Target killed SEARs and Kmart, weren't they smart? Does that corporate peer-pressure child-psychology jive encourage those Target associates to commute and drive some more to be employed at another store? CUB is where they bought their food. But, like ya know, I still shop at the Office Depot, about the only store left, despite the shoplifting and theft.

Plenty of business in Trotwood. Two former manager told me that loss mitigation, security overhead, and vandalism is the primary reason that at least some retail has left that area. K-Mart, Sears, MC sports, AJ Wright, Elder Beerman, Best Buy and now Target would have probably had this as a factor, among other reasons.
All of the mall stores, Wolohans, Builder's square, Franks, Sutherlands, Cub Foods have been closed for apparently other reasons, ie- chain wide bankrupcies or discontinuation. Wal-mart eschewed an inadequate site across the road to locate it's super store in Clayton. But there is plenty of business to be had in Trotwood, the costs are just too high.

I am buying a new Hewlett-Packard desktop computer at Office Depot, where I also bought this Toshiba laptop and office supplies; it is also a good place to make copies. We need this good big store because around here there are no more!

I've heard that Lowes may leave, but not from any authoritative source. Could be an inaccurate rumor.

I'll post what, when, where I like, as long as I identify what is fact and what is speculation. Don't like it? YOU can quit reading, or, romance yourself with a rusty fencepost.
