN EVERY DECISION BEING MADE BY OUR
SCHOOL BOARD REPRESENTATIVES!
VOTE FOR DAVID BITNER and KOLTON VAUGHN
VOTE FOR RENEWAL LEVY THAT SAVES TAXPAYERS $6.5 MILLION!
IT'S A WINNING THREESOME VOTE FOR ALL STUDENTS, PARENTS, SCHOOL EMPLOYEES, and COMMUNITY TAXPAYERS!

No Debate about it, sadly PROFICIENT equals FAILING.
Good to know our high school is #97 and only Monroe #90, Waynesville #53, Centerville #49, Lebanon #48, Brookville #41, Bellbrook #37, Mason,#35, Kings Mill #23, and Oakwood #9 stand in front of us locally.
Trouble is not enough of our students are prepared to take advanced courses in the high school.
Couple that with our 21% College Readiness score (this is the number of 12th graders with passing scores on A/P exams) and you see why we are remarkably that lowly rated by USNEWS.
For a place with a 40% gifted student population, that is severely under performing.
What has Mr. Malone been doing for 13 years?

Your name is aptly derived, No Debate. It is as though you had no well organized, nor thoughtful response to the points of the article.
Or perhaps you agree as well with the article.
At least that would provide a plausible excuse for your avoidance of meaningful debate.
Your conscience got the best of you again.
