I hear a lot of people complain that it is absurd that 85% of the money for Springboro Schools goes to teacher salaries. What percentage of a companies gross income in the private sector goes towards salaries?

If so and they turn out a lousy product, the public will no longer buy it and the company goes out of business. The public is not forced to buy it.

A company that puts 85% into salaries and devotes just 15% to R & D, manufacturing, etc. will eventually put out a lousy product.
When you keep spending 85% on salaries for teachers and not invest any thing that improves students you turn out a lousy student. Like Dayton schools.
When you turn out a lousy product people won't buy or invest in it.
To maintain that 85% you need to charge more for your product, you risk pricing yourself out of the market.

So basically you have no clue what other companies spend on the salaries of their employees? That is what I was asking.

Since we're on the subject of salaries. What do the three most vocal anti tax anti union anti springboro public school non profiteers and entrepreneurs make per year? Luers, Petroni, Rigano care to respond?

The problem isn't the amount of salaries paid - it is the fact that bad, lazy and burned out teachers are paid the same amount as enthusiastic and good teachers - and they can't be fired. No where in the private sector does this happen.

100% not true. They are paid much more than the younger teachers.
