Related note: the more competitive colleges, tend to accept AP classes and not PESO. Reason being, the AP classes must met national criteria whereas the PESO classes do not as they could be taught by a wide range of types and quality of colleges. I have personally had this confirmed when asking questions during college visits. Based on recent comments made by the BOE in their meetings, I think they have now gained an understanding of this. I was concerned earlier on that they thought PESO classes were the solution to everything. They can be an excellent option for students who plan on attending the less competitive colleges. Both PESO and AP classes are good, just in different situations.
